25/12/2025: We had lunch in early December at a trattoria like it used to be. We had a trio of tortelli with ricotta and mushrooms, pumpkin, and chestnut, and two portions of fried polenta with mushrooms, pancetta, and stracchino cheese. Everything was excellent, and the portions were generous. The service and the location were both excellent. The price was average, and I highly recommend it.
29/09/2025: Ricco's Antica Trattoria is a historic trattoria that offers typical Modenese cuisine. We had a half-liter of wine and still water, followed by a grilled meat with potatoes, which was good and also abundant with potatoes as a side dish, a delicious tortellone with butter and sage, very good cod fritters, and finally a tasty panna cotta. We had 2 coffees for a total bill of €56, which I consider fair. Very friendly staff.

I was immediately shown to my table, served drinks, bread, and breadsticks, then the gentleman listed the menu for me...plenty of choice between first and second courses.
I opted for the cooked and sautéed tortellini with porcini mushrooms, wild boar morsels, and boiled and sautéed potatoes, and a house dessert.
Everything was truly excellent.
The price was in line with the dishes, the quality of the ingredients, everything homemade, the coffee, and the service. 👏👏

22/03/2026: Looking for a traditional lunch, we were welcomed to this trattoria by the owner and staff, who were truly kind, friendly, pleasant, and professional. The food met our expectations and definitely left us with fond memories of this Modenese lunch. The lasagna and tortellini with parmesan cream were very enjoyable. The desserts (torta tenerone with mascarpone cream and almond and strawberry tart) were wonderful.
07/03/2026: A good experience at this downtown trattoria. The cutlet was excellent, crispy and dry, and definitely recommended. Friendly staff. Prices are moderate to high.

01/02/2026: A welcoming restaurant with carefully prepared and well-executed dishes. A traditional menu featuring quality ingredients. A good wine list, and the owner and staff are attentive to every need. A special mention goes to the polenta with truffle, an excellent appetizer, and also to the creamy gelato with hard cheese. Definitely worth trying again!
18/01/2026: We had lunch today at this restaurant in Spilamberto. The atmosphere was informal and welcoming, the staff friendly, and the food excellent. A great experience, highly recommended, we'll be back!

17/10/2025: They are welcoming and polite. They prepared my take out even though I just walked-in and asked for it. They catered to all my requests and also switched to speaking in English. Not only was the food delicious, it felt like an embrace because of their hospitality and graciousness. Recommended!
06/10/2025: The paella was delicious, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, they messed up the orders, and our takeout paella was delivered almost half an hour late. Also, the prices have gone up since our last visit; we ordered six fish-only portions and six mixed portions, for a total of €160. Way too much for a takeout.

A well-stocked bar and grocery store.
They make their own focaccia, cakes, and cookies.
Perfect for a break, a quick bite to eat, an aperitif, and for grocery shopping!
12/10/2025: Paolo and Caterina are always kind. The best prosciutto crudo. The cakes she makes are second to none.
