27/11/2025: Very good, just the right amount, not too big and not too small!

23/11/2025: Even though I've been with my dog ​​before, today my 3kg dog was not allowed. Furthermore, a young man, likely an agitated and perhaps work-stressed owner, amidst the chaos and noise that reigned supreme in the restaurant, told us in a loud and annoyed tone that we needed to be respectful of the other diners because the dog could bother them. When we declined the reservation, he yelled at us, telling us not to come back. He would have simply asked us to be private and politely tell us not to bring the dog again. Before asking for respect from a customer, perhaps we should give it. I repeat, we hadn't mentioned the dog, because she had always been there before. Perhaps we made a mistake, for which we apologize to the other customers. The management, however, was extremely rude! Anyway, we went to another restaurant, very quiet and welcoming, which even gave our Cicci a bowl of water. Culinary art should always be combined with the well-being of entertainment and not just be seen as the mere consumption of food, even ordinary food.

16/05/2026: Excellent! Gnocchi is super soft & goes well with pea sauce. Veal cheek is also tasty. Homemade sourdough is superb with aromatic crust & soft+moist dough! 🤤🤤🤤. Restaurant staff are polite & friendly.

09/05/2026: We booked for lunch on a Saturday, passing through for a stroll on the beach. The house appetizer was spaghetti with clams and chips. The spaghetti was rather bland, characterless, and in a pool of oil; lots of the clams were closed. Nothing special.

04/05/2026: To call it a trattoria would be an understatement; a top-notch restaurant both for the quality of the dishes and the service. They offer Prosecco and seafood appetizers, and the first courses are truly delicious (spaghetti allo scoglio) and unique (fusilli with anchovies, cauliflower, pecorino cheese, and raisins). The desserts are also very tasty, accompanied by complimentary sweets. Very friendly and professional service. A wonderful discovery.

21/04/2026: A secluded seafood trattoria, a gem near the historic center. Superior menu, simple but delicious dishes, and a good value. Highly recommended, always a sure thing!

04/05/2026: Piadineria along the navigable canal with tables outside, well managed and cared for, with excellent piadinas cooked on the spot, very well filled, I recommend trying it with Zia Ferrarese, a typical salami of the area.

19/03/2026: I had the pleasure of spending time at Bar Messisbugo and want to give an extremely positive review. The atmosphere immediately stands out for its aesthetic beauty: meticulous attention to detail, with an almost rustic style that conveys a pleasant feeling of familiarity and welcome. It's one of those places where you immediately feel at ease, like at home. A heartfelt thank you goes to all the staff for their kindness and hospitality. In particular, I'd like to commend the curly-haired, tattooed bartender/waiter, who provided truly impeccable service. He stood out for his friendliness, professionalism, and spontaneity: extremely kind, helpful, and also very personable, capable of engaging in conversation with pleasure. Overall, the entire staff was extraordinary, helping to make the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place and will gladly return.

26/10/2025: A unique experience with onion soup and pumpkin soup, accompanied by gourmet touches (cheese, amaretti biscuits, etc.). Highly recommended.

30/04/2026: A Caribbean-style pub, half mixed, half mixed. An hour's wait for food, 40 minutes for a reheated plate. €23 per person is decidedly expensive. The chips are good, but the fish is definitely too greasy. Everyone can't pay for themselves because the debit card transaction must match the receipt; you can't add up multiple debit card transactions. I honestly wouldn't recommend it.

31/05/2026: Wonderful experience. Warmly welcomed by staff. The menu features regional specialties with unique aspects, and everything we had was delicious. The little courtyard is a lovely place to dine, with flowering vines covering the walls. Definitely recommend.

15/05/2026: Our friend Barbara from Ferrara recommended this Osteria to us. We had a wonderful time, with a warm welcome and excellent service. The Osteria boasts comfortable, intimate spaces. The dishes are traditional Este fare, from cappellacci to salama da sugo, and the legendary tenerina. Everything is excellent, flavorful, and easy to digest, especially the salama da sugo, which is notoriously a "hot" dish for tourists! I personally recommend the cappelletti in capon and beef broth, followed by the salama with excellent mashed potatoes. The tenerina is Ferrara's top dessert, and I recommend always taking some home with you. We'll be back to Osteria della Campana soon! Thanks, Barbara, for the tip!!! 🏆👌

17/05/2026: Pizza molto buona ..... si sente proprio che è la pizza del ciclone.... consiglio anche i piatti a base di pesce...... inoltre sono sempre veloci e gentili ...... anche a casa la pizza del Ciclone è sempre ottima !

16/05/2026: Sunday lunch, reservations. My girlfriend and I sit at a table so close to the bathroom that (with all the commotion) I couldn't hear myself through the hand-drying device. I politely ask the waiter to move us because we couldn't even hear each other, and he snorts and asks very rudely. They seat me in front of the pizzeria, which would be fine despite being very close to the waiters' station where they stop to cut bread/make desserts, etc. If it weren't for the fact that we're sitting right next to the kitchen intercom. Every dish that came out was called over the intercom, and we were promptly deafened. For those reading this for the food, at least that's pretty good. If you go on a quieter day, you might have a better time, but I'm reviewing it for the rudeness and the disappointment of eating a good dish surrounded by incredible commotion. Had I not booked, I would have understood (more or less), but you know you'll be hosting two more customers. Try not to make your lunch break—which is a time for conviviality, pleasure, and relaxation—a moment of nervousness and discomfort. Maybe next time you won't, but I don't think I'll be coming again.
