Excellent quality food, excellent service, kindness and courtesy are the masters. Given the presence of several people with different intolerances, they were impeccable. 19/04/2026: Disappointing, despite the perfect location. Priced higher for a double room with a canal view, but it overlooks a building under renovation. To see the canal, you have to lean out with difficulty. Small room with no character, ordinary wooden furniture, bedspread serving as a blanket, bathroom with a very noisy exhaust fan. Minimal breakfast and service. Unsatisfactory value for money.

10/10/2025: A very refined and welcoming restaurant, furnished with a simple yet warm taste. The welcome was extremely courteous, making us immediately feel at home. We chose a carafe of red wine, which turned out to be surprisingly good, well above the average for what's usually offered at this restaurant. The first courses were a real surprise: the spaghetti alla chitarra with seafood and the potato and spinach gnocchi with a delicate cream, prosciutto, and chopped pistachios (off-menu, special of the day) were both excellent, with generous portions and precise cooking. The most memorable note were the tigelle: light dough, perfect air bubbles, evenly cooked. Truly among the best we've tried, true to the tradition of Pavullo nel Frignano. The accompanying cured meats were also excellent, clearly of high quality. The generous portions prevented us from continuing with other tastings, but this remains a more than compelling reason to return and explore the rest of the menu. Conclusion: a restaurant where cuisine, hospitality, and atmosphere coexist in harmony. Compliments to the dining room and kitchen staff. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

17/05/2026: An honest trattoria in the center of Comacchio, one of only three places in the entire town with a wood-fired grill (from what we were told by the local shopkeepers). Home-style cooking, very well done. Vasco and Giulia take care of the kitchen and are very careful about choosing the right ingredients. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Fresh fish is treated with respect. In the seafood appetizer, the cephalopods are steamed. The fried fish is fresh, plentiful, dry, and crispy. The grilled eel is truly delicious. The zuppa inglese deserves praise; the shape was a bit messy, but the flavor was perfect. The sponge cake is made by the owners' mother, who is in her nineties, and the recipe is the same as it used to be. I hope to return soon.

17/05/2026: I stopped here yesterday morning to have a good breakfast. Unfortunately many good pastries were already sold out by the time I reached Kristall Bakery but I still managed to order a Pangocciolo al Cioccolato which was really on point. There's many seats both inside and outside and the overall atmosphere is quite welcoming. I was very satisfied both with the food and the customer service and I would definitely come back if I ever stop by Ferrara again!!

17/02/2026: Cambusa was an experience. It was a place I'd been eyeing for a while, and I finally managed to go in and spend an evening there. Amazing, beautiful place, wonderful people, delicious food. Perfect for meeting people, listening to jazz, and drinking a good Guinness. The owner is very kind and full of stories from the place's past. A peaceful haven in Ferrara.

Specifically, when we asked to order, the blonde waitress with straight hair blatantly ignored us, refusing to even look at us and sending a colleague to take our order. I absolutely do not recommend this place: politeness and hospitality should be the foundation of any restaurant business.
