18/03/2024: Average food...if the courses were slightly more abundant, you get a small dish of penne all'arabbiata which you take two forkfuls of, they're already finished then I don't understand why the grated cheese is put in the kitchen. 25/02/2024: Unfortunately I can't give more than 5 stars! A beautiful surprise! I was in Ferrara for tourism and despite appreciating the excellent cuisine of Emilia-Romagna I chose this Tuscan trattoria being a lover of those lands and those dishes: It's difficult to identify just one highlight, because everything was perfect, but if I were forced to choose, perhaps I would mention the very presence of Baffino, the elderly gentleman who gives his name to the place and who, after coming in person to show us the Florentine as they did in the old days, he enlivened our evening with grace and genuineness through his anecdotes and with a very Tuscan truthfulness and irony (and obviously an accent). The environment is perfect for the type of place: tables with red and white checkered tablecloths, candles, flasks, exposed bricks, blackboards with writings that bring smiles. The waiters are professional and very kind. The location is excellent: in the pedestrian center of the city. The food was truly delicious: from the classic crostini with livers, but also with sausage and pachino tomatoes, through the traditional tomato soup to the steak: market price, 1350 grams of very tender meat which two of us finished, accompanied with a nice glass of house red. The Fiorentina, as is right and normal, increases the bill a little, but I appreciated that the menu was really varied and deep in terms of dishes: for those who don't want to take the Fiorentina, in fact, there are really many quality choices with the possibility of spending less than us who on this occasion wanted to enjoy it... This place deserves it, try it!

15/08/2023: Peccato i tempi sono cambiati anche per questa gelateria che da quando è nata è sempre stata un orgoglio per il paese, ora non è più così i prezzi sono alle stelle non sono più incluse nel prezzo cialde all’acquisto di vaschette e il sapore di parecchi gusti non è più paragonabile a quello di un tempo, ad esempio ora il “sambuco e mirtillo” ha il gusto di sapone….Peccato anche, che la location sia stata avvolta da negozi pakistani che emanano sapori di kebab e altre spezie fuori luogo
