We started with a cold cuts platter accompanied by friggione, brie, and pinzini—a classic and well-executed appetizer—followed by a simply wonderful tartare. For main courses, the slow-cooked pork tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and the fillet was nothing short of incredible: impeccably cooked, with bold flavors. The wine list deserves special mention: we chose a truly excellent Sangiovese, a perfect pairing with the dishes. My only personal comment—the fried porcini mushrooms weren't my cup of tea, but I have to be honest: they were well-executed; it's just a matter of taste. Attentive staff, meticulous preparation, and a quality wine selection. Highly recommended for those seeking a high-end dinner without sacrificing tradition.

29/11/2025: A very welcoming family Sunday lunch. We sampled traditional first courses, including cappelletti in brodo (a type of pasta in broth) and cappellacci (a type of pumpkin ravioli) with ragù. The fresh pasta was excellent and perfectly cooked. For main courses, we had the mixed grill and, of course, the ever-present mutton for which this trattoria is renowned. The meat was truly delicious, perfectly cooked. The desserts were also very good, and the service was attentive. I highly recommend this trattoria. Reservations are required at least two weeks in advance.

29/04/2026: They welcomed us to a table of 25, including chaperones and members of a BaskIn team, having called half an hour earlier. It was a Sunday in April and it was already 1 p.m. This isn't a given, not at all; they were truly patient and accommodated us, letting us celebrate well past the usual closing time. They accommodated both small and large needs: splendid service. Splendid food! Truly generous dishes, a menu with a decent number of choices, and all the combinations were sophisticated. Ferrarese tradition is respected with pumpkin tortelli, slightly wide but delicious tagliatelle with ragù or mushrooms, and the fried fish and grilled fish are also excellent. Outstanding desserts to round it all off, with the babbà taking the cake. I'll definitely return, perhaps more slowly, without the wild crew, but we had a wonderful time. The à la carte menu is mid-range in terms of price, fully justified by the quality of the fish and the generous portions. Highly recommended.

28/04/2026: Friendly and professional staff. The spaghetti allo scoglio was very good: fresh seafood, perfectly cooked pasta, and a flavorful sauce that made us mop up the sauce with bread. Well done!

07/03/2026: Even though I'm from the town, I used to go there for lunch every now and then with my husband, who unfortunately has now gone to heaven, and I always had a good time. As a very critical gourmet, I can say this both under the old management, Poldo, and under the new one, which has maintained the quality and kindness. I've also recommended it to people who came to do some work on me, and they thanked me for the good suggestion.
