02/05/2026: The staff is unqualified. I ordered two cones, a medium 4 and a large 5, and the girl told me a medium 3 and a large 5. Since I no longer had the receipt, I had to show them the payment with the POS. They create the cone by stacking the flavors in a pyramid, one on top of the other, with the cream on the side... The result was cream on the floor. I don't recommend this ice cream shop.

13/05/2026: The only time I got a take-out pizza, the bottom was completely burnt, I ate the toppings and threw away the pizza that was beautiful on top but burnt on the bottom.
15/04/2026: Went on the recommendation of friends who can say I ate well and they do their job well. Very easy-going, very simple, recommended.

03/05/2026: We can't agree with the 4.4 rating. We were there at Easter, a party of three, and the piadina dough wasn't cooked through, and the filling was disappointing. Okay, it was busy, and today we thought we'd give it another try. The fish piadina with tuna was only filled with maybe 30 grams of tuna in the middle, and the 2.5 cm border was just dough. The filling in Cotto's piadina was okay, but it was mostly mayonnaise, and the dough was again thick and undercooked. We won't be coming back because the quality doesn't seem to be any better.

03/05/2026: I recommend the eel appetizer with eel pâté. For those who are passionate about eel, there's also the grilled eel, which is absolutely tender and not burnt, as you might find elsewhere. An excellent restaurant for eel in all its forms. The staff is friendly and professional.

11/05/2026: May Day lunch. When we decided to leave Porto Garibaldi due to full restaurants and impossible parking, we found ourselves walking along a pine forest near "Pericle." We called to check availability, and from there, the feedback grew increasingly positive. A welcoming place, with friendly staff who were attentive and explained everything on the menu (and off-menu). Excellent food, from grilled eel to cod strips, and topped off with an exceptional mixed seafood fry. Highly recommended.

03/09/2025: I've been buying Rozalia henna for several years. I learned the technique by following her YouTube channel, which has a wealth of content. The powder mixes with water, and the consistency remains creamy, making it easy to apply. I recommend purchasing it; you won't regret it.

07/05/2026: As a couple touring Emelia Romagna guided by the recommendations in New Yorker Fred Plotkin’s fantastic gourmet food guide to Italy (latest edition now 12 years old), this was a disappointing experience after eating in Firenze, Siena, and Bologna. In terms of service, this restaurant lacks the warmth and personality we’ve come to expect. The ladies serving were cordial but stiff and were not helpful paring wines with the Ferrarese multi-course dishes we ordered. We chose a red wine, Vigna del Pruno 2021, from the Ravenna region that was quite good after airing in a carafe. The cured meat appetizers were the highlight of the meal including the mild, spreadable cheese and pickled onions. The onions were a wonderful palette cleanser between meats. The next dish came in two parts. First the Cappellacci di Zucca all’ Antico Ragù surprised us as the butternut squash grown in the Ferrara region is the Violina, a sweet variety. We are learning that dishes like this which contrasts the sweet with the savory is a local tradition going back to Renaissance times. For us it is a taste needing to be acquired as we think the savory pork based ragu and pasta competes with the sweet squash filling. Also on this plate was Pasticcio all’ uso di Ferrara in crosta di Pasta frolla. Again, this is a sweet/savory combination that we’ll need to learn to appreciate. It’s a slightly sweet pastry shell filled with a good mix of pasta, ragu, nutmeg, and cheese. To our taste it would have been better served sans sugar. We were prepared to enjoy the next dish of a special salami which is highly spiced, savory, and rich in aromas as part of the Salama da Sugo con Puré di patate. We could not finish it as the sausage was over-the-top salty. No other spicy flavor was discernible as a result and the mashed potatoes soaking in the broth of the sausage was sweetened. Once more, unnecessarily to our tastes. We would have enjoyed the desserts had the salt from the previous dish not wiped out our taste buds. We can’t penalize this restaurant too much as we think the Ferrara style of contrasting the sweet with savory is not to our liking. But the unpalatable, overly salty salami was unacceptable and the service uninspiring.
04/05/2026: Excellent dinner in an elegant setting. Prompt and attentive service, very good food. We enjoyed the macaroni pie and the veal cheek. The traditional pinzini appetizer was exceptional. Highly recommended.
