Excellent food, excellent service. The waiter/cashier is unique. If you come in in a bad mood, you can be sure he'll make it up to you. He's always smiling and very kind.

A historic restaurant in Ferrara, which has moved closer to the city center and has maintained the same Semite cuisine, with excellent first and second courses. At lunchtime, they have a set menu with generous dishes. The service is quick and the staff is friendly.

Sgnadur (rolling pin in Ferrara dialect) is always an excellent choice. Donkey with polenta (when available) is my favorite, and the cappellacci are always fabulous. And I always recommend the fried pinzini and charcuterie board to start. They also have many other dishes, though I'm obsessed with the ones I've listed.

We had lunch for 2 days. The family atmosphere feels like being at Mom and Dad's house, but with the added professionalism of the dishes offered and the recommended wines. The food quality is excellent.
