07/12/2024: Con mio marito, ieri sera abbiamo approfittato dell'offerta con il coupon (2x1) la paella che abbiamo mangiato era quella negra, veramente molto buona unico neo era il gamberone che non sembrava freschissimo, il tutto accompagnato da un ottima sangria.

05/12/2024: Bell'ambiente! Col menù scritto in spagnolo e musica spagnola di sottofondo sembrava quasi di stare in Spagna 😁 abbiamo preso le croquetas de Jamon e il queso de oveja ed entrambi sono stati SQUISITI. La paella Valenciana sinceramente non ha niente a che vedere con la vera paella, ma comunque è buona nel suo genere. Prezzi alti, ma noi abbiamo usufruito del coupon una paella gratis quindi nn ci possiamo lamentare! In generale ci ritornerò.

07/12/2024: The owner is very snobbish and rudely asked us to be ready to make room for eventual upcoming customers during the busy hours. My husband and I are Cafe lovers and use to working or studying in coffee shops, so we often come here. Sometimes we just stopped for breakfast, but more often we read or work in the cafe. When there are many people, we may have chosen to leave early, and when there are fewer people, we would have stayed longer. The owner often asked us to sit at two-seat only table, even when the shop was still empty, as she knew that there more customers would have come, and she did not interfere with our table choice when otherwise. In the past, I thought it might have been purely for business consideration but, thanks to today's reply to my husband, I know that she has been dissatisfied with us for a long time. It seems that only when the amount of consumption reaches their standards one can we be qualified to be treated as real customer by the owner, even if we often went there when there were fewer people. We used to go often just because the part-time bartenders are very friendly and kind, but we will not go there again. This is not the atmosphere for a coffee shop I have in mind. Since I understand their point, and it looks like a win-win situation, I wish that our absence will increase the revenue of their shop in the next future.

07/12/2024: To this day, my wife and I were frequent visitors. However, the owners, and not for the first time (they had received the proverbial yellow card), when they foresee a greater frequency, chase away or try to chase away the loyal customers in favor of the occasional weekend customers - relegating the first ones downstairs, despite the fact that we had took a miserable table for two for us in a corner, certainly not occupying a table. The person in question prefers other people to be there, and will be satisfied. Even when the place is empty and we are among the very few sources of revenue. We didn't send her to hell just because there were young girls, and it would have been unfair to embarrass them. But we left, my wife more annoyed than me, and God bless us if we ever set foot again.

06/01/2025: I'm giving one star because 0 isn't possible. A trio of first courses served on plates divided into 3 compartments in the style of a railway workers' canteen, the taste left something to be desired and the ingredients were barely acceptable. Embarrassing gnocco and tigelle, hard and dry tigelle, certainly bought and of very low quality, thick and greasy gnocco that has nothing to do with that of the Modena tradition. Honestly, I didn't expect to find something similar in Modena, it seems like one of those tourist restaurants in big cities where the only people who appreciate it are those who have no idea what what they're eating should taste like. The only positive note is that the staff is friendly and helpful, but if you want to eat well, go elsewhere

01/01/2025: I'm giving one star because it's absolutely unacceptable that on the evening of 12/31/2024 they will necessarily add 20% more to your bill on the total. which they were already doing that evening so they weren't asked for dishes that weren't on the menu. Shameful

14/01/2025: The ice cream is average, service not up to par with one of the best ice cream shops in all of Ravenna (according to Google). Since I discovered a chain of ice cream parlors in Cesena there has been no comparison for the ice cream, trust me, it's worth spending an hour to eat that ice cream, completely another world! Returning to Papilla, since it is also divided into three shops, I expect a quality at least similar to that of the competition, but the product is truly terrible, most of the flavors have only a hint of the chosen flavour. When I want ice cream I know where to go from now on, unfortunately not in Ravenna.

19/11/2024: Two weeks ago I ordered a cake (example photo above) the day before collection they sent me a photo of the finished cake (photo below) as you can clearly see the writing is not centered and the letters are all smudged. I later asked if it was possible to fix it as soon as the photo was sent to me without receiving any response, consequently I asked to remove them completely since it is unacceptable for a pastry shop to deliver such a product, especially for an important occasion. I went to the pastry shop to collect it and the staff was not cooperative towards me. They patronized me as if I had no reason to complain. I took up the review made by another customer and saw myself in what he wrote.

02/10/2024: In a Parma that is decidedly not oriented towards gluten-free, this place is a little jewel for us celiacs. The owner is friendly and offers a wide selection of sweet and savory products. All very good, the rosettes, the miniatures, the puff pastries. Special mention for the cream donut, never tasted so good! Since it is in an area slightly outside the center, I recommend stopping there at the beginning of your stay to stock up on everything, because you will find very little gluten-free in the places in Parma.

05/10/2024: Original place on the bank of the Po river, genuine and typical food of the place, some pleasant artistic entertainment, with music and folklore plays, this with the past management. For a few weeks there have been new managers, from what we learned and read on the poster displayed, they intend to continue both with the organization of cultural and musical events, with the typical Piacenza cuisine, in addition they offer midday lunch for workers and not at the price of €13. I still have to visit the place to appreciate what the new managers have proposed.
