22/03/2026: Little spot barely visible from the street. Look for the neon sign. We got there at the opening time so we got table right away, but it got busy very soon. It accommodates locals as well as tourists. We had lasagna and cacio e pepe, and it was delicious. While the service was super busy but they still managed to serve you quickly.

21/03/2026: An authentic trattoria, the atmosphere is quite warm, a little noisy as it's always very busy. The typical Tuscan dishes are very good; we ate there several times and everything was delicious. Stefano was very friendly and made our stay even better each time we visited. 20/01/2026: Just outside the walls of the picturesque village of Pienza, near the parking lots—the ones with parking discs, that is—on the narrow road that slopes down from the village, toward Colombaiolo, lies this small trattoria. It's rustic in style but has a somewhat unassuming appearance, to use the Tuscan dialect term. It lacks personality and a sense of local identity. Its notable virtuous soul is a small fireplace in the center of the dining room. As is well known, a fire creates a convivial and pleasant atmosphere, especially on gray winter days! La Chiocciola is always very popular, especially with tourists, but there's no shortage of locals, too. This is my second visit! The food is honest, simple, and unpretentious. The ingredients used are certainly not top-notch, but that's fine. In short, traditional dishes, discreet service, and reasonable prices.

01/03/2026: Recommended by a local friend, an excellent choice. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Arnaldo guided us right from the start through the menu (special mention for the latter, which I forgot to photograph, but is very valuable for its uniqueness!), and then he paired it with an excellent red wine he produces, DODO. Since there were two of us, we took the opportunity to try the other's dishes, and we were not disappointed. The ribollita and the pastrami were definitely exceptional. After concluding the evening with his crema catalana sbagliato, I can only give it 5 stars and promise to return. I recommend booking in advance.

11/03/2026: A wonderful lunch with friends!!! We tried the various house specialties (that's what we went for 😁). I highly recommend the lampredotto meatballs, the tongue carpaccio, and the fried tagliata with anchovies... each one better than the last, paired with an excellent 1.5-liter red wine. The service is very friendly, very fast, and always makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend going there for lunch and enjoying a delicious meal.

03/03/2026: Terrible experience and inappropriate behavior. We made a reservation request through TheFork that included a 20% discount for Sunday lunch. The platform, at the time of the request (Tuesday), showed full availability. However, the restaurant never confirmed the reservation, leaving it on hold for days. We called several times to investigate the issue and were always referred to the owner, the only one who apparently monitors and accepts reservations from The Fork. After several reminders and requests to speak with him directly, he simply canceled our reservation the day before, claiming that all the tables were already full. This is unlikely, given that the availability was there when we made the request. The result? We found ourselves with all the other restaurants already full, risking not finding a table elsewhere. The feeling is that the restaurant is leaving reservations with discounts pending to see if they can fill the restaurant without promotions, and then possibly canceling them at the last minute. If this were the case, it would be extremely unfair to customers. I advise everyone to be careful: booking with this restaurant carries the real risk of having your reservation canceled at the last minute.

12/02/2026: Fabulous! My wife took me to Suvereto for my birthday. A very pleasant surprise: dinner at I Ciocio, this wonderful restaurant in the historic center of one of Italy's most beautiful villages. The warm atmosphere immediately puts you at ease, before moving on to the divine dishes with fantastic flavors and aromas, along with great wines recommended with wisdom and professionalism. They cook with respect for both tradition and the ingredients, always incredibly fresh, which they prepare with love. The dishes are few, but more than enough for a very satisfying selection. 31/01/2026: I was there recently. The restaurant recently changed management, but the menu features the same traditional local dishes. The owner and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly, making this a truly authentic Sienese restaurant. The quality/price ratio is admirable; try it and believe it!

09/03/2026: Fantastic restaurant in the hills. Beautiful views, friendly service, and fabulous Tuscan dishes. The environment is clean and tidy, and dog-friendly. The sign at the entrance recommends not bringing cats. The road is a bit rough, but it's worth it. Kudos to the staff.

26/01/2026: Review of the restaurant because I didn't stay overnight. The restaurant is very spacious, yet the service was excellent, efficient, and courteous. The food is excellent and the price is fair. I had the delicious polenta with wild boar ragù and a perfectly cooked tagliata with top-quality meat. The dessert was also delicious. Well done, highly recommended.

17/03/2026: On Saturday evening, we had dinner at this restaurant, which we'd known for years. We ate well; the only complaint was the "cacio e pepe" pici, which was just cheese; there was no pepper at all, but that can happen. The only downside, however, was the bill, which I hadn't checked at checkout because we had guests. When I returned to the hotel and read the receipt, I noticed that the "welcome appetizer" brought to the table while we waited for the appetizer was ultimately charged as a "peasant cover charge." We're talking only €3 per person, but it seemed like something the restaurant offered while we waited for the main course. What really shocked me, however, was that they charged us €17 for three (three in total) pieces of pork ribs (the dish was listed on the receipt as "ribs and sausages - only ribs"). For the sake of clarity, when my wife ordered, she had asked for four spare ribs, in addition to the "rosemary tagliata" (priced at €18.00). After the tagliata, she was brought a small plate with three pieces of spare ribs (instead of the four requested, but for goodness sake, it can happen). It was really just a taste, not even a half portion. And this "taste" cost us €17. That seems like a huge outrage to me. And I don't think it was an oversight on the part of the restaurant, because the dish was listed on the bill as "ribs and sausages - only spare ribs"... You did a good job; it's a real shame to lose out on these things.
