21/12/2025: Nice place, but the food was truly awful. I've never seen Emmental on a cheese platter! And buffalo mozzarella with slices of salmon. Spaghetti with clams tasted like nothing. The desserts were soggy and rubbery. It's a shame because two years ago I'd eaten decently. No rum, just the usual bitters.

08/12/2025: A friend recommended the restaurant to us and was extremely pleased with it, and I can only confirm it. Everything was excellent and reasonably priced. We had artichokes Roman-style and Jewish-style, carbonara, amatriciana, ravioli with meat sauce, tagliolini with tomato sauce, and fried fish. To finish, a dessert with a warm center covered in pistachio cream. We were very satisfied, we'll be back.

14/08/2025: I'll go by points to try to be objective: Food: far from Roman cuisine. The same seasoning as the bruschetta is found in the spaghetti with clams (with onion). The service was more focused on watching TV than on the service. Ambience: A family atmosphere, but after a while, you felt like you were in the way.

11/12/2025: "Scandalous" to say the least! A place as aesthetically beautiful as it was devastated by decidedly poor cuisine and table service worthy of the "worst trattoria in Caracas." I'll briefly comment on the average prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella, the only edible item at this dinner. The mezze maniche with amatriciana sauce was cooked okay (al dente), but the sauce was fresh and tasted more like a light tomato and basil sauce than a Roman amatriciana. The thing that left me most speechless was the second course: a dry and flavorless mixed grill consisting of a tagliata, dry chicken, spare ribs, and tough sausages. All accompanied by a plate of grilled vegetables mixed together like leftovers from other tables. A truly unspeakable dish in terms of flavor and presentation. Throughout the evening, the waiters at our table served by banging plates on the table and asking for this and that to be passed to them; we practically worked with them. These large tables may be uncomfortable for an average waiter, but find another solution so that the customers don't have to work at dinner too. Asking "pass me the plates, bottles, and cutlery" all evening isn't pleasant. I don't think we'll ever go back.

08/12/2025: The restaurant offers a spacious and well-appointed atmosphere, with high ceilings that make it pleasant, although a bit noisy during peak hours. The menu is varied, and the beautifully presented display of premium meats is a striking feature as soon as you enter. Service, due to the size of the room, can be less attentive during busy times, such as the simple gesture of requesting a coffee at the end of a meal. Overall, the experience remains positive, and the restaurant remains a good choice for a lunch break.

18/10/2025: We hosted a reception for 25 guests to celebrate our daughter's graduation thesis, and it was a real success. The quality of the food was excellent, both the savory and the desserts. The variety and quality of the cocktails were also remarkable. And the cake topping was a true masterpiece in its deliciousness and balance. All this was accompanied by attentive and courteous service in a quiet and private setting. Thanks to Bar Benaco for a wonderful evening on such an important day for us.

04/12/2025: A very pleasant experience, a warm welcome, local and homemade cuisine, and reasonable prices. A friendly, family-run restaurant. Highly recommended in this area where most restaurants are tourist traps.

24/10/2025: Forget it, 67-year-old Roman. Trastevere is now a no-man's land. Carbonara with spaghetti to forget. Unpronounceable bacon. Matriciana is insubstantial and bland. It takes a lot to cook this badly in Italy. It's a tourist trap. The chef, in his 30s, should change profession. The place is run by young people who can't forgive everything. 14.50 for a carbonara? Measly portions. The quality of the raw materials is very questionable. Failed on all fronts.

07/12/2025: Service and vibes were wonderful. Great drinks and my pasta was delicious- they even let me change up my order that wasnt on the menu. My husbands steak was cooked rare when asked for medium, and it was the listed special but was much more expensive than any other steak on the menu. Our fault for not asking what the price was. Overall, great meal and the atmosphere was nice but we'd do things a little differently next time for sure.

30/11/2025: Probably the best pasta I have ever gotten in my life. Most recommended by my brother and he was 100% right. The owner and the atmosphere were also a big plus.

07/12/2025: Terrible experience, we stopped for an aperitivo. The lady recommended the aperitivo menu for €20.00 per person. This included a choice of Aperol Spritz, a glass of wine, or draft beer, and a mixed platter per person, including cured meats, bruschetta, cheeses, and vegetables. We received a platter with three small pieces of caciocavallo cheese with peppers, three slices of salami, and two triangles of mortadella, for the modest sum of €20. I strongly advise you avoid this place!

02/12/2025: Horrible experience and mediocre food quality. I've never regretted choosing a restaurant like this in Rome. A €15 starter, supposedly seafood-based, was served with 100% stale ingredients. It's a real shame.

16/11/2025: Quiet and cozy, BUT THE PIZZA IS DISGUSTING. It's tough, overcooked, and the edges are edible. It's a shame, because this is the first place we've ever tried pizza in Rome. I'm crying, 13€ down the drain 😓 Pizza from a box or supermarket is even tastier, even though it doesn't look so bad in the photo...

16/10/2025: The cafe is nice, the menu is extensive, the prices are above average, the service is very mediocre) We ordered pizza and coffee, firstly, the waiter was upset that we took one pizza for two, ended up bringing the wrong dish with a dissatisfied look, then with a dissatisfied look he took it away, and literally threw our pizza on our table))) The pizza was tasty, but nothing special, so the cafe is basically nice, but you can find a more atmospheric place with good service

16/06/2025: Très agréablement surpris de trouver cette très bonne adresse dans ce quartier, la clientèle locale ne s’y trompe pas, elle vient nombreuse. La cuisine est assez élaborée, le service attentionné et les prix raisonnables.

30/03/2025: Cena con famiglia. Ordinati 4 primi: 2 carbonare, 1 tonnarello cacio e pepe e un’amatriciana… tutti talmente salati che sembravano cotti nell’acqua di mare! Sicuramente non assaggiati dal cuoco. Impossibile finire la portata. Mai più.

17/10/2025: I'm back after almost 30 years. I used to come here as a child with my family and to eat with friends in high school. If you're looking for a real Roman restaurant, leave the city center and go to a place that hasn't sold itself to "poshness." Roman pizzerias are like this: a casual atmosphere, a varied menu, generous portions, good food, reasonable prices... less show, more substance.
