L'Arcano In Roma

After eight years, I'm back at Arcano. When you enter, you're captivated by the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, a contrast to the bustle and crowds of the narrow streets outside. Even though it's changed little in all these years, the decor never feels old or shabby. The service is always excellent, punctual, and never intrusive. A tip: among the many well-prepared dishes made with top-quality ingredients, I recommend trying Arcano's cacio e pepe. It's truly delicious, and unlike many trattorias and places renowned for this dish, which I've practically visited while working in Rome, I insist on saying it's truly excellent. My compliments to the wonderful lady who continues to run this lovely place impeccably. See you soon...

I had lunch at L'Arcano during a visit to Rome and was truly satisfied with the experience. The location is fantastic, in the heart of the historic center, and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant, perfect for a relaxing lunch break. I really appreciated the quality of the dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. The portions were generous and the flavors authentic, with a particular focus on Roman tradition. The service was also a strong point: the staff was friendly, professional, and always available. Despite the area being very popular with tourists, the restaurant made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I found the value for money to be fair considering the location and the overall quality of the menu. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would gladly return to try other dishes on the menu. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good restaurant in central Rome where they can enjoy Italian cuisine in a pleasant and refined atmosphere.

Go for the pleasant outdoor atmosphere but not for the food because at that level you will be disappointed.

+ very cozy atmosphere with lights and (depending on the table) a little bit away from the crowded street but still outside + friendly and not too pushy personnel - we waited rather long for the main course to arrive - The tomato sauce on the pizza had a strong and irritating aftertaste. - the "very big" salmon salad was the absolute bare minimum of what could be expected. Just some green salad, large carrot bits, olives with stones, large tomato slices, corn, nuts, and three slices of smoked salmon.

I got the gnocchi and I enjoyed it! Probably a more touristy place, but the food was not bad!

Nice decor, great location. We ordered a pizza that was the house specialty; it was a bit more expensive than the others, but the taste was okay. What caught my attention was the professionalism of the staff. They aren't very friendly, but they are efficient and knew how to handle two consecutive incidents that culminated in broken glasses by customers quickly and discreetly.
