14/02/2025: A bar with tables and a wide choice of gastronomy, many ready meals, a large choice of vegetables, soups, first and second courses of meat, desserts. The environment is simple and for a quick lunch or dinner, it is perfect. One step away from the Music Auditorium and the Maxxi museum. Great location

10/04/2025: This restaurant has stood out for its dishes and its extraordinary service, very warm and family-friendly, we have obviously visited several restaurants in Rome but if we have returned there 3 times it is because we have never been disappointed! Go there with your eyes closed!

08/04/2025: Pessima esperienza. Consigliato dal tassista, dopo esserci stati abbiamo pensato che il titolare è un suo amico o parente: non si spiegherebbe altrimenti. Iniziamo con la sensazione che ti fanno provare sia il titolare sia i dipendenti: sembra che ti stanno facendo un favore nel farti sedere a mangiare. Poi i piatti: niente di che. Maccheroni dalla bollitura al piatto senza mantecare, e ho detto tutto. Locale spartano stretto e brutto: le cameriere ti colpiscono per passare. Dulcis in fundo bagno turco...che schifo..sembrava di stare in una locanda del terzo mondo. Solo i prezzi sono come le altre trattorie.

09/04/2025: La Zingarella is an excellent neighborhood restaurant, a beautiful old-fashioned room, discreet and very professional service. The menu is varied and offers different traditional Italian dishes as well as pizzas. This evening we had a veal escalope with lemon sauce and a Saltimbocca all accompanied by vegetables in Contorni, it was simple but excellent, finely cooked. Don’t hesitate to come in to taste this very good cuisine. William and Helene.

05/04/2025: I cannot say enough about this experience. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food and wine are out of this world. A truly special evening in Rome. Highly recommended. If you have the chance don’t miss this opportunity you owe it to yourself. The pasta Alla gricia and amatriciana are AMAZING and the frascati wine is fantastic. The Roman twist on the tiramusu was a great surprise as well. The atmosphere later in the evening only added to a magical night. This is a must visit on your Rome food and wine discovery tour.

01/04/2025: True Roman cuisine. There is not a single dish I have tasted that did not have an authentic flavor, everything cooked excellently, we tasted appetizers, first courses and second courses. Quick service despite it being Saturday night (and the place full) and generous portions. Recommended!!!

29/03/2025: I nostri amici ci sono già stati e ci invitano a cena, io mi guardo un po’ di foto e qualche recensione, vediamo stasera L’accesso al locale è per una scala scura, sembra di entrare in club privé, poi l’ingresso è carino, si entra da un corridoio verandato che da sulla strada, poi un’ampia sala con arredi un po’ retrò La sala è stracolma di scaffali dove c’è di tutto, vecchie ceste, vassoi, valige, sedie, cristallerie varie, poi una grande bascula con del vino e vecchi cartelli di macelleria, qui si trattavano degli animali, vista la vicinanza con il mattatoio Ordiniamo dei fritti, carciofi, baccalà, fiori di zucca, molto buoni e per nulla unti, i carciofi con una pastella leggera tipo tempura, e le polpette di “allesso”, fatte bene Poi ordiniamo i primi, io prendo una carbonara, il mio amico e mia moglie tonnarelli cacio e pepe, la nostra amica invece delle verdure all’agro Niente da dire sulla preparazione della pasta, ottima la cacio e pepe, ben cremosa e sapida, buona anche la carbonara, la crema era ben fatta e fluida, peccato per il guanciale che non essendo pulito bene rilasciava quel sapore di rancido fritto, peccato, ma come fai a non pulire il guanciale, mannaggia!! Altro neo, a mio avviso, per altri potrebbe risultare una rivisitazione di antichi vettovagliamenti, ma l’insalatiera di porcellana sbeccata, in cui ci hanno servito non più di 50 gr. di pasta è veramente brutta, scomoda x mangiare e x nulla in linea con il locale, ci portavi dei vecchi piatti di porcellana, quelli pesanti di una volta ed era sicuramente molto meglio, mah! Da bere dei calici di vino che dovrebbero sostituire il vino della casa, senza infamia e senza lode! Nell’altra sala un bel camino la fa da padrone accanto ad un bel frigo con la carne a frollare Ci riproveremo con la carne??

19/02/2025: Hoy he disfrutado de un delicioso almuerzo aquí con un gran grupo de amigos. La comida era excelente, porciones generosas y el pan recién horneado. Elogios especiales para el flan de ricota y visciola hecho en casa y el personal amable súper eficiente. Volveremos pronto.

17/02/2025: Sabíamos que se requerirían reservas incluso para un miércoles por la noche. Pasamos por la tarde para hacer la reserva y nos quedamos impresionados por su profesionalidad - - acomodando nuestro italiano algo limitado. Llegamos antes de las 8 PM y el restaurante no se había llenado todavía. Ordenamos: tagliolino pajata tagliolino cacio e pepe coda di vitello alla vaccinara coniglio alla cacciatora verdure miste ripassate (cicoria e verza) puntarelle Todos los platos eran muy sabrosos. El servicio es atento, pero la comunicación entre los camareros y la cocina podría ser mejor: los platos principales llegaron un poco antes de que hubiéramos terminado los primi. Además, el pan se sirve en bolsa y se calienta. Necesitábamos más pan y pedimos "pane fresca", que funcionó bien. Para el vino, tuvimos: Marco Carpineti Capolemole Rosso 2022 1⁄2 litro vino rossa della casa (Cincinnato Argeo Cesanese). Ambos eran muy buenos, aunque preferiríamos que el vino tinto estuviera a una temperatura ambiente "fresca": El vino de la casa se sirve ligeramente frío. Y para aquellos que lean críticas anteriores, obtuvimos copas de vino "reales" para el Capolemole. Normalmente tenemos un expreso para cerrar las cosas pero su máquina no funcionaba. Cuando nos fuimos, el restaurante estaba lleno. Dudo que tuvieran espacio para caminar. Las reservas son esenciales.

12/04/2025: There is an air of home and good things. Clean, welcoming and accessible to everyone. Excellent food and varied choice. But most of all the kindness of the owner, a true Lazio native, an excellent host who cheered us up at the end of the meal with stories from when he was still an eaglet. We will return again, because we always return to where we had a good time. GO LAZIO

26/02/2025: If I could give zero stars, I would without hesitation. I think this place is a pretty heavy insult to Roman cuisine. Indecent food, I think I took a carbonara, I think because the bacon was almost absent, the egg was liquid and watered down, the pasta was obviously overcooked, in an attempt to improve the dish too much cheese and too much pepper was added. The amatriciana, another horror, sauce was practically colored water, and here too the bacon was almost non-existent (literally two measly pieces counted). The second course (the meatballs with sauce) was mediocre, the same thing as the amatriciana sauce, literally water and the meatballs were too soft. Terrible service, embarrassing, not welcoming at all, disinterested and annoyed. The owner evidently wanted to rush us into eating, all that was missing was for them to ask us to leave after the many dirty looks and the horrible food. Really small environment, I didn't like it at all, but perhaps it's the only aspect that can be saved to a small extent (perhaps). In conclusion, a terrible experience, I don't understand how there are 5 star reviews, absolutely not consistent with everything the place "offers". Not to mention the value for money. High prices for dishes that aren't even worth a euro. Indecent. Never go there, not even if it's the last place open to eat in Rome.

24/03/2025: We went for lunch yesterday on my daughter's advice and I would say she was right. Massimo, a very friendly person, welcomes and "pampers" us. Excellent food quality and price. Well done everyone, you are a great team. Michela

29/03/2025: Roman trattoria. Excellent service, the food was a surprise, the meat was very good, even the first courses, and to taste we also took a pizza to share. Classic low Roman pizza, for me the best. Highly recommended
