30/08/2024: This was the worst dining experience we’ve had in Rome. Our food never came out and when we asked the server about it, he was incredibly rude. Another server told us he would check how long we waited for the food and never came back. The original server came back, threw the handheld payment reader on the table and yelled at us that we “need to pay.” We never said we wouldn’t pay but should’ve been offered something more than tiny limoncello shots. The manager/owner said there was nothing she could do. I’ve never been treated this poorly by a server before. Don’t waste your time or money, way better food and service elsewhere.

29/08/2024: One thing first: the main course (pasta) is good and tasty. But what kind of antipasto is this? Almost 12€ for “Burrata”? These were three halved cocktail tomatoes, carelessly placed on the edge of the plate and then a few leaves slapped on from a purchased mixed salad bag. Antipasto underground and really cheeky for this price. Service slightly disinterested, but quick. All in all, the only thing that really scores points is the beautiful ambience. That's where it ends. Not recommended if not worked on.

15/08/2024: Great place! Good service, delicious food, affordable prices. Bread baked on site as a snack is better than our Polish. Way to go!

17/08/2024: We have been here every time we are in Roma. Friend Family owned restaurant. Food is impeccable delicious. I have a wooden plaque that they gave me with their name, the second time I was there. Returning to Roma in September and this definitely one of our stops.

05/08/2024: We came here tonight and was very surprised at the quality and service provided the food was absolutely outstanding, we don’t normally go to the same place more than once, but we are definitely going tomorrow

02/08/2024: Aggressive, incorrect and rude owner. Reservation for 18 people, with agreed menu: Starters: beans all'uccelletto, tomato soup and fried meatballs. First courses: carbonara, cacio e pepe and unlimited wine for 23 euros each, already a little high to start with but we thought justified by the quantities. 3 dishes arrive for each type of starter and when we ask for more the waitress dismisses us with a "trust me guys it's fine so you don't eat the pasta". 3 pasta dishes of each type arrive, for a total of 3-4 portions per dish. We ask for a couple more and they bring them to us. We order 10 desserts. For the entire duration of the dinner we always had to insistently request carafes of wine. In the end the bill arrives and the waitress charges us 33 euros each, excluding wine!!! We ask for clarity, certainly decisively but also politely and the owner rails violently against two of us, in particular the girl being celebrated, insulting her vulgarly and shouting with a highly threatening attitude. Typical attitude of someone who gets caught trying to pluck the chicken on duty. Avoid at all costs. Extremely rude.

11/08/2024: The portion of the food is big. However, the steak was overcooked and tasteless. The pizza was average and pasta were average.

10/08/2024: Honestly, pretty good food and quite affordable, considering the restaurant is right next to the Colosseum. It's not that expensive and the service is fast. I would definitely recommend it.

31/07/2024: The waiter on the night shift at the tables outside (an Italian gentleman) was extremely rude at times, if you speak Spanish or look like a Spaniard be warned. Food was good but I Will not return. Street is noisy.

09/07/2024: Augusto con la sua Osteria 29 é il meglio della cucina romana che ci si può aspettare. In soli tre giorni di permanenza a Roma, siamo tornati ben due volte a mangiare amatriciana, gricia, tonnarelli cacio e pepe e delle squisitissime polpette al sugo. Ambiente accogliente , parcheggio comodo e vino della casa buono. Prezzi giusti e porzioni abbondanti.

21/06/2024: Sono stata a cena con una mia amica. Abbiamo preso l'antipasto dell'oste, una carbonara e un rigatone alla coda alla vaccinara accompagnato da pane e vino rosso della casa. Che dire, super! Tutto buonissimo, cucina romana fantastica. La location è molto carina e ci siamo sentite a casa. Abbiamo speso pochissimo rispetto alle quantità super abbondanti. Niente dolci perché non avevamo più spazio per quanto abbiamo mangiato!
