20/01/2026: A place with a long, multi-generational tradition – quail has been served since the 1950s. Although the name suggests the restaurant specializes in quail, you can also enjoy other delicious, traditional Roman dishes here. We also had a pleasant conversation with a local woman who occasionally assists the owner with serving guests. The restaurant is not located in the city center, and as a result, it has retained its Roman charm.

21/12/2025: We got the tip from a French-Calabrese friend, Roman by adoption, who told us it was her refuge as a penniless young student, where not only was it cheap but, more importantly, they ate quail fit for a king... after thirty years, we can confirm that all this is still true! 21/03/2026: The food was delicious and it was reasonably priced. Staff was incredibly friendly. This place should have a way higher rating.

18/03/2026: This place was bad… we came just for the jewish artichokes and the stuffed zucchini flowers. Food tasted like rancid oil, artichokes were burned and the flowers had too much of the breading mix and really no anchovies.

01/03/2026: We ordered supplì, which arrived cold. We pointed this out to the waiter, who proceeded to replace them. When they arrived again, the rice was hard. Not a great supplì. The pizza wasn't bad, although a little rubbery. Once we'd finished eating, we went to pay. We wanted to do it Roman-style (which meant we'd split the amount equally between everyone). There were five of us, and the cashier rudely told us she didn't have change for us and that we'd have to deal with it ourselves. It's not a problem that she doesn't have change for everyone, but the way she told us didn't seem nice to me. Perhaps she saw that we were young and assumed she might treat us rudely. I absolutely don't recommend it, and avoid it.

09/03/2026: An excellent restaurant in one of the most popular areas of Trastevere. The quality/price ratio is absolutely excellent, for a restaurant that largely reflects Roman specialties. The desserts are truly sublime.

04/03/2026: Lunch break at this place. The waiter rushes to bring drinks and then disappears. I had to get up to order. I order the Agnese appetizer with porchetta, cold cuts, cheeses, and grilled vegetables, according to the menu. There's just a hint of porchetta (see photo), assorted cold cuts, a slice of grilled eggplant, and two mini cheese sticks. This dish costs €12! Never again. The only downside is the location, but there are other places.

03/03/2026: I don't know where the tip came from, but it was a bullseye: the spaghetti with fresh tuna, capers, olives, and a subtle tomato sauce was amazing. And then there was that lovely family. Plus, it was so peaceful. Grazie mille!

07/03/2026: A cozy and welcoming place. The owners are very friendly and approachable, providing pleasant service, and the food is truly top-quality. We tried first courses, second courses, and appetizers, and everything was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

28/02/2026: Good service although no English menus, no wifi and the restaurant itself has really poor mobile date signal. But other than that really nice food !

14/02/2026: If you don't want to be pretentious 🫠 Two couples in Rome for lunch for Valentine's Day, we stopped here, a nice and welcoming place. The food was amazing with the appetizers, but the first courses definitely need to be reviewed. - Artichoke alla giudia and alla romana were VERY GOOD. - The lard bruschetta was served cold... maybe it would have been better warm. But the lard was good. - The cacio e pepe was a butter pasta without pepper... - I think the carbonara was cooked with cream, there was no egg, and we discarded the guanciale because we weren't convinced by the flavor because it was rancid. - Including a hair on the plate... sent back. - The 2006 POGGIO AL LUPO wine, in our opinion, should have been decanted a bit, but instead it was poured so quickly that all four of us had the rest in our glasses. - The wine list needs updating, as do the actual prices (the waitress very kindly warned us that there had been updates, but they hadn't noted them in the (paper) Sorry, but it didn't convince us. We're very argumentative people. See you next time.

12/03/2026: Very good and kind service and very good food. Had the melanzane, saltimboca and pana cota, but i also tasted a little pasta from my friends.

08/03/2026: The experience was simply wonderful. We were extremely well received and very well attended to. Furthermore, we ate croquettes that were divine. My husband ordered carbonara and I ordered amatriciana. Both were incredible. We had already tried these two dishes in other places in Rome and none came close to the flavor of Micci. I am immensely grateful for the hospitality and the delightful evening we had.

10/03/2026: Obviously the best carbonara in town! Also had beef tartar and foie gras they were really tasty. Nice place and delicious food

09/03/2026: We had 6 Oysters on Friday and were feeling worse and worse over the weekend until we have been diagnosed with Norovirus from the oysters that ruined our whole trip and our work week.
