04/06/2025: Good food, a little pricey. The service was good, but the manager or owner was a bit unnerving, as she seemed stressed and visibly challenged the waiters and diners.

02/06/2025: This famous Roman restaurant is located on the slopes of Mount Testaccio, which gave its name to the ancient neighborhood. The various rooms are evocative, created inside what were probably once stables. On the walls you can admire terracotta fragments dating back to the time of ancient Rome. The rooms are furnished simply and tastefully, including the lighting. Sound-absorbing panels are positioned on the ceiling, which allow customers to talk to each other without being disturbed by the sound reverberations. The restaurant also has outdoor areas with a fair number of seats. The menu offers traditional Roman dishes, among which the fettuccine with white lamb ragù, rigatoni with potatoes, coda alla vaccinara, fried boiled meatballs, nervetti stand out. All very good. The homemade pies are delicious. The cellar offers a large number of labels, all of good quality. The waiting staff is kind and professional. The quality-price ratio is balanced.

11/05/2025: The place is very nice, nice atmosphere, good background music, modern decor. They serve revisited dishes from the Italian and in particular Roman tradition, but when the dishes arrived I didn't feel any particular emotion linked to the discovery of new flavours, everything was quite standard. The service is then essential, two pieces of cutlery on a plastic cutlery rest, a napkin, that's it. Bread for a fee, microfiltered tap water for €3. And in fact the sore point is the price: in San Lorenzo, €50 each for starter+first course and a bottle of wine for 4 is truly beyond all logic. In my opinion it's not worth it, for that price you can find much better.

05/05/2025: I chose this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's baptism and I must say that I was really very satisfied with everything. Refined food, present but discreet service. All seasoned with an intimate and family atmosphere. The outdoor garden then allows children to play and have fun outdoors. Super recommended!

26/04/2025: Good food, service with some flaws.. we asked for information on what was in a dish and the lady couldn't tell us anything.. this thing left me a bit perplexed.. otherwise the cake prepared for us was excellent too

19/05/2025: A little hidden gem. We were passing through and found this fantastic restaurant. Hospitality and kindness were the first things I felt as soon as I entered. They were helpful, courteous and friendly in proposing and recommending the dishes. As for the latter, the dishes, in addition to being plated and served with art, are extremely good. I was truly satisfied and happy. I will not hesitate to return if I pass by those parts again.

27/04/2025: Vol verwachting stapten we dit restaurant binnen. Het was er rustig en kregen een mooi plekje toegewezen. De bediening was kortaf en ongeduldig. We bestelden twee keer lamskotelet en de spaghetti met zeevruchten. De ober kwam terug met de mededeling dat er niet genoeg lam was, hij bleef bij tafel staan tot we een andere keuze maakten. Van wat er op tafel kwam was niets lekker: oud brood, lamskoteletjes droog en taai zo op het bord gekwakt. Vreselijk. Een bordje koude aardappelen ernaast en een groot bord rijst met tomatensaus. De spaghetti dan: de grote langoustine erbovenop op durfden we niet te eten. Smaak was wel oke. Meeste mosselen waren leeg. We bestelden een cola, een halve liter wijn en water. Moesten €85 afrekenen. We vertrokken met een sneu gevoel. Nooit zo slecht gegeten in een restaurant en waardeloze bediening.

24/05/2025: Pleasant surprise, my husband and I ate a cuoppo, an excellent fish soup and a gricia with crunchy artichokes, very good wine, water and coffee served with kindness and speed. A more captivating location would certainly not have allowed a bill below expectations!!!!

23/05/2025: One of the best in Italy 🇮🇹 price quality superior to many that are big on Instagram and other social networks, an incredible atmosphere and the food has that good homemade taste, simply incredible, a family restaurant with very good service, the menu has no translation, pure Italian, an unforgettable experience both in the mind and in the mouth

05/05/2025: Am I missing something? This is the only ristorante where I've eaten everything. Caprese salad (prepared wirh root toughness cut out. Mozzarella buffalo not stringy), linguine con carciofi, bistecca with green pepper corns (tender, flavorful). Esselente,!

30/04/2025: La mejor comida de nuestro tiempo aquí en Roma. Teníamos la pasta con trufa negra, espaguetis con salchicha y cerdo con manzana. Todos estábamos muy contentos con nuestra comida. El servicio fue eficiente, el hijo del cocinero dirige el servicio y agrega un gran toque personal. Definitivamente volveré:)

26/04/2025: Sentí que iba a ir a la casa de mi tío italiano para la cena del domingo. Este lugar es increíble. Muy amable y amable propietario y personal. Servicio de primera categoría, y lo más importante la comida era increíble. Un montón de opciones de vino y todo fenomenal en nuestra experiencia también. Te permiten visitar la bodega al final de tu comida, que también es una historia genial. Francissco nos regaló una botella de vino para nuestra luna de miel, así que después de mantenerlo a salvo durante toda una noche de bar saltando me dejé caer inmediatamente al entrar en mi habitación de hotel. Nunca hago reseñas, pero este lugar fue el punto culminante de nuestras experiencias gastronómicas y estoy tan contento de que nos detuvimos en. Si usted tiene la suerte de conseguir una mesa aquí, entonces usted está en un placer.

10/05/2025: A peaceful corner in the greenery just a few minutes from Rome! At the Osteria del Malpasso I had lunch outdoors, under large umbrellas and surrounded by nature: a truly splendid location, ideal for relaxing and enjoying the typical cuisine in a serene atmosphere. I tasted a very tender spicy lamb stew, accompanied by baked potatoes that were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, really well done. To conclude, a homemade sour cherry tart, with an authentic and delicate flavour. Friendly service, traditional Roman dishes and a welcoming environment. I recommend this tavern to those looking for a restaurant with Roman cuisine and outdoor tables surrounded by greenery in southern Rome. I will definitely be back!

09/05/2025: Cold place, little choice, a starter for 20 euros which consists of 3/4 slices of cold cuts and some pickles. Zero fried foods, zero bruschetta. Heavy and overly seasoned second courses with 3 large side potatoes. The icing on the cake: the owner shouting at the waiters, however oblivious to our presence. I don't recommend it.

31/05/2025: An experience to do for those who love the traditional Roman restaurant. Cacio e pepe "only" decent (the mint recommended by the waiter gave it an original touch but it was definitely too much to cover the taste of the cheese), amatriciana normal (maybe a little too much onion!), good arrosticini. It was recommended to us as a restaurant with an amazing quality/price ratio. Long awaited for the dishes.

13/05/2025: Spectacular, the pasta was incredible. You could find cardinals eating there, and it was one of Pope Francis' favorite places. The pasta carbonara was fantastic.

11/05/2025: The pasta and risotto were really excellent! Friendly staff and really great atmosphere! I recommend it to you! 5 minutes from Place St-Pierre! ☺️

15/05/2025: Sunday lunch we managed to find a table for 5 without a reservation (recommended because they don't have many seats) Restaurant with typical Roman dishes with generous portions and fair prices. The grissini (hot fresh pasta) with ham were delicious, the tripe and parmigiana were excellent. Since there were 5 of us we chose all the traditional Roman first courses (gricia, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, carbonara) all prepared with really excellent fresh pasta.
