13/05/2026: Had a great time at Trattoria Der Pallaro. There is no menu so you eat what is served: a delicious array of very fresh, very Italian food. If you're looking for an authentic experience and good food, this is the place to go.

03/05/2026: The best pasta I've ever eaten (we obviously had the Carbonara and Cacio e Pepe). If you want to eat authentic Roman cuisine, I highly recommend it, coming from a Sicilian who knows a thing or two about food. 5 stars+++, and that's not enough.

27/04/2026: I popped in with friends for a chat, and it was perfect! It exceeded my expectations! The location is quiet but very well-maintained, and the food was delicious. I had a delicious and fresh salad as an appetizer, something I hadn't had in years, and then a divine cacio e pepe. Friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere was truly comfortable. Highly recommended!

21/05/2026: We came here having seen some reviews on Reddit and it truly lived up to its hype! We came around opening time, left a name and were told to come back in an hour which was very convenient as you didn’t have to stand in line the entire time. For starters, we had the offal which came highly recommended online. It was served with chicory and a bun however we generally aren’t offal fans and this didn’t change my opinion of it. Next we had the amatriciana and gricio for pasta. Both were excellent and the amatriciana was definitely the best pasta we had in Rome and perhaps in recent memory! It came with a lovely sugo and rigatoni al dente, and lovely crispy flavourful bits of guanciale. The gricia was also very good and was up there with some of the best pastas we had in Rome. We also shared the lamb, which again was very good. The meat was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Overall, I highly recommend this place for some excellent pasta and Roman food.

02/01/2026: A restaurant with a true Roman fraschetta atmosphere. However, behind the excellent service and smiling waiters, we found a carbonara with touches of perhaps raw bacon and an egg "a frittata." The appetizers were nothing special. The uniquely shaped biscuits were charming.

30/12/2025: We were on the veranda, and I felt a bit chilly, despite the gas stove near the table. The seating (wooden benches) was a bit uncomfortable. The place is very rustic, a typical Roman osteria. We had the porchetta sandwich, which was excellent, as were the gnocchi with both ragù and truffle and sausage. I tried the mutton arrosticini, which were very good, as was the berry crumble. If you like the typical atmosphere of the Castelli Romani restaurants and the simplicity, this is a great place.

06/06/2026: My experience was truly awful. The service was terrible, and the food was terrible. We ordered a platter that was listed as a mixed platter on the menu, but it only contained one piece of cheese (I've never seen anything like it) in any restaurant, along with some ham. Then we ordered pizza, and the waiter kept flipping the menu pages and forcing me to choose. He then scolded us for only ordering one pizza, insisting we had to order two dishes. The pizza that arrived was truly terrible. We paid, and we will never return. I do not recommend it!

31/03/2026: A simple and authentic restaurant under the Fiumicino viaduct. Family-run, it serves excellent traditional Roman first courses, delicious second courses and side dishes, and exceptional desserts. It's affordable and the staff are friendly. It's a shame about the noise and the long wait, even with a reservation, even for the food. I didn't like the lack of a detailed bill, just a sort of flat rate, although, not knowing about the option of a first course, second course, and side dish for around €15, we ordered à la carte. I'll be back!

10/06/2026: Super kindness and food! I came to the Achille Lauro concert at the Olympic Stadium and they saved me for a quick bite to eat, and I ate divinely. Highly recommended. Pasta alla gricia is TOP!!!!

Two kilometers from St. Peter's Basilica, the restaurant is well-maintained and frequented by many locals, demonstrating its excellent value. Outdoor seating is available on dry days. I recommend it to all lovers of traditional Roman cuisine.
