02/08/2026: The Tuscan-Emilian appetizer was very good, and the first courses, cavatelli with sausage sauce and fusilli with crusco peppers, were excellent and plentiful. Excellent value for money.

02/08/2026: I've been to this place several times, but tonight's experience was nothing short of exceptional. Exceptional food, super-fresh ingredients, and impeccable service. The staff was attentive and welcoming from the start. In the summer, the outdoor dining is simply fantastic. My sincere compliments, and I hope to return before summer ends.

10/05/2026: An experience not to be repeated... I'd already been to this place a while ago and didn't have a good memory, and I hoped I could change my mind, but that wasn't the case. As soon as we arrived, they informed us that due to the previous evening's service, they had run out of the beef fillet used for a particular dish and therefore it wasn't available. We proceeded to choose and look for an alternative (being keto-friendly), I ordered a "beef tartare" (that's what the menu said) and asked, given the initial recommendation, which of the other five types of fillet on the menu (and in the display) was available... I was told (despite the fact that they were available) that none of the fillets were available because they had all been booked by a single table the day before. A little disappointed, I opted for a tagliata, and when asked what type of cooking I replied "RARE." We were served fairly quickly, and here was the first surprise: the tartare was served on a cracker with a mountain of stracciatella and fried artichokes (obviously, none of this was listed on the menu). To avoid further fuss after the fillet discussion, I tried to separate the tartare from the rest and moved on... after about 40 minutes, the second course was served (during this time, the other diners pointed out to me that having a glass of wine makes no sense in this place, since it's basically just three drops in the glass). Shortly before the second course arrived, I asked for a Fanta for one of the diners and was first told it was only available at room temperature (which wouldn't have been a problem), then told that these were all booked for the table above... obviously, I started to get a little nervous because I almost felt like I was being mocked. When the second course arrived, however, the best surprise of all... the meat I requested was rare and arrived cooked to a level I wouldn't even call medium... and given the price it costs (around €130/kg), I don't expect certain mistakes, especially in a grill restaurant... with a bit of disappointment, at the end of the meal I ask for the bill (in line with the prices on the menu) and as I'm about to pay (it's now past 3pm and the restaurant is emptying out) I notice some of the fillets I had requested still available in the display case... so there are first-class customers and second-class customers... as is obvious, I pay without the slightest problem and leave... I hope this review can be useful to you, for sure I will hardly return because despite the quality products offered, the overall experience was really terrible in my opinion.

16/08/2026: It's one of the best restaurants I've been to on my vacation in Italy. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff are wonderful—very friendly and efficient. We've been there practically every day. 100% recommended.

15/08/2026: Nice staff with good English. Food was a bit bland and the seafood linguine special had just 2 prawns and few mussels lots of tiny clams with lots very chewy octopus. Fish & lemon Ravioli was much better. Cold drinks and desert was ok, tiramisu was a little dry but had plenty of cream. Cheesecake had a top and bottom sponge which meant less cheesecake unfortunately. One drink each main and desert €74. They charged us €4 for 4 slices of bread and charged us for tap cold water. But disappointed as on th Amalfi coast sort of so expecting some fantastic fish & pastas.

09/08/2026: I returned after a while and I have to reconsider the good things I'd experienced on previous occasions. The food has deteriorated, with dishes that are very average, if not below par. The dining room is run by two inexperienced young women. It's unlikely I'll return. 100% not recommended.

10/07/2026: We went to Chalet del Buongustaio and had a truly wonderful time. The dishes were exquisite, with generous portions and top-quality ingredients. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, perfect for relaxing. The value for money was also excellent. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

10/07/2026: I dined at Chalet del Buongustaio for the first time about six months ago and promised myself I'd return because, thanks to the excellent food, the hospitality, and the kindness of the staff, I had spent a wonderful evening with my wife. I returned yesterday and can confirm everything. A splendid place, top-notch food, and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

20/06/2026: This place is a must if you are visiting sorrento or the Amalfi coast. We stayed here for a week and are so glad we stumbled upon it. The owner Gio is a legend and very helpful with any questions or information. The facilities are updated and great. The beaches right at the front are very nice. The train station is a small walk up the hill and takes you straight into Sorrento. We also hired scooters from Sorrento for a few days and rode them over to Amalfi and Positano, they’re also great for just getting into town, if you’re confident on a scooter I’d say it’s a must. Would definitely stay here again.

10/06/2026: Fantastic campsite. Mr. Giovanni is the owner who helps with everything. Clean restrooms, tidy area. There is a small shop inside the campsite with normal prices. I recommend this campsite to everyone.

28/09/2025: Had a great experience. Got the lemon pasta, pizza and dessert. The lemon sponge was great and we got ricotta-stuffed pumpkin flower as a starter on the house as well as limoncello with the bill. Would recommend for dinner if you are staying in Scala, the staff was very kind and attentive.

28/07/2026: A special place where everything is designed to offer tranquility and culinary delights. Many of us came (on a Friday evening in mid-July) to try the famous Controne beans, some of us from Zuppino di Sicignano degli Alburni, others from the provinces of Lucca, Pisa, and Milan. The tasting of these prized beans was excellent, as was the service provided by one of the owners, always smiling and very helpful. The pizza also received many positive reviews. A place to recommend without a doubt. Well done.

15/06/2026: I had lunch at Hostaria BaccoFurore, a wonderful restaurant. The view is fairytale-like, with only sky and sea on the horizon. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious, all made with top-quality ingredients. The local wine, Fiorduva, is delicious and produced only there, another excellent product of this beautiful area, rich in delicacies.

We always felt comfortable asking for assistance when needed, and the team consistently checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Our room was spotless and always well stocked with everything we needed. Housekeeping was excellent, often replenishing essentials before we even had to ask. There is a mini bus you can get from the hotel to Amalfi or you can catch the public bus from just across the road - perfectly located to travel into Amalfi and then further with ease! The restaurant was also fantastic. The food was delicious every evening, and as a vegetarian, I greatly appreciated how accommodating the team was with my dietary requirements. My partner and I enjoyed some truly wonderful meals during our stay. The restaurant staff were exceptional—friendly, professional, and attentive. Communication was excellent, and the service was always quick, warm, and flawless. The balcony was especially memorable, as it was there that my fiancé proposed to me! It made our stay even more special and unforgettable. Overall, this was an incredible experience and the most beautiful place we could have imagined to get engaged.
