04/08/2025: We had a wonderful stay at La Tonnarella for two nights on our way to Positano from Rome. I wish we had stayed longer! The staff was extraordinarily pleasant and helpful - even working out a time for us on the beach. The room had an amazing balcony overlooking the bay of Naples and Mt V. The A/C worked fine and the bathroom was large and adequate for my family of four w/two sinks. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the restaurants and stores in Sorrento.

03/07/2025: My "Simpatica pensionata" party was a success. Enchanting atmosphere, terrace overlooking the sea of ​​Sorrento. Attention to detail, impeccable service. The buffet and restaurant service were of excellent quality, with tasty and well-presented dishes. The food satisfied even the most demanding palates. Professional music and entertainment. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants, like me, to spend an unforgettable evening in company and joy. I went home with a smile, THANK YOU for the beautiful evening! Despite booking well in advance, the owner tried to seat us “indoors”. Only after we firmly insisted were we given a table outside. I Overall, the atmosphere was unremarkable, and while the food was good, the experience didn’t live up to expectations.

And then there is Villa Verde, which drapes itself in reputation like an ill-fitting costume, hoping the sparkle of Capri will mask what lies beneath. Despite securing our reservation through the concierge of a five-star property — a gesture that should carry weight and ensure a degree of care — we were led past the glamour and seated in what can only be described as exile: a corner of the restaurant. My partner faced a trio of wilted flowerpots, while I enjoyed a front-row seat to the mess and clatter of the waiters’ service station. The atmosphere was less la dolce vita and more backstage at a wedding buffet. Service was a rumor. No real welcome, no presence, no rhythm. We poured our own wine, twice, while staff swirled around us as if on autopilot, too understaffed or indifferent to notice. The food? A theatrical exercise in plating — average in taste, but priced as though it had Michelin stars whispering in its ear. And then — the music. What is it with the music? One moment it's pulsing like a beach club at midnight, the next it's hushed to a whisper. The volume swelled and dropped like a DJ unsure of which party he's playing for. If this was an intentional effect, words fail. Villa Verde is not a restaurant. It is a reputation machine, feeding on the illusions of Capri rather than delivering its essence. Overrated, overstretched, and ultimately forgettable — except for the price. Capri deserves far better. So do its guests.

15/07/2025: For the restaurant only: My family and I came here for a sunset dinner, during summer. We sat outside on the doc at the marina and had a lovely view with impeccable service. We ordered the mussels with red sauce, amberjack fish with salad, local red wine, bread and olive oil. Food was well prepared, delicious, and had a lovely presentation. The dining tables were covered in linens and menu had a wide variety of seafood and pasta dishes. The view of the boats and the sunset were the cherry on top. We arrived by taking the elevator down from the top of city (separate from the restaurant / BnB) and walked the marina and beach for a while before coming to this restaurant. I highly recommend!

06/07/2025: Suggested by friends, yesterday I wanted to try. I was disappointed, I chose a tuna tartare, on a bed of apple pieces, spicy sauce and wasabi. Combination of flavors, for my tastes, not the best. The first, I chose paccheri alla ricciola, good sauce but little fish and raw pasta. The proposed menu is fixed and you can't combine anything. The idea of ​​a mixed seafood appetizer is faded, you have to take the portions individually. In general the menu is designed mainly for tourists.

23/04/2025: Personale estremamente maleducato, zero rispetto del cliente. Attività che lavora con odio, invidia e frustrazione. Sconsiglio vivamente questo “locale” (se così si può chiamare) a chiunque abbia un minimo di rispetto per sé stesso. Appena varcata la soglia, più che sentirti cliente ti senti giudicato: occhi che scrutano, sguardi che sezionano, e un brusio costante che si trasforma presto in un teatrino di pettegolezzi da quattro soldi. Il personale? Più interessato a sparlare dei presenti e degli assenti che a servire con professionalità. Non ci tornerò mai più.

The place is small, with no seats, on one side occupied for almost its entire length by the counter-window, beyond which all the creations baked by the laboratory in the back are displayed. And there really is something for everyone. You must try their pastiera, made as tradition dictates and also available in single-portion slices, and above all the sfogliatella: 1.50 euros of pure pleasure. It's places like this that give value and prestige to the Neapolitan gastronomic culture. Well done indeed!

06/08/2025: Estábamos a principios de la temporada y casi los únicos huéspedes. Las vistas, la comida, el Servicio, todo era tremendo. ¡Pide la captura del día! El restaurante solo se puede llegar en barco, pero hay un Servicio de taxi acuático a un precio razonable desde la costa de la ciudad de ischia (por el Castello Aragonés). Los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de tumbonas gratuitas en la playa de arena.

29/07/2025: Raggiungibile anche via terra attraverso una scalinata impegnativa ma vi potete far accompagnare in 5 minuti con una barchetta convenzionata previa prenotazione al ristorante partendo da Ischia ponte. La stessa vi verrà a riprendere anche a tarda sera.il posto è sulla spiaggia di Cartaromana vicino alle fumarole e tra gli scogli di s. Anna molto suggestivo di fronte al castello praticamente nel mare.La cucina non fa meraviglie ma è comunque gradevole i prezzi sono molto ragionevoli per Ischia e per il posto.Ci si torna sempre ma sempre mi chiedo cosa potrebbe essere questo posto con un po’ di investimento sulla struttura e sul sevizio.

25/06/2025: A local Pizzeria about 15 minutes walk from centre of Naples.The pizzas here are absolutely wonderful.Prices are great and with a bottle of white wine at a reasonable price,it is a great place to find.No frills but a special place.
