19/07/2026: The food was excellent with good flavors. The shank was perfect and very large with plenty of sauce. As for the fried seafood, we had requested only shrimp and calamari, but they brought us a very ordinary fried fish. The staff was friendly and even poured us drinks, and they even offered us limoncello (and there were other options). Parking was very easy to find because it's located underneath the restaurant. The location is clean both inside and out, and there are restrooms available. PS: I also liked the fact that the allergens are listed under the dishes on the menu.

18/07/2026: THE BACKGROUND: - Came at 19:30 on a Saturday. It wasn't full, but it had a nice lively crowd. 30 minutes later it was packed! - The outdoor patio seating makes for a great dining experience. - My favorite meal of the trip! THE GOOD: - Service is efficient. The owner is also very friendly and even stopped by our table to chat. - We were treated to frozen limoncello shots on the house, which were incredibly refreshing and delicious. - Very relaxing atmosphere. THE BAD: - Relatively expensive, but that is expected for the area and honestly worth it. - The food took a little longer to come out, but it was well worth the wait. THE ORDER: 1. Spaghettoni alle Vongole Veraci / Spaghettoni Pasta with Clams (€23) ★★★★☆ - Light and delicately flavored. The real star is the pasta itself—perfectly al dente and enjoyable even on its own. 2. Risotto Alla Pescatora / Fisherman's Risotto with Monkfish (€25) ★★★★★ - The best risotto I've ever had. Packed with flavor, and the variety of seafood makes every bite exciting and satisfying. TL;DR: - One of my favorite meals of the trip. The welcoming owner, relaxing patio, complimentary frozen limoncello, and incredible seafood dishes made this an easy recommendation. The food takes a little patience, but the Fisherman's Risotto alone is absolutely worth the wait.

15/06/2026: The welcome was spectacular, the wait staff was always attentive and available to meet every need. The food was expertly cooked, but the MILLEFFOGLE WAS AWESOME. The owners met us at the hospital when our children were born, and it was a wonderful evening, the food was divine... THANK YOU

02/06/2026: This is our second stay at Hotel Mary and we're absolutely thrilled. We're traveling with two children and are thrilled with the child-friendly service, something often lacking in Germany. The absolute highlight, however, is the breakfast manager, "Vincenzo" (I hope I spelled his name correctly). His communication skills are extraordinary and should become standard in all hotels. If he's not around for a day, guests immediately notice. This ability to connect with guests is a true gift. I've never experienced anything like it in any other 4-star hotel around the world. If I could, I'd hire him for our company right away!

01/06/2026: Fabulous location with spectacular views, close to the center. Very beautiful and evocative spa. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.

29/06/2026: Visited last winter. This restaurant has been a Michelin-starred restaurant for years, but more recently the chef has gained considerable recognition thanks to social media and his authentic, local cuisine. The ingredients are top-quality, mostly from their own garden or local producers. The requirement to choose a menu is a bit limiting (but that's a characteristic of many Michelin-starred restaurants). The quality/price ratio is fair. The wine list is adequate, with markups in line with the restaurant's price range. The service is a bit too stiff. Everything is fine, but no wow factor.

30/06/2026: The view is fantastic from the window seats! Mixed opinions on the food from my group, but my pizza (and the other one ordered) was so tough, I couldn't cut it with a knife. Chewy, unpleasant and very little topping. Nothing like the pizza normally found in this area. Others in my group (who had pasta) enjoyed their food though.

05/06/2026: Excellent restaurant, located in a quiet place and there is parking on site. The food is excellent, the dishes are beautiful and delicious. The service is wonderful, the waiters are courteous.

02/06/2026: We waited 50 mins for a pesto linguine, and it’s awful. Basically there is no service, unless you are a big group of people, we waited 15mins for ordering. Not recommended, also food😿

22/11/2025: I went with a colleague for an aperitivo. Pasquale is a wonderful, very friendly person, and he offered us many delicacies, including an excellent selection of wines. Lots of traditional products are available for takeout. If I ever come back to Vico for work, I already know where I'll be stopping. Keep up the good work, guys.

06/11/2025: Love this place, freshly made sandwiches/panini to order to eat in or take away, hot meals to eat in, a really good delicatessen with meats, cheeses and wines, friendly staff to greet you every time that are always so helpful, and they also have a hidden little market at the back which can be really handy for any essentials you may need. Try the roast chicken you won’t be disappointed 5/5.

10/06/2026: Honestly one of the best restaurants I have been to in all my life. It is hidden away, but certainly worth the drive. Rafaella was a very attentive host and extremely helpful and kind to us.

30/05/2026: From the first day we visited Villa Giusso, we realized that it is a place where time has stood still, a time when attention to detail and wholesome hospitality towards guests still represent significant values. Mrs. Giovanna, direct heir to the Giusso family, is the perfect hostess, opening the doors of her home to us and our guests with extreme generosity. The maitre d', Domenico, is highly competent and helpful, always able to advise us and promptly handle even last-minute unexpected events. Our reception was appreciated by all our guests, both for the elegance of the villa and the unquestionable quality of the dishes, expertly cooked and made with excellent ingredients. The magic of Villa Giusso lies in the timeless charm of a place that tells a story in every stone and in the refined and attentive welcome of Mrs. Giovanna, who is a true hostess and not merely the manager of a wedding venue. 24/05/2026: We had an amazing experience staying at the monastery hotel. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and full of history and spirituality. Spending the night there made the experience even more special — the atmosphere is calm, unique, and truly unforgettable. The hotel itself was incredible, very comfortable, and perfectly integrated with the charm of the monastery. Waking up surrounded by such a special setting was a privilege. Definitely a place we would recommend and love to visit again.

22/05/2026: One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Italy!

10/05/2026: Stopped here for some much needed lunch after 5 hours hiking from Bomerano. Delicious snacks to start (the bread for the bruschetta had been toasted on the fire and tasted amazing), great pasta too. One of the best meals I had on my trip.

14/07/2026: A wonderful discovery during our stay in Vico Equense. We've returned several times because every experience was impeccable: excellent cuisine, attentive service, and a truly unique value. We've always felt welcomed with warmth; a special thank you for letting us sit early one day, a gesture greatly appreciated. We honestly don't understand why this restaurant doesn't have an even higher rating: it definitely deserves more. We'll be back with great pleasure!

21/06/2026: They reserved a room without air conditioning for us on June 21st, with a temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. The owner didn't even bother to answer us: when we pointed out that there were elderly people in the room, he turned his head away. Very, very, very RUDE. I WILL NEVER COME BACK.
