08/01/2026: I went to L'Oste d'Arberia a few days ago for lunch with friends. Calling it a restaurant is an understatement: the attention the entire staff showed us, from the welcome to the tour of the entire establishment, was something that went beyond the food. The menu follows seasonality, and each dish, conceived and presented with passion, expresses the local area in which this establishment is immersed. It goes without saying, of course, that everything was excellent. I will absolutely return.

25/03/2026: We booked for my father-in-law's birthday. Let's not forget the food, which was excellent—many courses, quality dishes, and beautifully cooked. 22/01/2026: Our visit to Osteria San Francesco on June 8th, 2025, was a wonderful experience. Francesco welcomed us warmly and offered us seats on the terrace. I had the impression he was a little surprised that we wanted to eat there with 10 people. He immediately called his brother Massimo, who prepared the kitchen. Several other helpers also arrived to assist Massimo with the cooking. The Osteria is somewhat hidden away on a small, steeply rising road. The dining rooms aren't very large, but there's also a grotto, a room carved directly into the mountainside. Francesco and Massimo are very friendly and they made our evening truly enjoyable. The food, prepared by Massimo, was excellent. It's safe to say that the Osteria team knows how to cook. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely return.

Absolute excellence: extremely clean, quiet, excellent scenery, very kind staff and a divine breakfast with products all homemade by the owners, from the pandolce with candied fruit, to the croissants, to the tarts, to the honey, walnuts, garlic, all cooked to perfection!

03/03/2026: If you're looking for a family-friendly accommodation, you've come to the right place! Roberto, a fantastic person, made us feel at home! The breakfast was 5-star, with sweet and savory items prepared fresh every morning by his partner. The property is centrally located, nestled in the Pollino National Park, a 5-minute walk from the center of Laino, a very beautiful village that I recommend visiting, and a 15-20 minute drive from other villages. We'll see you again in the spring!

22/02/2026: In the mountains near San Donato di Ninea, there's a mountain hut, Baita Malieni, family-run first by Luigi (the father) and now (with his father, but not necessarily) by his son Giuseppe. Both are exceptional, welcoming guests with the same warmth that's found inside the hut: finally, a truly heated restaurant/pizzeria. We ate delicious dishes: from appetizers to first courses, meat-based main courses, pizza, and desserts. There was nothing that wasn't a delight. Everything was divine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Everything has always been delicious, refined yet impeccable, and made with top-quality ingredients. The place offers a chance to indulge in a slower pace of life and enjoy a conversation with pleasant background music. The staff is attentive and friendly. I understand that it's the only place in town offering such a high-quality, unique breakfast/brunch experience, but the prices are absolutely justified by the quality of the service. 23/02/2026: Stunning venue. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or aperitifs. I've been several times and had the pleasure of trying the avocado toast special, as well as the afternoon tea. A positive and refined experience. Friendly staff, especially the curly-haired brunette, always ready to entertain. The selection of flowers was excellent. I received a beautiful bouquet, prepared together on the same day. Original and unique flowers. The venue design is 10/10.

23/01/2026: An honest trattoria in the Altomonte area. If they raised the quality of the macaroni, it could be a really great meeting place. The table service menu would be nice. It's a shame about the paper tablecloths.

14/04/2026: Both owners (a married couple) possess great craftsmanship and experience and do their work with a great love for good food. He cooks and ensures you get fantastic food, while she serves you in a very warm and hospitable manner. Two reasons to return immediately. Moreover, the price-quality ratio is top-notch. This gem of Calabria is therefore highly recommended without a doubt!

17/03/2026: On our drive back to Naples we found La Taverna Deglu Ammirati. Hands down the best meal of our adventure. We tried 2 very unique pasta dishes - spaghetti al fucco di bacco and a dish with nduja and apples. Finally ended with a fantastic desert of the day. And the best part ? They are open all day! Don't miss it!!

The spaghetti with cod and cruschi was incredibly delicious, and the lagana and chickpeas were excellent! The giancia melted in your mouth, and the homemade desserts were top-notch. It's always a pleasure to return. Highly recommended!

We loved the pasta with broccoli, which was superb, and the appetizer and cod also delighted our palates. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended!
