08/05/2026: Beautifully restored restaurant but quiet atmosphere in early May. Great views, wonderful side garden, good service, reasonably priced local wines. Personal view so dont let it put you off, as this is an attempt at innovative fine dining - chef-ified and de-rusticated. Calabria...but food didn't really do it for us. Pasta itself good... but soggy ravioli (split or intentional? unsure) and powdered mint spinkled artichoke pasta creation mainly lemon flavoured. Both veal and lamb rib chops seemed slow cooked...odd choice for these cuts rendering a grey meat albeit with intense sauces to restore. Prefer de-chef-ified re-rusticated Calabria.

25/04/2026: Typical Civita cuisine revisited in the style of Chef Gregorio Buccolieri, a welcoming atmosphere, a beautiful garden area with outdoor dining options, and friendly and professional staff. Excellent service and a good wine list, the cuisine is delicate and tasty. The meatballs with creamed carrots are delicious. Homemade leavened and baked goods are also available. The menu changes with the seasons and the carefully selected ingredients. Good value, reservations recommended.

13/04/2026: A fantastic hotel in a prime location for outdoor sports activities. The owner is exceptionally helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and featured regional products. The short distance to the highway (5 minutes) also makes arrival very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel!

31/05/2026: Before reaching the village, there's a sign indicating the alternative route to the Baita, which then leads to the Grotta di Sant'Angelo. It's best to take this route, as the other one is closed due to construction. A welcoming place, well-run by young, enthusiastic people who deserve a 5-star rating.

11/05/2026: Michelin start worthy! Outstanding service! Waitress explained everything, even with our poor Italian we could understand what are the dishes and once we received the order we were amazed how good everything was! We even got asked about food allergies and dishes adjusted to our needs. I didn’t expect to get anything gluten-free food in a “non gluten-free” specialised restaurant but I even got crackers instead of bread. Extremely nice! We don’t drink wine but this place is probably amazing for wine lovers.

29/04/2026: We followed the reviews, and we weren't wrong. We had lunch (and I must say we arrived quite early) and were greeted warmly. The restaurant's "method" was explained to us, and we were pleasantly impressed. The menu was laid out differently than usual, yet clearly and appealingly, making it easy to understand and share the choices. The portions were small (and priced accordingly) to give you the opportunity to try multiple dishes. Finally, a place where they ask if you have any allergies and what stage you'd like it to be cooked. Simple questions that make you feel pampered. We loved all the dishes we tried (the white focaccia, the meatballs in tomato sauce, the artichokes, the pasta). There's no point in listing them; it's better to go and try them. Even though we're not local, we'll be back with friends to try new recipes. So, see you next time.

15/04/2026: I entered this brunch spot with legitimate expectations, quickly dashed by service that would be an understatement to call sloppy. Upon arrival, I was asked to stand for ten to fifteen minutes before being shown to my table, despite the restaurant being visibly half-empty: a wait that was neither justified nor courteous. Once seated, a second wait ensued: another fifteen minutes just to receive the menu, as if the act of consulting it itself were a privilege to be earned. From then on, the ordering and the dishes arrived in relatively normal times, but by then we were beyond irritated and impatient. The food, unfortunately, offers no redemption. Unremarkable dishes, lacking personality and memory, portions that were small to the point of being symbolic, and prices that were frankly exorbitant for what was on offer. It's a place that invests heavily in aesthetics—decor designed to catch the eye and enhance the scene—but neglects what should be central: the quality of the cuisine and customer service. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to others either. Edit to the review after the restaurant's response: I'd like to clarify one point, as the response I received distorts what I wrote. The approximately thirty minutes cited were not part of a "slow and mindful" dining experience, but were spent solely on being seated and receiving the menu, in a place that was anything but crowded. Claiming these times as consistent with a "philosophy" seems inappropriate, to say the least: slowness, if chosen, is a value; if endured, it's simply inefficiency. I expect to be served in a respectable amount of time, after which I—not the restaurant—am free to decide whether to take a break, converse, or extend my stay. What made the wait even more unpleasant was the fact that, during that entire wait, no one bothered to ask if we'd like anything to drink, even just a glass of water. This isn't "taking your time," but a lack of customer service. I therefore reiterate my assessment: not a criticism of the calm, but of a service that attempts to gloss over its own shortcomings with a narrative that doesn't reflect the actual experience. Further update: I see the response has been edited, shifting the focus to my "tastes" based on other reviews. This is a minor observation: my assessment concerns specific events that occurred at your establishment, which I've described in detail. Blanking unjustified wait times and lack of customer service down to personal taste is a rather convenient way to avoid addressing the critical issues highlighted.

15/02/2026: I've been to Vintage and was truly impressed! The place is very quaint, with attention to detail and a welcoming atmosphere that evokes a warm, original, and vintage style. The sandwiches are the real highlight: fresh ingredients, tasty combinations, and generous portions. You can taste the quality in every bite! The value for money is also excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful. I absolutely recommend Vintage to anyone looking for a casual yet distinctive place, perfect for an evening with friends. I'll definitely be back!

20/05/2026: We went for dinner twice and the owner treated us very well. We wanted a light dinner both times and he didn't hesitate to help us put together our meal. You have to try the fennel (finocchio) salad with orange—it's delicious, with a surprisingly good flavor! A very pleasant place, and the friendliness of the owner and staff is outstanding. I definitely recommend it!

10/05/2026: A truly positive experience. We stopped here with friends after discovering this place, intrigued by the positive reviews. A wonderful surprise! The place has tables right in the center of Corso Mazzini. We tried various types of focaccia, including some made with local ingredients and the baked potatoes with caciocavallo cheese and chili pepper. Everything was delicious. The location was ideal, and the staff were incredibly friendly, especially Mr. Massimiliano! Highly recommended! ☝️

10/05/2026: A very nice girl spoke English quite well, told us everything and greeted us warmly. We had an appetizer, which is authentic Calabrian appetizers, as well as a salad and a main course of pork. Everything was delicious and filling, and the atmosphere was absolutely quiet and homey. The food was prepared quickly. I recommend visiting if you're looking for authentic Calabria.
