25/03/2026: We booked for my father-in-law's birthday. Let's not forget the food, which was excellent—many courses, quality dishes, and beautifully cooked. What I liked most was the owner's hospitality, which was incredibly kind and friendly. It felt like family. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended. 👍🏻

22/01/2026: Our visit to Osteria San Francesco on June 8th, 2025, was a wonderful experience. Francesco welcomed us warmly and offered us seats on the terrace. I had the impression he was a little surprised that we wanted to eat there with 10 people. He immediately called his brother Massimo, who prepared the kitchen. Several other helpers also arrived to assist Massimo with the cooking. The Osteria is somewhat hidden away on a small, steeply rising road. The dining rooms aren't very large, but there's also a grotto, a room carved directly into the mountainside. Francesco and Massimo are very friendly and they made our evening truly enjoyable. The food, prepared by Massimo, was excellent. It's safe to say that the Osteria team knows how to cook. If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely return.

13/04/2026: A fantastic hotel in a prime location for outdoor sports activities. The owner is exceptionally helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, plentiful, and featured regional products. The short distance to the highway (5 minutes) also makes arrival very convenient. I highly recommend this hotel!

22/02/2026: In the mountains near San Donato di Ninea, there's a mountain hut, Baita Malieni, family-run first by Luigi (the father) and now (with his father, but not necessarily) by his son Giuseppe. Both are exceptional, welcoming guests with the same warmth that's found inside the hut: finally, a truly heated restaurant/pizzeria. We ate delicious dishes: from appetizers to first courses, meat-based main courses, pizza, and desserts. There was nothing that wasn't a delight. Everything was divine. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Everything has always been delicious, refined yet impeccable, and made with top-quality ingredients. The place offers a chance to indulge in a slower pace of life and enjoy a conversation with pleasant background music. The staff is attentive and friendly. I understand that it's the only place in town offering such a high-quality, unique breakfast/brunch experience, but the prices are absolutely justified by the quality of the service. 23/02/2026: Stunning venue. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or aperitifs. I've been several times and had the pleasure of trying the avocado toast special, as well as the afternoon tea. A positive and refined experience. Friendly staff, especially the curly-haired brunette, always ready to entertain. The selection of flowers was excellent. I received a beautiful bouquet, prepared together on the same day. Original and unique flowers. The venue design is 10/10.

23/01/2026: An honest trattoria in the Altomonte area. If they raised the quality of the macaroni, it could be a really great meeting place. The table service menu would be nice. It's a shame about the paper tablecloths.

14/04/2026: Both owners (a married couple) possess great craftsmanship and experience and do their work with a great love for good food. He cooks and ensures you get fantastic food, while she serves you in a very warm and hospitable manner. Two reasons to return immediately. Moreover, the price-quality ratio is top-notch. This gem of Calabria is therefore highly recommended without a doubt!

17/03/2026: On our drive back to Naples we found La Taverna Deglu Ammirati. Hands down the best meal of our adventure. We tried 2 very unique pasta dishes - spaghetti al fucco di bacco and a dish with nduja and apples. Finally ended with a fantastic desert of the day. And the best part ? They are open all day! Don't miss it!!

09/04/2026: Excellent restaurant in Altomonte I had the pleasure of visiting this place for the first time this evening on a special occasion, the birthday of a dear friend of mine. I sampled some of the delicacies they offer their customers, including an excellent, well-assorted appetizer and some delicious pizzas. I will definitely be back, curious to try their first and second courses. Highly recommended. See you next time...

We began with a delicious first course of pork, including pancetta, sausage, and capicollo, before moving on to an amazing slice of beef. A much-appreciated touch was the hot griddle brought to the table, allowing those who wish to finish cooking the meat to their liking. The whole thing was washed down with an excellent house wine, perfect for enhancing the authenticity of the dishes. A must-try for those seeking true grilled specialties served with love.
