10/06/2026: Very kind and friendly staff, delicious pizzas

08/06/2026: The pizzas, one Norwegian and one Italian, were delicious: soft, thin crust, and a delicious topping. For dessert, we chose a babbà covered in lemon cream and red berries, and it was truly delicious!

08/05/2026: Beautifully restored restaurant but quiet atmosphere in early May. Great views, wonderful side garden, good service, reasonably priced local wines. Personal view so dont let it put you off, as this is an attempt at innovative fine dining - chef-ified and de-rusticated. Calabria...but food didn't really do it for us. Pasta itself good... but soggy ravioli (split or intentional? unsure) and powdered mint spinkled artichoke pasta creation mainly lemon flavoured. Both veal and lamb rib chops seemed slow cooked...odd choice for these cuts rendering a grey meat albeit with intense sauces to restore. Prefer de-chef-ified re-rusticated Calabria.

25/04/2026: Typical Civita cuisine revisited in the style of Chef Gregorio Buccolieri, a welcoming atmosphere, a beautiful garden area with outdoor dining options, and friendly and professional staff. Excellent service and a good wine list, the cuisine is delicate and tasty. The meatballs with creamed carrots are delicious. Homemade leavened and baked goods are also available. The menu changes with the seasons and the carefully selected ingredients. Good value, reservations recommended.

And the granita is amazing, just as good as the Sicilian kind. Plus, the prices are very competitive. We don't have any photos; we didn't even have time to take any 🤤

27/06/2026: The restaurant is located on the first floor of a commercial building. The staff is very friendly and stopped by several times to check on everything. The pizza is good, and there's a decent selection of beers.

27/07/2026: The cost of a front-row umbrella in July is €20, a full €4 more than other beaches. It's completely unjustified, given the lack of proper catering, a well-stocked bar, or a covered terrace with real shade. There's nothing here except the inflatables for children that you open in the evening on the seafront. MAYBE BECAUSE THERE'S BUSINESS THERE AT €6 PER HALF AN HOUR? However, I see some touchiness among the owners. Does NEGATIVE publicity hurt?!

15/07/2026: My wife and I went there from Praia a Mare in early July 2026. It's a trattoria nestled in the greenery of the San Nicola Arcella hill. A welcoming space and atmosphere. Friendly service. The food is authentic, respecting Calabrian tradition. We ate an antipasto (a typical platter), ravioli alla Sannicolese, and a mixed grill, all accompanied by a good house wine. Everything was delicious. The place was quiet and relaxing, and a light sea breeze brightened the dinner and the conversation. The owner, who welcomed us and said goodbye at the end, was very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended.

01/06/2026: Everything here was delicious. We went a total of three times. 🙂 The young waiter always knew when to show up; he was incredibly friendly. We also got some great treats, olive oil, bread, and some liqueurs and sweet snacks for our departure. My favorite spaghetti with seafood was always delicious. I'll always remember this place with nostalgia and hope to return someday.

23/06/2026: I was a little skeptical before arriving because I'm not a big fan of trattoria food, but I have to admit I changed my mind. The staff were truly kind and helpful, despite the busy Sunday crowd, and everything we ordered arrived within minutes, from appetizers to first courses. The flavors were truly distinctive and strong, perfectly reminiscent of authentic Calabrian cuisine. Locally sourced ingredients were evident, their freshness and authenticity evident. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the restrooms were spotless. We ate a lot and paid a fair price. I was very satisfied, and will definitely be back. I recommend booking, especially if you're planning on lunch or on the weekend. I recommend it to tourists who truly want to try traditional dishes. The only drawback is that you have to drive there, so if you don't have one, you can take a bus (during the week) or a taxi, which, however, I don't recommend due to the excessive prices.

02/06/2026: It's a restaurant where you can enjoy excellent, authentic, and tasty food. Typical Calabrian dishes are enhanced by mastery and culinary tradition. Excellent.

24/06/2026: Everything was excellent, excellent carbonara and very generous portions, perfect service, kindness and courtesy

16/06/2026: Second visit to the restaurant. Just like the first time, I returned home full and satisfied. The atmosphere feels like home, and the menu ranges from the simple dish reminiscent of lunch at my grandparents' house to the more unique and sophisticated dishes that evoke new experiences. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and above all attentive. I would recommend it to everyone, and I want to extend my compliments once again to the staff and owners.

10/08/2026: I thought eating excellent vegan food in a traditional trattoria without warning was a dream, but I was completely proven wrong by Calabria Bella. This trattoria doesn't offer a 500-dish tourist menu, but rather a few excellent quality choices. Among the first courses, there was an incredibly good vegan option, and for the appetizer, the owner made me a delicious mix of vegetables, olives, and crispedde. Both dishes were generously portioned. I absolutely recommend it for the quality of the food, the portions, and the kindness and helpfulness of the owner.

11/07/2026: A truly memorable experience During our stay in San Marco Argentano, we dined several times at Le Baccanti and the experience was always exceptional. The food is magnificent, prepared with enormous quality and attention to detail. The service was always very attentive, friendly and welcoming, making us feel genuinely welcome. A special mention to the owner, whose wine suggestions were simply superb and perfectly complemented the chosen dishes. It was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip. A restaurant we highly recommend and to which we will be delighted to return.

31/03/2026: I decided to celebrate my 50th birthday. They paid attention to every detail from the decorations to the menu and met everyone's needs. The food was excellent. The appetizers were innovative and new. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a clean, beautiful, friendly environment with excellent food and service, a tremendous wine list and the feeling of being at home. The prices are extremely reasonable and worth every single cent.
