You can perceive the quality of the raw materials, the professionalism of Miriana at the cash register and the experience of Enzo who knows how to communicate with his oven. 22/05/2025: My wife and I found this little gem of a restaurant on our one night stay in Milan, and this place made the stay even more special for us. From the time we entered without a reservation, they aimed to make sure we had a great experience. Our meals were fantastic and the service was just as good. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to Milan, we will surely make this place a priority to return to.

01/05/2025: This was the absolute best way to end our time in Milan. They were very accommodating to some special needs that we had, chose a fabulous wine for us and were gracious in every way possible. The food was amazing too. This came recommended to me and I highly recommend it to anyone.

25/04/2025: Ho scelto il menù degustazione da sette portate, La Spudorata, e l’ho abbinato al percorso di vini suggerito. Ogni piatto è arrivato con tempismo perfetto, ben raccontato e ancora meglio eseguito. La cucina dello chef Annunziata è tecnica ma mai fredda: c’è gusto, personalità e una mano sicura che non cerca mai di stupire per forza. Il piatto che mi è rimasto nel cuore è stato il risotto al limone con gambero rosso – profumato, elegante, con una freschezza che non mi aspettavo. Anche il piccione, spesso difficile da rendere interessante, è stato una vera scoperta: cottura impeccabile e abbinamenti saporiti ma equilibrati. Il servizio è stato all’altezza dell’ambiente. Il personale è professionale, molto attento, ma non freddo come temevo: mi sono sentita accolta con discrezione e rispetto. Una menzione speciale va al sommelier, che è riuscito a trasmettere passione senza mai risultare invadente. Ogni vino è stato spiegato con cura, e gli abbinamenti erano davvero azzeccati. La serata è filata via con armonia, tra piatti ben calibrati, silenzi piacevoli e qualche parola sussurrata tra un boccone e l’altro. È un luogo che invita a rallentare, a godersi il tempo, i sapori, i dettagli. Se cercate un’esperienza gastronomica raffinata, senza eccessi, ma con tanta sostanza, I Portici è una scelta eccellente. Io ci tornerei domani.

12/04/2025: What a taste bombs! Everything was perfect. Very friendly and smooth service, everything was put on the table synchronously regardless of the number of people. We had chosen the matching wines and it is really recommended.

06/06/2025: Due sere fa sono andato con la mia famiglia in questo ristorante, era da tempo che volevo fare, ma l’ultimo anno non è stato un periodo tranquillo ed ho sempre rimandato. Tutte le persone che ho conosciuto da quando ho casa a Sarzana mi indicavano Ottone I come il miglior ristorante del posto. Io non sono un cliente che fa sconti ai ristoratori, una cosa mi da particolarmente fastidio, della buona materia prima cucinata male. Da Ottone, questo non è successo, Letizia e Remo hanno un’estrema cura nella scelta degli ingredienti e nei loro piatti fanno risaltare la qualità. Per antipasto mi è stata servita una tagliata di tonno, con cipolle e una generosa spolverata di tartufo, a seguire ho ordinato crostacei su una julienne di verdure, mia moglie ha scelto il bianco di baccalà con cipolle ramate, a finire due dessert, ho apprezzato molto il babà con crema e fragole, non troppo inzuppato di rum, che avrebbe coperto i sapori. Non ho mancato di spiare nei piatti del tavolo vicino, che hanno optato per una spaghetto ai crostacei, non contaminato, come spesso capita, dal pomodoro per lasciare intatto il sapore del sughetto del pesce. In definitiva, soddisfatto dalla cucina e dai gestori.

28/05/2025: Food in restaurant was not good enough. The view and the place is beautiful, but portions were small and not that tasty. We took fish and octopus and it was a disappointment. Food costed around 100€ but the portions were small and didn’t worth the price. We expected more but unfortunately it didn’t fit the expectations. If you want to have a good diner you better think about some other place to go.

02/06/2025: It would be impossible to over-praise Caruso's. The venue itself, the food, and the service were all magnificent. Kudos go especially to server Salvatore, who worked carefully and patiently to avoid my wife's lactose allergy by modifying each fish as necessary. Absolutely magnificent on all counts. .

24/05/2025: My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at Caruso roof garden during our trip to Napoli. Giovanni, Andrea and Pasquale provided great service to us. The food was delicious! They were accommodating for my wife's allergies as well. The view was beautiful. Overall, we had a great experience.

10/06/2025: Dinner with the family, two pizzas and a lake fried fish, a tiramisu and a crema catalana. A charming place on the shore of Lake Maggiore. A special note to the girl in the dining room who found us a table, even though we had arrived an hour earlier than our reservation. Very kind.

04/01/2025: My husband and I only stop here when we are at the lake. Luxurious rooms, you feel like a queen here, top class service, very tasty and elegant breakfasts and super spa. This is one of the best hotels, in my opinion its price should be much higher.
