Bello il locale, comode le sedie e ampi i tavoli tondi. Un'arma a doppio taglio la presenza dell'area cucina e forno ♨️ a vista che rende l'ambiente piacevole d'inverno, caldo d'estate. Bene il servizio, prezzi abbastanza in linea con i tempi; difficile ormai uscire con meno di 30€ anche da una pizzeria (bruschette divise, pizza, birra 🍺 e dolce).

07/09/2025: Characteristic little place in name and in fact. I was finally able to eat polenta which, despite being in the mountains in these parts, is quite rare. Typical products. Homemade cuisine and a family atmosphere.

25/08/2025: Excessively priced. Really meager grilled food with a piece of cheese (which isn't grilled), 1 sausage, 1 small piece of loin, and 1 very thin and fatty lamb chop...nothing special. I wouldn't go back, especially at that price...

Per non inceppare in una discussione, non ci siamo messe a vedere il menu con i prezzi e lo scontrino che era lievitato su ogni voce, avendo notato anche l’atteggiamento poco umile della signora. Penso questo sia sufficiente per recensire un ristorante, il resto passa in secondo piano. Non ci tornerei. Peccato, il servizio della ragazza è stato impeccabile e gentile.

29/08/2025: We booked this quaint restaurant during our stay in Rovere. The atmosphere is quaint and typical of the mountain. The building, like the furnishings, is entirely made of wood, and the staff is very welcoming. Prices are average, and the food is adequate, but not more.

13/08/2025: Dinner for 12. We started badly with the really, really bad mixed fried appetizer: declared frozen, but it was on par with those from the freezer section of the supermarket. The pizzas, if possible, were even worse: raw, wet, and—mine—with horrible potatoes on top, which were neither baked nor fried, but very COLD. One of the worst pizzas I've ever eaten. It's a shame because I had a very different memory of this place, which has certainly changed something in the kitchen and service recently. Never again.

27/07/2025: Esperienza terribile. Siamo stati in questo ristorante su consiglio di amici. Cucina turistica e trattamento becero. Quando è arrivata la carne, nell'immediato il tagliere si è riempito di mosche. La carne era dura, di pessima qualità e bruciata. Da evitare.

24/08/2025: I was there just yesterday, August 23, 2025, at 3:31 PM. A small, simple cherry cone and an ice cream biscuit, not fresh but packaged, for €7. I could have avoided them, but it was a request from my elderly mother. Overpriced. The Giolitti ice cream shop in Rome is much less expensive.

Being Abruzzese myself, I was curious to taste their cuisine: every town and province has its own twist, and often the "taste of home" is a very personal experience. I was pleasantly surprised. The cod pasta wasn't familiar because it was enriched with nettles and pink peppercorns, and the slow-cooked mutton was prepared differently than I'd ever tasted, yet its deliciousness was undeniable. It was as if I had returned home, but with the sensation of traveling to another gastronomic dimension, where the same recipes came to life with a new and unexpected twist. This place reminded me that cuisine is a living language, changing and evolving depending on who speaks it, while still maintaining its roots. If you're looking for authentic flavors, but also want to be surprised, Antica Osteria ZAhrtmann is a must-visit. Not only do you eat well here, but you'll have an experience that makes you feel at home, even when you're not at home.
