I've been going to this restaurant for years and have always found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and above all, excellent, high-quality dishes. Hygiene is impeccable, and that's obviously very important. In short, I've never had a single complaint.

Beautiful, welcoming, and tidy venue with air conditioning and the perfect temperature. The staff is extremely kind and professional, and they pay attention to every table. Superb food. The fish-based appetizer is delicious, and the risotto with cream of exchange is excellent. Chilled wine at the perfect temperature. The atmosphere is full, demonstrating that it's a pleasant, uncluttered place. Everything is perfect.

Castellafiume, a mountain village nestled in the Liri River valley, whose source is very close by. You stop at the BELLAVISTA restaurant and, since it's Abruzzo, you think, "We'll have a delicious grilled lamb and pasta dishes with meat sauce." Nothing could be more wrong, even though the meat dishes here are fabulous. I recommend focusing on seafood for lunch or dinner. I've tried seafood appetizers, spaghetti with clams, risotto with cream of scampi, seafood gnocchi, mixed fried fish, chickpeas and baby cuttlefish, and so much more; everything tastes like a Michelin-starred restaurant, so much so that you're tempted to look outside to see if you're truly enjoying seafood delicacies at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level. The prices are very fair and obviously vary depending on the dish you choose. I'd like to point out that you can also enjoy incredibly excellent grilled fish. Before I leave, I'd like to express my appreciation for the friendliness of the staff, including Mrs. Silvana and Mr. Corrado, whom we can easily include among the elite list of Michelin-starred chefs. He is a highly professional man endowed with incredible humility.

I'd like to start by saying that I've been to this restaurant several times with my family and have always had a great experience, so I'm sorry to have to write this review. Unfortunately, this time, it didn't go so well. There were two of us, for lunch on a Sunday. We ordered two complete mixed appetizers: spaghetti with clams, mixed grilled fish, and a Gewürztraminer. I understand that the place was busy and there was a wait, but they brought the spaghetti and the grilled meat first, even before the appetizers. We therefore asked for the main courses to be taken back, because we rightly wanted to start with the appetizers. After another long wait, the appetizers arrived, but they were incomplete: the gratin was missing, and we were told it was out of stock. This, however, left us perplexed, given that other tables were served gratin mussels. The wine we ordered wasn't the one we asked for either: instead of the Gewürztraminer, we were served a Trebbiano. I jokingly pointed this out, saying, "Today is just not my day!" In the end, we paid the full bill and were not given any discount, even though the appetizer was incomplete. I understand that the staff can be under pressure when the restaurant is busy, but in these cases, it would be important to ensure more organized service and pay more attention to orders. I hope this was just an isolated incident and that next time I can experience the same positive experience I've always had in the past.

I ate the fish, the appetizers were pre-prepared, and the main courses (sea bass) were good and well-cooked. Overall, it was good. I expected something more.
