13/06/2025: A very nice stop on the road to Cinque Terre. A bit far off the highway, and up a long series if switchbacks, but that is generally what I look for. The gentleman running the place is super nice and supportive. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Breakfast was also basic but reasonable. Coffee was, well this is Italy so of course the coffee was good.

14/06/2025: Sono stato ieri sera a cena in questo ristorante molto bello e arredato con molto gusto.All’entrata ci ha accolto un ragazzo molto bravo e ci ha fatti accomodare in terrazza.Mentre sceglievamo le portate la proprietaria una donna molto simpatica e gentile ci ha consigliato.I piatti erano FANTASTICI!!! Finalmente ho potuto mangiare la Fonduta alla Valdostana che era sublime!! Io lo consiglio a pieni voti sia per la cucina ma anche per la gentilezza e dolcezza dello staff! Ci tornerò di sicuro ogni volta che vengo in valle! Complimenti a tutte/i !!!

01/06/2025: Very simple and rustic place with classic wooden interior, bar-trattoria dehor and pergola with tables, visited for lunch on Sunday has a good trattoria menu, good and characteristic things, courteous and sufficiently fast service. I have not tasted the pizza but judging by the tasty and well-prepared appetizers, first and second courses I have no doubt that I will also find a good pizza. Definitely worth a try if you like places with traditional dishes at a good price and in a family atmosphere. Over the years I have returned several times and I can only confirm the more than good opinion of a welcoming, characteristic, friendly place, where you eat well and pay the right amount. Well done

02/06/2025: Great restaurant, very kind owner, maybe just a little short the menu but I think it is due to the fact that everything is prepared at the moment. Prices not exactly popular but in line with other places in the area.

25/04/2025: Some time ago, my family and I came to eat in this small restaurant, which we had seen on the Borghese show. Disappointment, that the owner seen on TV was no longer there, now we don't know if the gentleman we found is still there, let's hope not!!! RUDE, unwelcoming. Advice...CHANGE JOB!!! To one of my requests, he responded so rudely that we later regretted not leaving immediately Bad food, annoying, inexperienced service, unpleasant and listless waiter. Worse than that!!! Money wasted, leaving with disappointment and a bitter taste in the mouth, because we hoped to make up for it with dessert. Two desserts, one of which they only had 2 more, so we couldn't take it all Tasted it... SUCKS!!! One star is already too much. Let's hope there are new owners. If so, we will definitely return, since it is located in beautiful Cogne

05/03/2025: Se entri in un ristorante e vedi la foto del Principe Alberto di Monaco, noto "gourmand" della cucina made in Italia, direi una garanzia, è così è stato. Proprietari gentili e disponibili, "cambi" di piatti in corsa, non è da tutti, ma i veri "ristoratori" li riconosci immediatamente. Dall'antipasto al dolce tutto eccellente, carni squisite e taglieri di apertura cena ottimi! Così per il dolce finale. Tutto innaffiato da un buon vino rosso.

12/03/2025: Good morning, In confirming the overall quality of the hotel, I wanted to share a very unpleasant experience I had with Mr. Christian, owner and manager of the Tivet Hotel. I'd like to point out that I've been a guest there for many years. I booked a week from March 9th to 15th, 2025, but was unable to stay for health reasons, having given them six days' notice. After making arrangements over the phone and by email, I was told that if they sold my room, they would refund my deposit, even though I'd only asked to move the week to a late-season period (last week of March or first week of April). However, they asked for a new deposit. As my departure approached, I asked for confirmation of the room's sale and was told it hadn't been sold, even though their website showed all double rooms like the one I booked had been sold. To confirm, I had my partner call and she confirmed that there were no more double rooms. Given that the hotel had full authority to withhold my deposit, I would like to emphasize the owner's improper behavior, both in not keeping his word and in not accommodating me in any way. Obviously, in my opinion, this type of behavior undermines any added value the hotel has. P.S.: I should point out that the exact same behavior was repeated against an acquaintance of mine.

27/06/2025: An excellent experience! I ate very well: every dish was homemade, with fresh and quality ingredients. You can feel the care and passion in the kitchen. The staff was very kind and very professional. The desserts are delicious!! their tart is simply delicious, one of the best I have ever tasted, highly recommended!

20/06/2025: I went to this restaurant with friends, booking a few days in advance, and had a terrible experience. We chose it only because it was the only one in the village. The restaurant actually has an excellent location and has enormous potential, but that's where the positive aspects stop. I don't feel like blaming the two very young guys who served our table, because they were clearly beginners, even though they tried to be kind. We wanted to take two platters that on paper were "local cold cuts and cheeses", costing a good 18 euros each, to share among the table, but when we pointed out that we were 3 vegetarians and therefore maybe to put a few more cheeses and less cold cuts, they told us that the platter was actually only cold cuts + a few pieces of fontina. So we took only one platter, which was definitely not worth the price anyway. At that point we found ourselves waiting for the first course. It was a very long wait, a good hour and a half, even though the restaurant was far from full. My pasta (asparagus and pecorino romano) costing a whopping 14 euros, a forced choice because it was the only veg first course (we're talking about typical dishes, but there's not much typical about it), was mediocre to say the least: overcooked, with a vegetable broth flavour and almost white. The pasta of the other diners (venison ragù) was rejected by everyone. Only the polenta concia was vaguely passable. Finally, the house wine was so acidic and with an intense and unpleasant smell of alcohol, that we sent back one of the two liters we had bought. When it came to the amaro, given the location, we were expecting something local, but instead we had to settle for amaro del capo and montenegro. We wanted to eat good, sincere food. We found ourselves paying almost 30 euros each for a first course that was not at all decent, a mediocre platter divided into 8 (!!!), terrible wine and a commercial amaro. I do not recommend

01/02/2025: Super friendly staff and amazing service! If there is ever an issue just ask the staff who will solve anything for you, if the menu doesn’t suit you they fix an alternative. If the bedsheets doesn’t meet your preferences they will fix an alternative! The only areas for improvement is the spa area where the temperatures of the sauna and jacuzzi were a bit low. (The staff probably could have fixed that one too if I had thought to ask) Thank you hotel Pavillon for an amazing week 😍

04/05/2025: Con la voglia di ciccia, prenoto in questo ristorante per lasciarci andare ad una cena a base di buona carne.....e, come in passato, rimaniamo soddisfatti. In attesa di un filetto alla griglia ed un filetto al blu d'Aosta ordiniamo un pizza bianca mozzarella e rosmarino che apprezziamo. Ed poi la ciccia: porzioni, qualità e cottura perfette. Con un abbondante ciotola di patatine fritte, una birra, un acqua e due caffè, pago un prezzo onesto. Complimenti per il servizio. Avendo casa in zona ci torneremo sicuramente.

06/03/2025: Ci torniamo da tre anni quando siamo a sciare qui e quest'anno è la prima volta. Si conferma un locale semplice ed accogliente, carne o pizza è comunque un ottima scelta. Cortesi, ma non affettati, servizio mediamente veloce e soddisfazione a fine cena. Apprezzo molto la mancanza di sofisticherie para gormet. Molto brave.

06/05/2025: After a mechanical problem with our car on Sunday night, we found ourselves having to look for a hotel at midnight near the Verrès motorway exit, within walking distance, given the impossibility of finding a taxi at that hour. Mrs. Deborah answered the phone immediately, understanding the emergency situation and offering us two rooms and clear instructions late at night. Excellent breakfast. Staff of rare kindness, courtesy and helpfulness. Thanks again!

13/05/2025: How can I review a closed place? Sunday we went up hoping to have lunch, since there was no notice of closure, and like us many others met along the way. Too bad.
