09/05/2026: My friends and I had an amazing lunch at Masolino. The food was fantastic, especially the artichoke and the torta al testo. I ate maybe one of the best carbonara of my life with truffle. I will definitely come back and try new dishes. Highly recommend it if you are in the Lago Trasimeno area area.

01/05/2026: Was looking forward to an enjoyable final dinner in Italy, but unfortunately we ended up here. The server was pretentious and unwelcoming, and wouldn’t give us the time of day. He refused to look at or speak to us. The whole experience was terribly uncomfortable. It was a disappointing experience to leave a beautiful place with. Would not recommend if you’re visiting.

09/06/2026: Tagliolini, for example, excellent dough, with truffles, but you couldn't taste it. It was reported that it wasn't the right season. The grilled meats, lamb, and pork, were really good. The tables, in my opinion, even though they are vintage with exposed rough wood, should be covered with something to put bread on, for example.
02/06/2026: Food with minimal portions, like tastings, 3 stars just for that, and high prices considering the type of restaurant. At least they could have made larger portions. Unfortunately, they brought the starters separately, one before the appetizer my partner had ordered, and one after. Then the waiter asked me, "You're not eating," while my partner was eating the starter.

Here you won't find frills or distractions: everything is essential, direct, and honest, exactly as any place should be where the primary goal is one: to eat and drink WELL. It's a wonderful place made up of exceptional and special people. Incredible elements and synergies of flavor are the best you could wish for. All these elements are brought to life by the heart and soul of the incredible and incredibly talented Patron Chef Katia Trippanera. She possesses an absolute, top-notch technique that allows her to work the ingredients like very few others, resulting in dishes that are beyond unique and incredibly flavorful, but above all...simple. Her management is a tribute to patience and quality: here, service is entirely express, meaning every dish is created the moment you order it. The expertly crafted ingredients, beyond perfection, blend seamlessly with the highest-quality raw materials, used with incredible skill. 05/05/2026: Yesterday we had the pleasure of lunch at Ristorante Montenero, a true gem in the Amelia countryside, which this year celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 100 years in business, since 1926. A family-run trattoria that has successfully reinvented itself in its hospitality without ever betraying its soul: that of authentic Umbrian tradition. Dishes that tell a story of authentic flavors and passion, such as the hearty and authentic handmade fettuccine with ragù, game, pan-fried chicken, stewed mutton, and coratella (a kind of lamb cutlet). All prepared with local produce and the highest-quality ingredients. But beyond the cuisine, what truly strikes you is the atmosphere: a warm, family-friendly environment where you immediately feel at home. One of those rare places that still retains the profound sense of time-honored hospitality. My sincere congratulations to the entire staff for preserving and passing on such an important tradition. 06/05/2026: We stayed here on May 1st, 6 adults and 2 little girls. The place is surrounded by the green Umbrian hills, with a fantastic view. Excellent hospitality, the young and polite staff met our every need, even with two little girls who weren't particularly keen on sitting down! Excellent local food, presented in a modern style! Well done, especially Tommaso, if I remember correctly!

09/06/2026: I had a fantastic birthday, the food was spectacular. The owner and his staff were equally spectacular. I highly recommend it if you want to eat well.
31/05/2026: We came here somewhat by chance; we weren't sure where to go, and I admit it was a last-minute stopgap. Besides the stunning village, we were also greeted by this place, nestled in a peaceful corner that in my head screamed "serendipity." We were incredibly surprised and impressed by every dish: authentic, flavorful, with excellent ingredients, a blend of old and new. Chef Diego's influence is clearly evident. The staff was also incredibly friendly! I don't know what else to say; it was one of the most memorable dinners of our lives and certainly the best Umbrian gastronomic experience. The price was a bit above average, but absolutely in line with the quality. A must-visit if we ever return (hopefully soon) to this area!
