12/06/2025: I didn't think there were any bad restaurants in Perugia until I came here. Not good food, no flavors, just salt.

04/06/2025: Excellent restaurant in the heart of Perugia. Small and very well-kept and welcoming, with staff who are really very kind and friendly. The dishes are really excellent and also these are well-kept, from the appetizers to the dessert, with very welcome vegetarian and vegan options, so I highly recommend going there!

14/07/2025: Excellent food, local produce, and beautifully prepared. An authentic oasis with a spectacular view, where you can experience the authentic magic nestled in a beautiful landscape. Attentive and courteous service. Every time we return, it's always wonderful.

23/06/2025: We had a really good meal at Il Baldo while visiting Perugia. Tucked away on a quiet side street, the outdoor seating had a calm, relaxed vibe—cool shade, cobbled stone, and a welcome break from the bustle. We shared a sampler plate to start, followed by a flavorful truffle pasta in the Perugia style—earthy, satisfying, and well-executed. The four-cheese pizza was rich and comforting, with a crispy crust and perfectly melted blend of cheeses. Friendly service, generous portions, and a lovely setting. 04/07/2025: Ristorante con una location molto particolare nel centro di Spoleto. Personalmente mi sono recata in questo ristorante avendo letto che erano presenti svariate opzioni vegane e vegetariane. Forse avevo aspettative troppo alte che non sono state soddisfatte però nel complesso piatti un po’ miseri per i prezzi richiesti e gusti non molto spiccati, mi sono alzata con ancora la fame. Tuttavia è un ristorante carino se si vuole sperimentare qualcosa al di fuori della tipica cucina spoletina.

12/07/2025: A fixed menu of 14-15 courses, not always full plates but rather tastings, based on typical local products or preparations. The order of dishes at the table doesn't follow the traditional first course, second course, and side dish order. In fact, dinner (in my case, in the 10 years I've been eating at Botteguccia, it's always dinner only) concludes with a final course of pappardelle, strangozzi, or fettuccine with truffle. It can be confusing, but it's the house's choice, and it's good to know this before sitting down. The individual dishes change frequently. In my visits over the years, I've found the cream of chickpeas or cannellini beans with truffle, the final pasta with truffle, the lentils with three herbs, the goose pâté with crostoni, and the roasted meats (be it pancetta, sausage, or steak) to be superb. The warm ricotta with olive oil (and bread) is always delicious (and always a favorite starting point). It's a shame that in 2025 their tiramisu is no longer on the dessert menu: it was exquisite. The price has been increased this year, but it's in line with the offerings, quantity, and quality. It's worth noting that the final bill is lower if you skip the truffle pasta at the end of the meal. My bill included pasta (and it couldn't have been otherwise).

09/05/2025: Being in an ancient village you have to get there on foot. Remarkable location and courteous staff. Excellent dishes and excellent wines. I had already been there in the past and I went back on purpose this time and it did not disappoint my expectations. Highly recommended.

05/05/2025: An excellent dinner at the entrance to the beautiful historic center of San Gemini. Local products are highlighted from the appetizer, a platter of cured meats and cheeses, to the dessert. The Sangemini Picchiarelli with white meat ragout and parmesan with the addition of black truffle are unforgettable. The service is quick and courteous. The bill is adequate.

09/07/2025: The review refers to the restaurant. The location is beautiful, but the quality/price ratio isn't adequate. An appetizer of three bruschettas costs €10, and three grilled lamb chops cost €20, too. The service is like a farmhouse, but the prices aren't. Overall, I can give it a passing grade, no more.

03/07/2025: We spent a wonderful week at this magnificent place! We really enjoyed the location, the service, and especially the excellent food! Our dog was also very welcome. It's a great place to explore the towns of Umbria from here, and we're always happy to return for dinner in the evening. The only thing is that the rooms and bathrooms could be a bit larger, but they're beautifully renovated and air-conditioned. Thanks again to everyone for the wonderful week!

22/06/2025: Location deliziosa, personale preparato, cibo squisito. Ci siamo sentite accolte e coccolate dal proprietario al personale ma soprattutto dalle pietanze .. tutto era ottimo ..si possono sentire tutti i sapori ma tutto si lega alla perfezione. Grande impegno sulla ricerca della qualità che viene servita sapientemente. Un misto fra Sicilia e Umbria sapori antichi trattati in modo moderno e innovativo, il tutto fatto a mano da lui compresi pane pasta e dolci. Non è stata una semplice cena ma ..un viaggio. Complimenti..!! Consiglio vivamente a tutti.

13/07/2025: Abbiamo cenato lì una sera. Hamburger di qualità e pizza buona. Pagato nella media.Camerieri gentili. Pur consigliando la prenotazione abbiamo cenato tranquillamente anche senza (il posto ha parecchi coperti).

07/07/2025: Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food, youthful atmosphere...all ingredients that make this place a must-visit. Huge variety of pizzas, sandwiches and plated meat, special mention for the baked pork shank...great variety of beers...nice outdoor atmosphere with German beer garden style tables...large parking lot. Highly recommended place.

29/06/2025: Excellent food and impeccable service in terms of timing and kindness... Too bad that the restaurant staff "did not notice" (this is what I was told by the staff to whom I reported the incident upon leaving) that at a table, a dog was sitting with his companions and guests on a seat usually used for children!

26/06/2025: We spent 2 nights in this small village transformed into a farmhouse. We appreciated both the hospitality of Marco & Andrea and the courtesy and kindness of all the staff. Place immersed in the beautiful Umbrian hills with the possibility of using a comfortable and spacious swimming pool (you can touch it everywhere). Excellent breakfast with homemade cakes and not to be missed the restaurant with typical dishes and revalued with great skill: to taste the stuffed zucchini. Good cleanliness and the absolute tranquility of the place. Not to be missed.

23/06/2025: My boyfriend and I stayed with Marco and Andrea thanks to a smartbox and the stay went far beyond our expectations. If you are looking for a bit of peace and good company, this is the right place. Farmhouse surrounded by greenery, with a large swimming pool where you can cool off in total relaxation. Andrea makes incredible spritz and the food, from aperitif to catering, is of excellent quality. We didn't want to leave and in fact we stayed longer than we should have. Thanks to the guys for the incredible welcome..see you soon, we will definitely be back!
