04/10/2025: I'm writing a review of the place: there are five of us, there are seats for us, we ask if we can sit. The hasty waiter, without even giving us a glance, tells us we have to wait at the door and that it will take 40 minutes, without even giving us a chance to sit down. I understand that it's 9:13 PM and the place closes at 10 PM, given that we wanted to have a soup each and managed to finish in time, but politely saying, "Sorry, we're closing, can't we seat you?" Too difficult? It's not even true that the waiter was upset because there were empty seats and another waitress. Very rude and unprofessional, what a shame.

21/09/2025: Renowned trattoria with a unique soup menu. Excellent food and fast, attentive service. The atmosphere is distinctive, with vaulted ceilings and exposed brick and stone.

29/09/2025: Very nice rooms. Newly renovated. Good breakfast. Very friendly service. Pleasant overnight stay.

14/09/2025: Lovingly furnished, spacious rooms with everything you could wish for. We were able to safely store our e-bikes in the house and charge the batteries.

I asked why the truffle umbricelli I ordered looked like "finer tagliatelline," as a waitress described them, and the chef rudely replied that umbricelli are made like that and that I was confusing them with strangozzi. It's a shame, though, because I know what umbricelli are, and then you see bags of real umbricelli sold around the city, and they're definitely not the ones I was served. It's a shame, because after all, it wouldn't even be bad to eat.

30/09/2025: Stopping by before the Serie D match between Cannara and Grosseto, a special lunch awaited, as did the entire staff! Strangozzi with truffles and fillet steak with sauce, pepper, and raisins, served with roast potatoes—truly out of this world, all washed down with a lovely glass of red wine, complete with a glass of limoncello! Definitely worth it, a hug from Maremma!

17/09/2025: Having just arrived in Spoleto from Puglia, we were looking for a place to eat and relax after the long drive to Umbria. A delightful discovery, with excellent pizza and service.

23/08/2025: A lovely restaurant in Spoleto's historic center, with a welcoming atmosphere and a menu offering a decent variety. I tried the hemp gnocco for my first course, which had a distinctive flavor but was overall delicious and interesting. The restaurant offers spacious interiors and a few outdoor tables, perfect for nice weather. The only downside was the service: sitting outside, our dishes were very late, we received little attention, and I even had to wait a long time at the register to pay. There didn't seem to be a particularly busy crowd, so perhaps it was just bad luck. Overall, however, it was a good experience, with the quality of the food adequate for the price.

21/09/2025: In this little corner of Umbria, I ate creamed cod that I almost couldn't find in Venice.... Compliments to the chef 👏👏 .

18/09/2025: We were four for lunch, the atmosphere is welcoming, well-kept and nice, the owner was kind and very professional and showed attention to our needs, the prices were fair and the products were quality. We will be back.

01/10/2025: To discuss this logo, we need to separate the restaurant from the agriturismo: the agriturismo is a restored old village; as soon as you arrive, a sense of peace and tranquility pervades your soul... the materials used are not far removed from the originals and are not displaced from the originals. There is also a swimming pool surrounded by hedges and olive trees, very quiet and hidden. The rooms are rustic, spacious, with antique furniture. Ours had a windowless bathroom, but that's understandable, and it had a large courtyard with a breathtaking view. The cleanliness could use some updating, with lots of cobwebs, but after all, we are on a agriturismo; they're part of the landscape! Furthermore, the silence that surrounds the property is conducive to sleep. As for the restaurant, the dishes are typical Umbrian, the platters are plentiful and made with top-quality ingredients, the pastas are all homemade and seasoned with top-quality ingredients. We also enjoyed an aperitif with two spritzes and a platter of cold cuts at a very reasonable price. For lunch, we ordered a platter of cold cuts, bruschetta, and fried foods, two first courses: fettuccine with Fassona ragù and strozzapreti with venison ragù, a liter of house red wine, coffee, and amaro. Breakfast includes a buffet of artisanal sweets, cakes, ring cakes, and biscuits; for a savory breakfast, please ask the staff. We stayed at the property using a Smartbox, and I must say we were treated with kid gloves. Overall, a truly wonderful experience, worth repeating even just for lunch in the open air and surrounded by nature.

30/09/2025: Excellent countryside location. Peace and quiet abound. A small village with a small church and rooms and apartments. However, they require maintenance, as they have been left to decay over time. The restaurant is excellent, with good service and excellent dishes, as well as top-quality meat. Good wine tasting available.

13/10/2025: It was a beautiful day, we celebrated Grandma's birthday and felt welcomed right at home. The food and service were excellent, and the location is surrounded by greenery and well-maintained. The owners were able to accommodate all our needs. Thank you, and see you soon!

30/09/2025: We sit down thinking we could eat something, after 17 minutes (counted) the "girl" arrives and with great refinement that distinguishes a country girl ORDERES us to get up telling us that those tables are booked for later and on the table there was nothing written... CONGRATULATIONS... A WILD BOAR IS MORE REFINED AND POLITE.

28/09/2025: A pleasant evening, you immediately feel like you're part of the family. Abundant dishes, meticulously prepared, local ingredients. The staff were courteous from the moment we arrived. I completely fell in love with the Sagrantino wine, a real highlight during dinner. Without a doubt, "Norcia at the table." We'll definitely be back.

07/10/2025: A restaurant serving traditional cuisine with period decor. Delicious food and huge portions. Superb value for money. We'll definitely return. Wait times are a bit long on weekends as the restaurant is always crowded.

22/09/2025: The bar is beautiful, right in front of the Rocca, the breakfasts are delicious, with a wide choice of croissants, maritozzi, mignon, pastries, pancakes and finally very kind and smiling staff

20/09/2025: I think it was the worst place I've ever stopped for an aperitivo. Rude staff, nonexistent service. We sat down, and the lady on duty didn't even bother to come and take our order, but continued cleaning the tables. It's not worth it, which is a shame because Città della Pieve deserves to be seen.

12/10/2025: A lovely discovery. The meat appetizer deserves an A+. The meat dish deserves an 8.5. Worth the stop. The service is pleasant and fast. The price is fair.

11/10/2025: We visited Ristorante Fratelli Bottiglieri after a somewhat difficult afternoon reservation, given the high demand for tables in the area. Although we were a group of eight, we were immediately and honestly informed that they couldn't guarantee a single table, but rather two tables for four, which we accepted, separating the adults and children. ​We appreciated the formula that combines a standard menu with a selection of off-menu items, with prices communicated verbally by the waiter (This formula, while typical, I would suggest making it more transparent on paper as well). ​We had various choices: venison, an asado, a hamburger, and a carpaccio—for the adults. For the children, a steak with fries and a hamburger and fries sandwich. The dishes were undoubtedly "different and well-served," a testament to the quality of the ingredients and preparation. ​The waiter who looked after us was very friendly and kind, an aspect that contributed positively to the atmosphere. However, the service was a bit hit and miss: the burger and fries for one of the guys arrived late because the order had been "lost" or forgotten. If it hadn't been for this unexpected wait, I would have given it a higher rating. We paired our meal with a bottle of Perticaia, a good wine. The final bill was extremely reasonable: just €17 per person for eight people, a truly exceptional value considering the variety and quality of the meat served. With a little logistical improvement, this place would deserve top marks. I look forward to seeing you next time.
