Taverna dello Spagna In Spoleto

This wonderful little restaurant in the historic center of Spoleto represents what should be an example for many restaurateurs in Italy. Despite being an "omnivorous" restaurant, the menu offers a large quantity of vegetarian and vegan dishes, allowing the customer to "choose". And this is no small thing. Very rarely do you find restaurants "open" to everyone and so inclusive! Here anyone can choose what they want to eat. There is only the arduous task of having to choose, because all the dishes offered are truly wonderful! Quality raw materials expertly cooked, dishes made with care and attention, generous portions, refined and delicious flavors and... lower than average prices! The staff is also really friendly and helpful! Congratulations indeed!

A truly characteristic and clean place, staff at the tables are friendly and ready to accommodate every request, exquisite food (even for vegetarians) as well as good wine. It's a shame that upon payment they didn't give us the opportunity to pay each one what they had taken but we had to do the math on our own... for the rest what can I say I would go back

Kindness and education with great quality of food and lots and lots of availability We asked to be out in an hour (there were 12 of us) and they were very punctual Lentil meatloaf and pumpkin parmigiana 🔝 But bloody mushrooms aren't bad either Highly recommended The gem: the saffron liqueur Spotless bathroom

The interiors are very nice, with paintings and accessories of various types decorating the various rooms. Vegan dishes available. Organic house wine. The lentil and hazelnut meatloaf with caramelized onions is excellent. The desserts are also good. Prices absolutely normal.

Walked in for lunch :05 before opening, within an hour multiple dining rooms were filled. Excellent local cuisine, chef delivered Strangozzi and tortellini, delicious along with a couple glasses of wine. Excellent service but as lunch hour goes on staff is busy serving and you need to walk to the cash register to close out. Several unusual pizza dishes looked good too.

We had dinner at this restaurant for two evenings in August. Very nice atmosphere, friendly and quick staff. The food is good, even the pizzas. Overall we had a very good time and if we return to Spoleto, we will try other dishes. Just one note: it's clear that you care about cleaning the tables, but try to consider that it's not pleasant to smell the product you spray while you're eating. For the rest, well done.
