We're from Brescia and were on vacation in Assisi. We stumbled upon this trattoria by chance. We ate wonderfully. Excellent value for money.
The atmosphere is reminiscent of old-fashioned taverns, and the owner was a warm, friendly person from days gone by.
I'll definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.

We arrived at a somewhat challenging time, as the restaurant only had 20 people seated, but the owner was extremely kind and welcomed us anyway. The location is charming, with outdoor tables and surrounded by greenery just steps from the Bosco di San Francesco and Terzo Paradiso. The menu is not only traditional but also exquisitely historic, with vegetarian options and dishes cooked in a simple, authentic yet delicious way. The prices are truly excellent considering its location, the lack of other restaurants, and the quality.

I wish I could leave twelve stars for this place instead of just five. I brought a group of twenty Australians here yesterday and the amount of food we were given, it’s quality, diversity and taste, the charming natural atmosphere of the place, and really the whole experience, was unparalleled. We chose the 50 Euro/person set menu, and several people in our group commented that it was the best meal they’d ever eaten. The gentleman who corresponded with me on WhatsApp ahead of our visit) was extremely kind, and the feast made an unforgettable finish to our visit in Assisi, really helping us feel the Franciscan and Umbrian spirit of the place. Thank you so much to these wonderful people for giving us such a beautiful experience!

We dined at Il Mulino without a reservation, at the last minute, enchanted by the location. Next to a small stream, surrounded by a nearby forest, illuminated by fairy lights and the glow of the stars, with a beautiful outdoor portico and classic pink stone structure. It was a pleasant evening spent in a place far from the chaos of Assisi, reminiscent of nature and traditional cuisine. I would definitely return!

Last night we went to eat in this really characteristic place, we ate very well (I recommend the pasta with truffle). The lady who served us was kind, friendly and helpful.
