27/08/2024: The Caffè dell'Ussero (editor's note: or hussar is a soldier who was part of the light cavalry unit) is a famous place included in the list of historic Italian cafés and is located on the ground floor of the beautiful Agostini palace (Venerosi della Seta) also called the Red Palace. The palace is located in a spacious stretch of the Pisan Lungarno right in front of Palazzo Blu. In this stretch the Lungarno is very beautiful as Leopardi reminds us in one of his maxims written on a plaque right in front of the place: "the look of Pisa I like it much more than Florence. This Lungarno is a spectacle so vast, so magnificent, so cheerful, so cheerful, it makes you fall in love. I have not seen anything similar either in Florence or Milan or Rome. And I really don't know if there are many views of this sort in all of Europe." The very ancient place, one of the oldest in Italy, has been active since 1775, in 1839 it hosted the first Italian Congress of Scientists and throughout the nineteenth century it was a meeting place for scientists and men of culture of the caliber of Mazzei , Giusti, Giovan Battista Niccolini, Carducci etc. Closed several times by the police as it was considered a den of patriots both in 1914 and 1944. It was finally restored and reopened on 10 May 1959. It was, as a poster located inside declares, the hotbed of the Risorgimento and generations of students lived there spend reading the newspapers of Mazzini and Cavour. But there's more. In the back, the Lumiere cinema, the first Italian cinema (1905), remained active until the end of the last century. The first room, which is not particularly large, shows some indications of the glorious past. If, however, you enter the small room at the back on the left you can understand well, from the numerous newspaper clippings of the period and the numerous plaques of recognition, what this place may have been in the nineteenth century. Over the years it has deteriorated a bit but today fortunately, thanks to new management, the place has regained the vitality it deserves. Outside there are many well-kept tables where you can have breakfast while admiring the Arno. Average prices. Cappuccino 1.50 Sweet pieces (good thresholds)1.50 I had a good breakfast. Absolutely recommended. You will dive into history.

25/08/2024: Very polite! Gave me great tips on sandwhiches to try. I had two decent sized sandwhiches and one small one. This plus a cappuccino was only 10 euros! Great prices for very good food.

10/08/2024: Siamo tornati a mangiare qui a distanza di 2 anni, accompagnati dal nostro lagotto, ricordandoci di una piacevolissima serata. I nostri ricordi sono stati superati da un menu ottimo (peposo e pasta ubriaca) e da una selezione di birre artigianali eccezionale (io personalmente sono andato fuori di testa per la stout!!!). Dulcis in fundo, il dessert "manna cotta" era squisito (sempre a tema stout). Ringrazio il personale per averci regalato un'altra serata deliziosa. Spero di poterci tornare presto!

27/07/2024: Delicious beer in very different variations and you can tell that it is brewed here with love and passion. We were given an explanation of each type of beer and just listening to the individual flavors just makes you want to taste the beer. The food was also delicious and nicely presented. All in all a well-rounded experience. We can only recommend this restaurant!

30/08/2024: The best pizza I've ever eaten, first courses not bad although perhaps limited, but as far as pizzas go, nothing can be said. A vast menu, full of flavours, but above all pizzas with a unique flavour. Highly recommended.

06/08/2024: We went for dinner on Saturday night. The seafood starters are excellent and plentiful, with new and original things. The cuttlefish ink rice is very good and the fried squid and prawns are well cooked.

25/07/2024: Ottima pizzeria, con antipasti misti davvero ottimi. Tante le pizze nel menù, la Burrata TOP. Assolutamente da ritornare!

14/07/2024: Recatomi con la famiglia una domenica sera, pur non essendo presenti molte persone e pur essendo arrivati abbastanza presto, il servizio risultava lento, presumibilmente per il molto asporto che evidentemente aveva la precedenza, infatti siamo stati serviti contemporaneamente ad altri commensali arrivati almeno 30 min dopo. Il cameriere comunque era gentile e la qualità della pizza discreta/buona, mentre il pane Arabo era veramente gustoso. I prezzi sono abbastanza elevati, seppur in linea con il trend di oggi. Il posto è in una zona pedonale non particolarmente carina ma comunque rilassante. Attenzione, perché non era segnalato da nessuna parte che facevano solo Pizzeria, pur essendo scritto ovunque Ristorante-Pizzeria, neanche su The Fork e pur essendo per noi poco influente, visto che eravamo orientati verso la pizza, mi pare una mancanza importante.

22/08/2024: I love it. They have lots of colorful sweets, the waitresses serve on skates, everything is themed and the meat is excellent.

19/08/2024: Surprisingly good! I've seen this place many times when driving to/from Pontedera and never been in until recently. The kids wanted a burger, and I don't like McDonald's so decided to try the American Diner. Decent enough quality, a great selection of burgers and a fun setting. I'd happily return.

21/08/2024: I ordered a vegan avocado toast with gluten free bread. The space had a comfortable climat (airconditioning), walking to the place there was art exposed 😍 the people working there were very friendly and helpful. Service was fast and last but not least: the food was very very delicious. Would definitely recommend going here! The toast looked and tasted too good to hold back so unfortunately I didn't take w picture of it. You'll just have to go check it out for yourselves ;) Grazie!

10/08/2024: Great tent, but certainly not the 4.6 score we expected. Ordered pancakes with chocolate and scrambled eggs. Price-quality ratio is not worth it: received 1 small, thick, slightly dry sandwich on which you could not put the egg and bacon. No special taste either. Added salt and pepper myself to get the taste. Staff is otherwise friendly.

24/07/2024: Ate very tasty pizza. There were four of us and we got very tasty, crispy pizzas. The children immediately said that we had to come back
