25/09/2025: We are currently (end of September 2025) in Tuscany – so after the season – and live near Palaia. We already know "Il Pettirosso" from previous vacations in Tuscany and we always enjoy going there. Table reservations are highly recommended, even in the off-season, as the beautiful garden isn't large enough at sunset and there are only limited seating options. Dogs are also welcome and are provided with water. As always, we had a wonderful meal this week. For starters, we had two bruschettas each, followed by a calzone for my wife and penne arrabiata for me. For dessert, we had two espressos and a tiramisu. We drank half a liter of Vino Bianco della Casa. All together, it came to just 53 euros. Very good quality at more than fair prices. The service was also excellent; we were served very well by two young waiters. The ambiance isn't quite as pleasant as in summer, when you can enjoy the sunset on the terrace around 9 p.m. But for us, it's still full marks, and we'll definitely be back for dinner in the remaining days. Thank you very much! PS: These prices should make many constantly complaining restaurateurs in Germany blush. Where can you get half a liter of open wine for 5 euros here?

21/10/2025: A delightful green corner on the historic Appian Way, the restaurant is run with dedication and love by Mr. Giovanni. The food is excellent. It's a shame that not all the servers are as friendly and polite as the manager; that's the only criticism I feel compelled to make.

21/09/2025: While visiting Riparbella, we had the opportunity to have lunch at this restaurant. The atmosphere was welcoming, just like the owner, and the staff was quick and attentive to everything. Excellent food with flavors that take us back to childhood, such as cured meats and crostini of all kinds. The dish of the day: delicious, tender and dry fried chicken and rabbit, fried potatoes and beans, peach tiramisu and a brick with chocolate, all accompanied by a good wine. We will return and recommend it without a doubt. Thanks from Viareggio

21/09/2025: Excellent experience, delicious food: pappardelle with wild boar + breaded fried rabbit, and for her, penne with rabbit sauce + stewed rabbit. Service was good, the house wine was good, and we finished with a peach tiramisu. Everything was super good and recommended. Enjoy your meal.

02/09/2025: As expats we were looking for a place to get authentic Italian pizza. And their particular type „Salsiccia e Friarelli“ is in my opinion maybe the best pizza I was ever enlightened to eat. That’s why we baptised this restaurant just „The Pizza Temple“. Grazie.

05/09/2025: Nice pizzeria that's not too crowded. The pizzas are fantastic. Lots of toppings, plenty of choices, and a wonderfully thin, crispy crust. The side dishes are also great (e.g., antipasto). This was our second time here and we'll definitely be back.

30/08/2025: The first courses and appetizers are excellent, but the pizza is equally as good. All the traditional Tuscan dishes are worth trying. The attentive and friendly service is excellent. A great place to stop. I recommend trying it.

The atmosphere was great; it's a true local spot, and the decor reflects that, which certainly has its charm. 😊 If we ever return to Rivalto, we'll definitely visit Anna's Bar again!
