17/09/2025: An evening spent with family, a warm welcome, and excellent pizza. A fair price.

19/09/2025: It's a pastry shop I adore, especially for their special occasion desserts and mini pastries. The creams are delicious, there's a huge variety, and the fruit they use is always excellent. The brioches and puff pastries for breakfast are also good, but I have to say they're a little less polished. The atmosphere isn't the best either, but it's nice.

16/09/2025: It has "Gourmet Street Food" in its name. It has nothing to do with gourmet. I had a "Würstel" (sausage). The dish could more accurately be described as a "Wiener in a dressing gown." Unfortunately, the dish was burnt. Something like that would have to be returned. The 0.3-liter beer cost 6 euros. Good restaurants are often cheaper. So, stay away.

07/09/2025: First time. Tiny takeout shop with a fabulous menu: incredibly original and delicious sandwiches. We tried the Vizio Gola with Chianina tuna, and Ira with zucchini flowers and orange zest, and... we decided to return to try the others. The owner is friendly and very kind. The Avarizia sandwich is brilliant: just bread (which is actually focaccia bread) with nothing inside, obviously extremely cheap! 😁. September 2025: Four years have passed, and we've been back every year (every time we pass through Viareggio), and it has never disappointed us. We'd tried almost all the "Vizi" (and a few small dishes), but never the Ottavo. So this time we try it: you think it's a normal burger, but you immediately realize it's not... Chianina beef burger, salad and cherry tomatoes, thin caciobuffalo cheese, magnificent caramelized Tropea onions, a little bell pepper, and... crispy pancetta, all in "their" special, delicious bread. And nothing... we even "dipped" the sauce left on the menu. Don't be scared by the price, it's worth it! The quality is excellent, the atmosphere small but welcoming, and the owner, Marco, is friendly and very helpful. And if you have to wait... just wait, you won't regret it. P.S. I'm not his sister! 😉

30/10/2025: A good family-run restaurant where you can have lunch until late (3 pm). It wasn't our first choice, but we have no regrets: pleasant service, well-prepared pasta, and delicious homemade tiramisu. It's clean and well-located (at the back of the promenade, but very close), away from the crowds. Prices are reasonable. The music was a bit loud, but perhaps that was because it wasn't very busy on that Thursday in October...

25/10/2025: Seriously inadequate in every way. I chose it with my family somewhat by chance, strolling through the inner streets of Viareggio. We ordered spaghetti allo scoglio with shellfish that hadn't been cleaned properly, and a seafood pizza that was actually a marinara with tiny octopus added—embarrassing. Given the time and the child's hunger, we didn't leave. The service was poor, and the staff lacked training (drinks were wrong and remade, the bread basket wasn't fresh and contained one slice and two crusts, the waitress chewed gum, and I'll leave it there). The atmosphere is a bit noisy (tables a little too close together), but I'll save it since it's a pizzeria. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I've definitely found better, much better, in Viareggio.

13/11/2025: I went to this restaurant and had a tasting menu... The price was really okay, but I had different expectations for the food...

27/07/2025: In a very simple setting (but with a cloth tablecloth), the menu offers a few courses that vary throughout the weeks. It's mostly fish, but also features a few meat dishes. I go there about once a year and always enjoy the well-prepared dishes, whether it's the traditional fried fish or the chef's more unusual creations. The informal but always friendly waiters make guests feel at ease.

26/11/2025: Very classic dishes, nothing wow-worthy or innovative, but excellent quality and attention to detail. The service was impeccable, too. We started with tartar and stuffed mussels (slightly salty), followed by cheek (which melted in the mouth) and the fish of the day. I also recommend the desserts; we opted for the apple pie and the mascarpone pie (pictured). They also brought us an amuse bouche and, along with the desserts, an assortment of their small pastries. The wine list is also good.

25/09/2025: This bar is in an excellent location with a large outdoor area, where it's pleasant to stop and chat in peace. We can't comment on the food because we only had coffee, but the welcome was warm and very helpful. Finally, the restrooms were very clean, which is always a nice touch. Well done!

19/11/2025: The wine by the glass was delicious, rated at 3 stars. The food was better than ready-made meals bought at the supermarket. The saltiness was strong. Or the flavor was bland. It's a tourist destination, so maybe that can't be helped.

16/11/2025: Despite showing up at Lucca Comics & Games three different times, rain or shine, we managed to snag a table for two without waiting more than a few minutes each time. The cuisine was traditional, plentiful, and incredibly tasty. The prices were fair, perhaps slightly above average, but I challenge myself to find a restaurant within the city walls like this with record-breaking preparation times, prompt and knowledgeable staff, and such high-quality food! A total pass! It was an unexpected treat that made our Lucca Comics experience a hundredfold!

26/10/2025: We spent a wonderful evening at this restaurant, with the new chef Sebastiano, who has revolutionized the kitchen and the dishes. The quality is extraordinary and the dishes are unique, definitely worth trying. The service is friendly and the prices are fair; the passion and dedication to the cuisine is evident in every bite. Compliments to the entire staff, and we'll definitely see you next time!

06/10/2025: We had 2 drinks mid afternoon, they were very nice, but no table cover, no napkins, no aperitivo snacks and we were charged a 6€ cover. First time anywhere in Lucca with a cover charge for having a drink, And first time having nothing else provided.

28/08/2025: This small restaurant is somewhat hidden away, but the service and ambiance are wonderful. We had several very good meals here during our vacation. The fresh fish is expertly prepared, cut at the table, and tastes great. The desserts are also very tasty (Crème Catalan is amazing). The price is perfectly reasonable. We paid around €110 for three people, including drinks, an appetizer, dessert, and a cappuccino. You can sit outside or inside. It's not big, but it's very cozy. We would eat here again anytime. Thank you for the great service.

02/09/2025: Delicious pizzas at a fair price. Many locals also pick up their pizzas here. Very wide selection.
