22/02/2026: Very good food. Original atmosphere. The waiters were a bit inexperienced. We waited over two hours to complete lunch for four today.

12/01/2026: So-so food and service, no one knows whose fault... we ordered two teas and they only gave us one teapot. We asked for another teapot, but they didn't serve it with lemon. We asked for lemon, and waited 15 minutes. We had ordered a small plate of mixed dry biscuits, and they brought us seven small, identical biscuits. We ordered a macchiato and a Decathlon macchiato, and when they served us, they couldn't tell which was the Decathlon and which was the regular coffee. We ordered two aperitifs and they brought us two squares of onion omelette, two dried-up baked chicken wings, two tubs of mayonnaise, and I don't know what else mixed together, along with a rather dry and cold bread tart, a small glass of dry taralli, and two meatballs, perhaps made of mozzarella, but the whole thing was unsightly and inedible. Then, without any explanation of what they brought us, and without asking if we were allergic to anything, they served us a hot chocolate with fairly warm cream. All for the price of 36 euros. Normal, but the service and food aren't up to par. Not to mention the "gross" bathrooms, which are unclean, and you end up getting your shoes wet. Then you sit in the dining room with rugs under the tables that smelled bad, and who knows how often they clean them. Unfortunately, it's a place I won't return to. Sorry, but not worth trying; there are better options.

12/11/2025: Although the Cinema Astra is practically invisible from the outside, the large interior hall impresses with its comfortable seats, panoramic screen, and top-notch sound system. Highly recommended. Don't miss it during Comics at the end of October for its extensive lineup.

13/03/2026: A real tourist trap. The pizza was clearly not fresh or made on the spot – it looked like it had been bought somewhere else and it was even served cold. The food was generally very disappointing for the price you pay. The staff was also unpleasant, especially the blonde waitress, who came across as very unfriendly and uninterested. The only positive thing about this place is the location, but there are much better restaurants in Lucca. I would not recommend it.

02/10/2025: The food is always good, but over the years it's lost its character, it's grown considerably, adding more and more tables, and like almost all the places in the area, it's getting a bit snobbish... A focaccia, on average, has reached 9 euros; with three focaccias for two, a couple of beers, a dessert to share, and two coffees, you can easily get to around fifty euros... I'm sorry, but that's really too much.

13/09/2025: Beautiful, relaxing atmosphere surrounded by greenery, and upon entry, the inviting yet unobtrusive smell of grilled meat fills the air. The cellar is well-stocked, and during this time of year, mushrooms galore, beautifully pan-fried and grilled caps.

21/02/2026: The quality was top notch. Nothing to complain about. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service excellent. Kudos to the woman who has a deep knowledge of local wines and gave us excellent recommendations. I'm giving it 4 stars because I found the portions a little on the small side considering the prices, especially the appetizers. At €60 per person for an appetizer and a main course, the portions could be more generous.

27/12/2025: I bought 1/2 kg of mixed biscuits this evening. And I already regret not having bought 1 kg. I've never tasted such good biscuits. My husband says they're not biscuits, but "pastries," but from a high-end bakery (his exact words). Absolutely top-quality ingredients and no additives. It doesn't get any better than this. 15/11/2025: Excellent home cooking... almost everything is homemade, with a fixed price menu... a starter, two first courses and two second courses, dessert, coffee and even a liqueur, in a nice setting with a wonderful view on the first floor and more tables on the ground floor... promoted with full marks including the staff who are courteous and kind... we will definitely be back

01/12/2025: An unexpected seafood restaurant in Barga. Simple, tasty dishes. The risotto was slightly below my expectations. The stuffed cuttlefish were exquisite. The fried fish was also excellent.
