09/08/2025: We stopped by this restaurant after returning late from the beach around 10:30 p.m. Fast service, decent food. Perfect for a quick bite at a time when other restaurants are no longer serving. The waitress is very friendly and cheerful.

18/08/2025: There was a bit of confusion. We walked in and didn't receive the slightest welcome. After asking, we sat down at the table with a small plate of cured meats and crostini already on the table before we arrived. The cured meats were hard and dry, and even the crostini looked like they'd been there a while. Then the first course arrived, and between the pappardelle and ravioli, there wasn't a single one to be saved. It looked like packaged food. The pappardelle, in particular, were unspeakable, so overcooked you couldn't even use a fork to pick them up; they melted. Given the poor quality of the first courses, we didn't want to try the second course. A terrible experience; we left feeling very dissatisfied and disappointed.

16/09/2025: Truly a wonderful place: the food is excellent and meticulously prepared, the service is prompt and fast, especially the robot that delivers the dishes to the tables...delicious. Highly recommended.

12/10/2025: My review is for the place, which is worth all the effort it took to get there by car. It's truly an incredible place where you can breathe pure air, real nature... with free-roaming animals... which is the most beautiful thing.

07/09/2025: I gave it 5 stars a while ago... this time I'm only giving it 2 because things have gotten much worse. The restaurant was booked for 12 PM but we couldn't get in until 1 PM. The produce shop isn't serviced even though they can see the line of customers. There were 3 people in front of me, and after 15 minutes, there were still 3 people. I left. The restaurant menu has dropped in quality, and there's less choice. There's a lack of helpfulness and customer service. If that were there, I would have overlooked the other shortcomings... I hope they improve and get back to how they were before.

28/09/2025: Restaurant in a beautiful square in Lucca, beautiful location and excellent hospitality, simple but essential table setting. We opted for the Classic menu: liver pâté with brioche bread, parmesan risotto with Chianti reduction, veal cheek with mashed potatoes, and finally an excellent dessert. Everything was excellent, all accompanied by a bottle of champagne, good value for money. I recommend it.

05/10/2025: Unfortunately, I have to give one star because the tiramisu was inedible. The liqueur covered the entire flavor.

23/09/2025: Four of us went there for dinner last night. The food was good, but overall, we weren't impressed. There was no music, and the atmosphere wasn't particularly inviting – even though there were only three tables occupied, there were two waiters serving, who didn't seem particularly friendly or attentive. The atmosphere was simply lacking. We found the prices significantly too high: for four main courses that were truly meager, even two light eaters said two waters and two bottles of wine (approx. €30 each), a portion of purée cost €10, which wasn't included with the €40 fish, so €50 for a small portion of fish with tomatoes, we paid over €300. For that price, we would have expected a more harmonious ambiance and a special overall experience. Overall, it was rather disappointing – good food, but not convincing value for money, and no atmosphere that would make us come back.

We waited 40 minutes for a drink order, and another 40 minutes for the waiter to come take our order. In response to the owner's comments, yes, I was at the wrong restaurant. It was called DA FRANCO.

14/06/2025: Lovely rustic location surrounded by greenery in a quiet and relaxing area outside the town of Camporgiano. You immediately feel at home, the setting is formal but the welcome is homely: friendly, kind and cordial staff. I came here for the end-of-year lunch with colleagues from the school and the owners were very kind to open just for us, as well as to prepare a menu for vegans and vegetarians just one day in advance. It was all delicious and much appreciated, I complimented the cook especially for the fried polenta with porcini mushrooms, but every dish deserved it! I'm sorry I don't have a photo of the vegetable appetizers but we were very hungry and I didn't have time! Recommended, I will definitely be back! 👏🏻

21/09/2025: Since I was passing through Garfagnana, I absolutely had to stay at the Belvedere. Tiziano is a guarantee of kindness and hospitality. His nephew Gino is surpassing him as a gracious host. Dinner was fantastic, as always, and the rooms were clean and welcoming. What can I say... They can't seem to amaze me anymore... I feel more and more at home. Thanks to Tiziano, Gino, and all the staff... See you soon

07/09/2025: Located near the Passo dei Carpinelli, the hotel is very clean. The staff is friendly, competent, and dedicated (something that hasn't been seen very often in recent years). We had lunch and then used the pool, which was also very clean and beautiful, surrounded by greenery and umbrellas. In the height of summer, the scorching sun is enchanting. I highly recommend it; it's a good price.

15/09/2025: An evening with friends at this historic Lucca restaurant, which used to be my Thursday lunch stop with schoolmates in the early '90s when it was called "Fratelli Bandiera"... and a lot of water has passed under the bridge, and I've found the place much improved!! But above all, kudos to the people who run it—I don't know their name, but at the cash register, like the person who churned out pizzas, focaccias, calzones, and more...and also to the staff serving tables, all welcoming, friendly, helpful, kind, and quick. The cooked focaccia and mozzarella and cecina were very, very good. Wait for me, I'll be back soon! Katia

13/09/2025: Excellent food in a beautiful square shaded by plane trees. What more could you ask for?! I was in Lucca 4 years ago and am returning today. When I thought about what to eat, I immediately thought of coming here. The platter is truly excellent, just as I remembered it!

05/10/2025: Welcome to hell! It must be said that the resort looks nice at the entrance and that perhaps there are more comfortable rooms than the one I experienced, but that doesn't make my experience any less unpleasant. Foreword: the company that hosted me requested the rooms months and months ago, and specifically a "top" room for me (they always do it, everywhere, and I've always had top-notch experiences). Instead, they shoved me into a sort of attic closet, with a sort of fire vent instead of a window: a tiny room (room?) without even a table to write on or a chair. A 4-star hotel, a room without even a chair. And then the cold: after a whole night under the duvet, I managed to get the room to 19°C, starting from a not-so-reassuring 17.5°C. The bathroom was hideous, with toilet paper piled on the sink and a closet the size of a Smurf. In short: obscene. But the worst thing is the totally inadequate staff: from the check-in staff who, faced with my complaints and those who booked, didn't know what to say and just stared at the floor, to the so-called manager who dismissed us in a rather rude manner without an apology or a smile, to the two waiters who, in the elevator queue with bottles of wine in hand, walked past the guests (I even have witnesses), sneaking into the elevator and violating every rule of good manners at breakfast, which opens at 7:00 and which saw no dining room staff until 8:00, except for one lady who didn't even say "good morning" or "smile" (she must have had her reasons, since she was alone in the dining room, but that doesn't mean they treat guests this way). I'm attaching photos and videos of my closet, photos of the breakfast room at 7:30 (if you don't see any dining room staff, it's because there was no one there, I mean no one), and a funny video of the coffee maker. If you want to use it, you have to lie on the floor because there's only one socket. Oh, and finally, the wonderful splash of color from the dusty, cold-air-emitting grate right next to the bed. The worst hospitality experience of my long travel career. What a shame. P.S.: I know, it's disgusting, but I didn't even take a shower: the bathroom temperature was far from the 18 degrees Celsius (64 degrees Fahrenheit) in the closet, and if I want cold showers or ice baths, I go to the spa. I preferred to avoid pneumonia, I hope you understand.

05/10/2025: Amazing local restaurant! Great food, great service, superb atmosphere!! We enjoyed a great evening here with a delicious “Gustosa” salad, followed by an outstanding fresh mortadella pizza, accompanied by a Tuscan “Montelpuciano” wine. Highly recommend this place for a perfect evening! Thank Leonardo for your great service!! 😉
