21/10/2025: A very simple restaurant near the splendid church of San Cassiano di Controne, above Bagni di Lucca. They bring whatever has been cooked that day, and you eat on a lovely terrace, with no choice. The fixed menu is €25. We started with warm focaccia and continued with meat tortelli, tagliolini with mushrooms, mixed roasts, French fries, and a selection of fried mushrooms, plus dessert and coffee. The first courses were generous and of good quality. The second course left something to be desired: the mixed roasts were sliced ​​very thin, like prosciutto. It's true that they come back to ask if they need more, but slices more suited to a roast would have been appreciated. The French fries are standard, and the fried mushrooms are good, but as mentioned, they were just a sample. Overall, recommended for anyone passing through. I'm not sure I'd go there specifically to visit.

01/09/2025: We stayed here over the Ferragosto weekend. Specifically, we were camping at the Isera refuge. I recommend combining your stay with lunch or dinner at the Orchidea. It has a timeless charm and a menu that never tires. We ordered a delicious first course with mushrooms, pasta with meat sauce, and a pizza. The desserts were also very good; I ordered the crème caramel. I recommend it!

05/10/2025: Spacious, rustic-style setting with a lovely collection of coffee makers on display. Home-style cooking for both fish and meat dishes, generous portions, and good flavors. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating, but a bit slow. Ample parking and reasonable prices. They also serve pizza in a wood-fired oven. It's worth a visit, though.

13/09/2025: Splendid, high-quality products: cured meats, cheeses, ready-made dishes, tordelli... Excellent platters. You can purchase specialty products, typical of the area, such as pepper cake and biroldo. Definitely worth a visit for lunch or dinner. Closes at 8:30 PM.

23/08/2025: A very simple place, with quick and friendly service. The appetizer was excellent, with zucchini flowers and truly remarkable fried onion rings. The tagliatelle with mushrooms and tordelli with ragù were delicious. The price was fair for the quality and deliciousness of the food. I've already recommended them to friends who are passing through the area.

04/03/2025: I went in by chance and decided to have an ice cream – and I was satisfied. It was really good and I really liked it. Usually, in winter, when ice cream is bought less often, preservatives are added that affect its flavor. I didn't notice anything like that here: everything was fresh and natural. Price: €3.50 for 3 flavours.

21/02/2025: Ottimi prodotti, in alcuni gusti senza latte è possibile assaporare il naturale gusto, come per pistacchio, nocciola e cioccolato senza latte. Poi la cosa sorprendente è stata la gentilezza, il titolare si è tenuto il cono in mano durante il pagamento, mentre in genere ti lasciano con gelato, resto e portafogli.

14/09/2025: We ate here twice during our vacation, and the pizza is truly outstanding. Thin crust, super crispy, and generously topped. A 12 out of 10 for taste. :-) Very fair prices for drinks and pizza. Pizzas range from €10 to €16. For starters, we had a Caprese salad. It was served in a large bowl with two plates and plenty of pizza bread. If you want delicious food in a cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you.

Everything is of very high quality, and you can tell that everything is made fresh. The family who runs the pastry shop is very nice! The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy! We definitely recommend it!
