22/06/2025: In the summer of 2025, we stayed at Antica Casa Basari in Borgo Ticino and had lunch one day while touring around Lake Maggiore. It was a local restaurant recommended by Michele, the owner of Casa Basari, and the food was good and the atmosphere was good. It was lunchtime, so there were quite a few people, but the friendly staff served us quickly, so we had a light lunch. I had seabass and my wife had dumplings. We had a healthy, delicious pre-meal bread.

05/06/2025: Excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, the owner very kind and cordial in his simplicity and affability. We will definitely return.

07/05/2025: I was staying in this neighborhood and was absolutely hungry. All the Italian places were not open, or kitchens were yet to open, I couldn't wait that much and had to find anything that was open and in walking distance. I found this place and truth be told I had zero expectations, didn't read any reviews or anything before, just went in and ordered a bunch of stuff. Everything turned out to be very tasty, I especially enjoyed the gyoza. I do recommend this place if you are looking for an Asian restaurant in Lucca.

13/05/2025: Vengo aquí una vez cada 10 semanas aproximadamente, ya que estoy en la zona por trabajo y siempre tengo una noche libre para mí, es solo un corto paseo de mi hotel. La señora que siempre me atiende y dirige el lugar no habla mucho inglés y para mi vergüenza, a pesar de trabajar para una empresa italiana durante muchos años, mi italiano es bastante pobre también! Espero que ella lea esta reseña (a través de Google Translate ofc). La pizza es excelente aquí, es mucho mejor que cualquier cosa que obtenemos en el Reino Unido, los ingredientes y el sabor son maravillosos junto con las bases de corteza fina crujiente. Siempre tengo la bruschetta también, los tomates locales encantadores son para morir y podría sentarme y comerlo toda la noche! Y si mi amigo se pregunta por qué siempre dejo demasiado dinero, simplemente porque la comida y la bienvenida siempre valen más de lo que cobras.

05/01/2025: They are Calabrians from the province of Cosenza.. Places famous for the Sila mushrooms that are not missing among the large oil-packed mouths. The pizza is huge and very hot, not like the thin ones that are already cold after 2 minutes. The dough has risen for a long time, you notice it from the lightness. Typical Calabrians are the crushed olives, the spicy fish called sea rose, the use of scamorza instead of mozzarella, aubergines and peppers, the nduja which is the original one from Spilinga. I highly recommend it, remembering that for a few years they have only done take-away!

01/12/2024: A pizza that is a sensory experience. Excellent ingredients from scamorza to nduia with mushrooms in oil. It's a shame you can't eat in the restaurant anymore. And if for decades there was pizza waiting for us even an hour and a half/two there must be a reason 😂

14/04/2025: È la prima volta che faccio una recensione, ma ieri, sono stato in questo ristorante, festeggiavamo i 50 anni di matrimonio di mio zio. Che dire ? Top. Cameriere bravissime, padrona simpaticissima, cordialità, professionalità, piatti squisiti, pure se per il menu scelto, non fossero tra i miei preferiti, li ho mangiati con gusto. La carne era qualcosa di veramente speciale. Ma tutto lo è stato. Bravi bravi bravi. Super mega consigliato.

11/06/2025: Locale caratteristico con cucina tradizionale a scelta tra pesce e carni. Siamo già stati diverse volte e ci siamo sempre trovati bene. Prezzi adeguati, se provate il menu degustazione troverete una buona scelta e porzioni abbondanti.

08/02/2025: Point of reference for a beer! Small place but with a wide selection of Italian craft beers. It only serves beer and a few chips, the taps are constantly rotating. The owners are passionate and connoisseurs of beer, the staff is also smart and friendly. Well I got thirsty 🍻.

13/06/2025: Eccezionale ristorante nel centro storico di Pietrasanta materie prime di alta qualità,consiglio come aperitivo le loro patatine fritte con una bollicina . Tutto il menù merita abbinata a lista assortita di vini.

24/03/2025: Truly an unexpected discovery. When love and passion for cooking take shape in the most unexpected places, pleasure and admiration are even deeper. Nice, informal place, with a beautiful fireplace. We tasted 3 first courses: traditional local tortelli, very well made with a truly perfect ragù, tagliatelle with rabbit sauce, truly intense and without "compromises for the diet", duck "buttons" with orange cream, truly a masterstroke for idea, execution and enjoyment... all rigorously made (very well) at home. Really good house red wine, simple, genuine and undemanding. The desserts do not disappoint: tart with fig and walnut jam (good but not excellent), chestnut flour crepes with Nutella, basically worth the trip alone. Silent and peaceful garden where we had an aperitif. Closing with a taste of the maraschino (crazy!!) produced by the chef we can reveal the excellent price of €57 for 2. If you fancy a few curves (not too many...) don't miss out on this corner of quality cuisine...

07/06/2025: A jewel in the center of the city of Lucca. Outdoor tables to fully enjoy the beauty of this city having an aperitif but also a good lunch or dinner enjoying good dishes of the Lucca cuisine. And if you want to stay light you can have a tasty salad. Young but very professional staff will make you feel at home. We went with our German shepherd to have an aperitif, but we couldn't resist and we ordered a cutting board with excellent quality cold cuts and cheeses, accompanied by a warm and tasty focaccia! Not to mention the bruschetta!!! More than fair prices considering the quality of the raw materials and the location. Thank you and ..... see you soon!!!

07/06/2025: I go every day!!! From breakfast to aperitif and dinner it is an environment where you will definitely feel good! All the guys are special and make you feel at home accompanying you with their professionalism and friendliness, in addition to kindness and availability for any request. Name them all is a feat! But I cannot help but mention those with whom I have the most confidence and familiarity! Valentina with her spectacular macchiato or cappuccino and Andrea usually accompany my breakfasts! Edoardo and Alex my fabulous aperitifs! In the dining room mainly Megli, Chanel, Nicole, Alessandro and last but not least my exceptional Roberta!!!! Plus the only place on the main street of my splendid city to boast such a large outdoor space!!! So what else to say…..highly recommended!!!!!
