22/07/2025: Family owned and always have been friendly and kind. Great negroni, excellent tuna salad. My favorite salad and although it is not on the menu, chef prepared it especially for me. Grazie mille! Last time we visited, my husband had the pici aglioni, he absolutely loved this dish and said that it was comparable to Michelin quality and taste. We both are discriminate and picky with quality, taste and service. Tinto Bar has become one of our favorite places to get excellent food, strong drinks and service with a smile. Highly recommend! 2nd Review So sad. Took train in a rush to Tinto Bar for my favorite tuna salad. No tuna in the salad??? Asked about it and barely a spoon of watery tuna was thrown on top and server said it was all the tuna they had. Canned mushrooms, canned onions, what???? Charged for a full tuna salad even after reminding the cashier that there was no tuna in the salad. Husband had spaghetti with garlic. Pasta wasn't cooked and no garlic flavor. 2 spritz were always 5€ and were charged 6€. Extremely sad and disappointed. The son chef takes so much care with his food preparation but he wasn't in the kitchen today. Cashier was uncaring and rude.

09/10/2025: I can't review the food/ambiance, only the service, since we weren't able to dine there. We booked a dinner for seven people a week in advance. We showed up promptly at eight o'clock to find it closed, with no external notice. There was no answer on the phone. The next day, we were told that the person who had taken the reservation had forgotten to note it. And on the night of the dinner, despite it being a scheduled opening day, the restaurant was inexplicably closed. What else can I say? Professionalism, lacking.

09/10/2025: I can actually say very little about this place, except that, after having booked a table for 7 people a week in advance for a birthday dinner, when we went outside the restaurant, we found it completely closed and no notice on the door. The next day we asked for an explanation which was as follows: "We only had you and we decided to stay closed"... Seriousness and professionalism are no small things, perhaps we need to ask ourselves why they had no one else and yet the other restaurants in the city were full, so never again!!!

01/06/2025: Mi capita spesso di fermarmi in questo bar, perché è in strada per andare al lavoro. Ogni spiacevolmente impressionato dei prezzi, prezzi molto cari che però non vanno di pari passo con la qualità. La pasticceria non è male i salati niente di che. Non c’è un po’ di cura e l’imbottitura dei sandwich è molto scarso. Nota ancora più dente parte del personale, soprattutto per la lentezza del servizio. Penso che con un’affluenza del genere dovrebbe essere aggiunta almeno una persona. Perciò, se vi capita, fermatevi, ma non vi aspettate niente di che.

20/11/2025: The location is really central and there's plenty of parking nearby (though there's a lot of traffic and it's not always available). The atmosphere is warm and pleasant, the savory and sweet treats are delicious, and they even have gelato. 😋 The owner, Erika, is not only very nice and kind, but also knows how to use the coffee machine! The services are available and clean, also accessible to those with disabilities. The prices are fair. I'll leave a few photos. Recommended 👍

10/12/2025: We celebrated our daughter's graduation for lunch. We had a wonderful time, both for the pizzas, schiacciata, and desserts, and for the hospitality. We had a reservation for 12:00, but since we finished well in advance, they still seated us. Excellent place! We recommend it.

The attention to those with food intolerances or vegetarian diets is also greatly appreciated: tailor-made dishes are equally tasty and carefully crafted. I absolutely recommend this place—I'll gladly return!

We ate here for 10 days straight, and every day was a surprise: the dishes were always different, meticulously prepared, and truly delicious. She—who does everything, from cooking to serving—is a force of nature: welcoming, attentive, and genuine. You can feel the passion and love she puts into her cooking in every dish. A rare place, where you feel at home and eat better than at home. Highly recommended for those seeking authenticity and true flavors.

12/01/2026: Good morning, I'm sharing my experience as a truck driver. I stopped at around 9:15 a.m., specifically at a café espresso. I asked for the shower keys. After a long wait at the counter, the very kind lady told me they didn't take care of the showers and to check if there was hot water. I went down to the bathrooms and, on the lady's advice, checked if there was hot water. But to my great disappointment, I discovered only cold water. I thank the management for their organization and for the service they provide to truck drivers. I wish the management a good day.

09/01/2026: The lady at the cash register was very rude and didn't let us pay by card while the POS was active, because she said it was company guidelines, scandalous.

03/01/2026: Excellent, very characteristic little restaurant just off the lively medieval streets of Cortona. The entrance is just across from the theater tavern, with a small window display. The decor is typical of village taverns, with a wide selection of wines and an à la carte menu featuring a few dishes, all typical of the area. The pici, Chianina beef tartare, and the lemon cake of the day are excellent. The service from the two young staff is friendly, and the chef is excellent. The restrooms and restaurant are very clean. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations (not even from people they know). Arrive just before the standard lunch and dinner times.

06/10/2025: We stumbled upon this small restaurant by chance during a visit to Cortona. The ambiance and service were fine. What was a bit disconcerting were the small portions and the high prices. Each of us had a small piece of lasagna (palm-sized, small hands) and a small beer and a Coke. We spent €30, but we weren't really full. A shame.

19/08/2025: Well, a pizza to forget. The place is worth it because it's fresh, and in addition to pizza, they serve good steaks with potatoes. The bill, paid in cash, is confusing and approximate. I'll avoid returning, and maybe see you next year.
