15/07/2026: I had dinner with my family at this restaurant. The welcome was warm and friendly, the place was nice, but the food was a little disappointing, especially the first course with pistachio pesto and shrimp, which was literally drowned in oil and too heavy. The rest of the meal was average. Considering this, the quality/price ratio wasn't good (too expensive for what we ate). On the plus side, the staff was always friendly and helpful.

14/07/2026: Everything was perfect. The dishes showcased the chef's professionalism. The service was also professional. The view was wonderful! Prices were higher than average. Recommended.

26/07/2026: Finding a place where you can eat excellently is fantastic, but finding a place where the hospitality and courtesy are unparalleled really makes all the difference. At Sicilia Nostra in Carlentini, we were greeted with extraordinary kindness. What I appreciated most of all was the treatment given to my dog: the waiters were wonderful, very accommodating, and even tried to play with him to make him feel comfortable. Even though we always leave prepared, the staff had the thoughtfulness and kindness to immediately bring us a bowl of water, then asking if we needed more. A rare gesture of thoughtfulness that demonstrates great professionalism and sensitivity. Moving on to the food: the pizza was excellent, without a doubt among the best I've eaten in the last year! Perfect dough and quality ingredients. It was truly a wonderful discovery and will definitely become a regular spot for us. We'll be back very soon! Highly recommended!

26/07/2026: Four of us had dinner, ordering two fried fish dishes and four fish-based first courses. The food was good, but for the price, I expected more. The fried dish, consisting of a bed of lettuce leaves, a lemon wedge, two squid rings and two tentacles, two shrimp, and four battered vegetables, costing €22 a plate, is unacceptable. The first courses were good, with just the right amount of pasta, but lacking in fish. Basically, you pay for the fish and smell it. 14/07/2026: ★★★★★ Fantastic Meal in the Heart of Ortigia We had a wonderful dining experience at Macallè Sicilian Bistrot in Ortigia. The tasting menu was outstanding — a genuine showcase of Sicilian cuisine done with real skill and care, course after course. The wine selection deserves special mention — a great lineup of Etna Rosse that paired beautifully with the food and gave us a real taste of the local terroir. A special thank you to Mauricio, who took great care of us throughout the meal and made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Macallè if you're looking for an excellent meal in Ortigia — this was one of the standout dining experiences of our Sicily trip.

11/08/2026: A truly perfect evening in Noto! My wife and I agree: we've never eaten such exceptionally good pizza. The pizza dough, in particular, was something special – incredibly aromatic, airy, and yet wonderfully crispy. We learned upon inquiry that the dough rests for a full 70 hours. You can taste this passion and care in every single bite! The service was also warm, attentive, and exceptionally child-friendly. Our children were immediately given something to color and felt very comfortable. To finish, we had a tiramisu that was just as exceptionally delicious as the pizzas. An evening we will certainly never forget. For us, an absolute culinary highlight in Noto and an unqualified recommendation! We would come back anytime. No matter how many times you've eaten pizza before, try the pizza here. That's what we say, as we ate pizza every single day during our vacation.

10/07/2026: A very enjoyable lunch at this restaurant. Sat outside in sunshine and had a wonderful lunch with wine. Service excellent and food delicious. A lovely atmosphere created by the staff and locals who ate there.

10/07/2026: We spontaneously dropped by for lunch – without a reservation – and received an incredibly warm welcome. From the very first moment, we felt welcome and at ease. The food was simply delicious! We all enjoyed our meal immensely and had a truly wonderful time. We'd especially like to commend the service: The owner's son, who told us (with a wink) that his mother is still the boss, was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm. You can immediately tell how much passion goes into what goes into this place. As a special treat, he even recommended a fantastic winery for a wine tasting. We took him up on his suggestion right away, and it was another wonderful experience – thank you so much! The ambiance is also simply stunning and invites you to linger. All in all, a perfect visit – a definite 10/10 from us. We'd love to come back again and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

And the food… everything is made fresh to order with top-quality, high-quality ingredients. You absolutely must try the tuna… it's simply divine! There's something for everyone. 11/06/2026: Sorry for this somewhat negative review, but the coldness of the waitress or the owner, I'm not sure, didn't exactly inspire confidence. And to top it all off, as a passionate caponata lover (I'm sure you'll find the Palermo version made with eggplant, capers, olives, tomato, onions, and pine nuts), I got a simple frita, or ratatouille of peppers, whatever you want to call it, nothing else. When I asked, they told me that's how it's made in Syracuse, but I know it's not. I know the one in Catania is different from the one in Palermo, but there's still eggplant in it. Very disappointed, sorry.

20/04/2026: sad to say, but by far our worst meal here. Fish was cold and not good, even the stray cats didn’t want to eat the leftovers. Fried artichoke was cold and inedible, impossible to eat. The owners kids ran around kicking a soccer ball in and out of the restaurant the whole time and threw these spark things on the ground that made loud bangs. We didn’t have silverware or napkins and kept having to ask for basic things like that or grab them from neighboring tables. Very overpriced too. The staff is nice but would pass on the food sadly. :(

08/05/2026: Excellent trattoria for the price. The restaurant is clean and simple. The spaghetti with clams and macaroni alla norma are excellent, with generous portions. The staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming.

13/02/2026: Good, nice, and cheap. The beef was tender and flavorful, grilled to perfection. The side vegetables and fries were delicious. The pasta alla Norma and the gnocchi with béchamel sauce and sausages were perfectly cooked. The waitresses were very friendly. The price was more than reasonable. We'll be back.

10/02/2026: Had an occasional business lunch during a trip to Sicily. The food was excellent, simple but very well prepared and tasty. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming and definitely informal. It's worth a try.

06/07/2026: The best gluten-free pizza I've ever had. I'm gluten intolerant and had no problems with this dough. Soft, tasty, and crispy crust.
