14/07/2024: In occasione della vacanza in Sicilia abbiamo mangiato in questo locale nella splendida cornice di Siracusa. Parliamo di una trattoria dove lo chef e titolare del locale realizza delle portate tradizionali eseguite splendidamente. La ricerca delle materie prime e molto curata e particolarmente sentita perché richiama l'etica del titolare ed è il fondamento dei piatti del ristorante. Il prezzo estremamente competitivo in relazione alla qualità e alla ricerca che abbiamo trovato nelle nostre pietanze La cucina è tipica e prevalentemente a base di pesce. Ancora complimenti, grazie per la bella esperienza.

01/08/2024: Excellent family-run fish restaurant. The fish was very fresh and the kitchen knows how to enhance the product in the dishes. Their pasta ro 'saracenu is simply sublime. The raw material is remarkable and there are no ingredients that dominate the others, a sign that there has been a lot of work done on the recipes. Fabulous raw local prawns. Nice find! Very friendly and nice staff.

03/09/2024: Dinner for 6 people. We ate 3 different appetizers, 4 first courses, 2 second courses and 2 desserts. Dishes with refined ingredients and balance, all delicious. Honorable Mention: - Amberjack carpaccio, - Tuffoli with tuna ragù, tuna bottarga and saffron cheese fondue - Seared tuna, - Carob tart, - Creme brulé. All first courses are available with gluten-free pasta. My celiac wife had a lot of variety to choose from. It's always a pleasure to see a restaurant that works so well, even more beautiful to see it in the south. We will definitely be back.

01/09/2024: The restaurant is located inside a small, typically Sicilian, air-conditioned courtyard, the tables are well set, the staff is truly trained and professional. The choice of dishes, if you don't have a specific preference, is guided and recommended by the owner , also based on the catch of the day. We opted for a fish-based dinner, the raw fish was fantastic, the flavor of the fish was incredible, the tempura excellent, the fresh raw tuna on a very delicate pepper base; all accompanied by two glasses of really good local wine. We concluded with the carob tart... divine!!! Excellent value for money, highly recommended!!!!!

02/08/2024: The pizza was great! The wine suggestion too. On the other hand, I was sitting next to the bar and seeing two waiters scowling during service or even arguing with each other is not a great atmosphere (again - we are next to the bar).

30/07/2024: The best pizza of my life. The head waiter was helpful and kind in everything. The staff is very well prepared. Wood-fired oven with visible preparation counter that offers a spectacle that immediately becomes art for lovers of real pizza. Not too noisy, clean and cheerful atmosphere, place always full so I recommend booking. Top quality ingredients and dough, get advice on which is the best choice for you as we did also in the case of children, we trusted and the advice was more than right. They deserve a prize and more valorization. A place in the heart. See you soon.

16/08/2024: Fantastic evening!! We took the fisherman's menu and the goodness of the dishes cannot be described!! Excellent raw materials, not to mention the wines! All accompanied by explanations from the Sultana family ❤️ a truly exceptional experience

13/08/2024: Overall a pleasant situation: truly excellent, thoughtful and effective food, all as a side dish to this tasting of home-produced wines. A peculiarity: you can see and feel the family management! Moderate prices for a "tasting" that has nothing to envy of a dinner! Situations like this deserve much more space, I'm curious to come back and discover what's new from the Sultana family! Good luck!

29/08/2024: Don't let the name fool you and immediately forget the good Peppone of Guareschi's memory. The (Don) Camillo in question is Camillo Guarneri, great chef and founder. together with his son Giovanni who inherited his father's skills and expert touch in the kitchen and is currently the "soul" of the kitchens aided by a talented team. In the historic center of Syracuse, specifically in Ortigia, the enchanting and enchanted island colonized by the Greeks in 733 BC, on the beautiful Via della Maestranza site, full of baroque magnificence, the historic venue, in business since 1985, is housed on the ground floor of an ancient stately building; the interior is simply enchanting, for those who love classic furnishings, in a space that makes the most of it, putting the magnificent original vaulted structures in "naked" view made with local stone, Syracuse stone, the color of honey ; the furnishings are in harmony, sober and elegant, with fine furniture, exposed wine shelves, lighting fixtures and paintings in harmony with the room. The elegant tables are comfortable and well spaced, the background music is pleasant and at the correct volume, the toilets are impeccable. The welcome is the best (it may happen that Giovanni himself welcomes you), a very polite and elegant lady does the honours, the head nurse and the collaborators, elegantly dressed, are courteous and immediately put you at ease: professionalism is guaranteed . The beautiful menu, printed on fine paper (on the cover, a portrait of Camillo by Salvatore Fiume), offers some very interesting tasting itineraries and, obviously, the classic "à la carte menu". The proposals are not very many, and this speaks in favor of the restaurant, and are divided into a select choice of dishes based on sea and land, made with selected raw materials and brought in from the surrounding area which, in various respects, offers a lot . The dishes are well plated in quality services, the bread, of different qualities, is prepared in the restaurant kitchens; unmissable, in the opinion of the writer, are the Spaghetti delle Sirene with sea urchins and prawns: a masterpiece, conceived way back in 1989 and always proposed again (season permitting), whose smell alone reconciles with the world and with the smells and flavors of the generous sea Syracusan. This is just a suggestion: I invite readers to discover the other dishes, from appetizers to desserts. The selection of wines, including international ones, is vast and very satisfying, for every taste and for connoisseurs: the "by the glass" proposals are good, well balanced in the choice. What to say in conclusion? Surely Don Camillo is a safe "landing place" in Syracuse, and an absolute certainty of quality and a satisfying culinary experience: the price is absolutely reasonable for everything the beautiful place offers that, when I am passing through Syracuse (a city that I also love because it was my birthplace), I don't hesitate to visit.

24/08/2024: It is not possible to give more than 5 stars as a sign of appreciation. It's a shame.... we went twice in a few days trying different dishes and nothing was extraordinary... absolutely not to be missed is the spaghetti delle siren, a rightly iconic dish.... excellent wine list with the right quality/price ratio, compliments to the owners and all the staff

05/08/2024: We were one of the first guests outside. The starter was very tasty! However, the main course took almost 2 hours to arrive... Guests who arrived later received their main courses before us. Food: we couldn't eat at the same time because everyone received their food at a different time. A few minutes is not a problem, but in this case three out of five were already finished and two more meals were missing. The entrecôte was terribly tough, the fish was different than ordered. The carbonara is rather below average, with unchewable skin on the guancale. But the worst thing about it was that the waitress, who had previously spoken to us in English, suddenly only knew Italian and didn't even apologize.

12/08/2024: A culinary experience of the royal class! We had the pleasure of dining at Donna Patrizia recently and it was an experience I won't forget. From the first minute we were greeted by the extremely friendly chef Giuseppe, who looked after us excellently throughout the evening. Each surprise dish was not only a visual work of art, but also an absolute delight in terms of taste. The ingredients were fresh and regionally sourced and perfectly balanced. Giuseppe explained the individual components to us after each course and impressed us with his sophistication and creativity. Giuseppe also provided excellent advice when selecting the wine and recommended a wine that went perfectly with our menu. Overall, our visit to the Donna Patrizia restaurant was an unforgettable experience. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for excellent cuisine at very fair prices and warm people. Thank you Giuseppe!!!

20/08/2024: Bad experience... I ordered an assortment of meat, disgusting overcooked meat, a sole... My family ordered a fish dish. The fish wasn't even scaled. One dish didn't even arrive as we neared the end of the meal (see photo). We ordered four starters and only received two. Bad, very bad experience. I hope that at the end, the bill will not include the unserved main course and the two unserved starters.

20/08/2024: Very authentic restaurant with a big selection of food. Service was impeccable and prices are very reasonable. Overall this was a very enjoyable dinner and we highly recommend people to visit this place. Will surely be back.

16/08/2024: Pizzeria discovered during the stay in Cassibile. I definitely recommend theerbazzone (typical pizzolo) as well as the classic margherita and the mare nostrum (TRULY FRESH seafood pizza). I have returned several times because this place offers very high quality, tasty and well-made pizza, as well as an absolutely noteworthy catering service from the staff. We will be back with great pleasure!
