20/05/2025: Visiting Noto during the flower festival was an exciting but at the same time slightly overwhelming experience. Rather than being crammed in with a load of tourists I places with pretty views and mediocre or overpriced food, we searched for somewhere slightly off the beaten track that promised authentic cuisine and super fresh seafood. Situated in a slightly unpromissing 1960s residential piazza, thus fishmongers come Trattoria is a delightful oasis of calm and wonderful home style food (assuming your home cook is a genius Sicilian). Do not expect glamour, but polite and gentle service, very generous portions and the freshest seafood you could possibly ask for. Started from €10 and Mains from about €16. The Octopus was stunning and the fritto misto one of the best I have ever had. Bravo to the owners, Chef and attentive waiting staff. We will return and recommend you to our friends.

17/05/2025: We found it by chance at midday on the first day of the Infiorata di Noto, since we had a good time we also returned for dinner, kind and hospitable staff, excellent and fresh food, I highly recommend coming if you are in the area.

21/05/2025: Not just a pastry shop, the place is also perfect for lunches and aperitifs, everything is really of the highest quality. It did not disappoint my high expectations!

13/05/2025: Siamo venuti in questo locale pensando di essere un posto carino, accogliente e che potesse farci sentire a casa. Mi sbagliavo!! Prezzi aggiuntivi sul preconto, la signora che chiedeva ai paganti “I need cash” , giochetti fatti per ridare indietro meno resto. Veri e propri furti, come rovinare il nome di ristoratori che fanno questo lavoro con amore e che il loro obiettivo è soddisfare la clientela e non derubarla!! Avviso alle persone, in particolare agli stranieri, non fatevi fregare, non fermatevi! L’apparenza…. Inganna !

03/01/2025: There were 4 of us who went on a Tuesday evening, arriving a little late due to the parking being unobtainable...welcomed I think by the owner who made us sit immediately, a nice person and absolute owner of the room, we had appetizers and first courses served with the right amount of anticipation and certainly everything freshly prepared! Let's say that the environment is very particular because it is in a small alley, but in the end it is a highly recommended place... strong flavours, excellent gnocchi filled with standard ricotta.

30/12/2024: Ho scelto questo ristorante per un pranzo in occasione di un soggiorno a Noto, per le ottime recensioni lette. Le recensioni sono state confermate. Ha pochi tavoli tutti all’aperto quindi consiglio di prenotare ed è aperto solo in estate fino ad autunno inoltrato. Tornando al pranzo tutto ottimo, abbiamo preso due primi io e mio marito da leccarsi i baffi. Se torno a Noto vado a pranzare o cenare dalla signora Ada, perfetta padrona di casa

24/04/2025: I have gone here on a few occasions due to its impractical location; the external space is quite small, so it fills up easily and the logistics of the place do not allow internal tables. Of course it's not the owners' fault, but unfortunately you find yourself surrounded by confusion and cars entering or leaving Viale Risorgimento. I didn't happen to try the rotisserie but if there is one strong point that this bar really deserves is its granita. "Few but good" is the expression that best suits their tastes. Few places in Augusta can compare. I'm a bit sorry about the rating but it must be recognized that they offer what they can in my opinion.

01/06/2025: Met by chance, walking through the streets of Ortigia, we stopped for dinner and were very satisfied with their excellent braciolettine messinesi and their caponata, very delicate but super tasty. Highly recommended!!!

27/05/2025: A place specialized in "bracciolettine" alla messinese, both meat and fish. This is the reason why I went there and I was satisfied. A skewer costs €8. If you take 2 skewers, the cost is €14. For my tastes they are a simple and good product that is served on dark palettes. I have attached a couple of photos, respectively with three skewers and with a single skewer The salads, which I also tasted, are also very good. The place is located in the immediate vicinity of Piazza Duomo in Syracuse, and precisely in a side street of Via Cavour. There are tables both inside and outside the place (not many in truth). Personally I suggest having lunch (or dinner) outside, in the open air.. The service is very courteous

25/03/2025: The planned stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing for many reasons. The double room was very small, anonymous, without furniture and with a small and uncomfortable walk-in closet for two people, not to mention the terrible smell of mold. The bathroom was always not very clean and the shower tray was broken!!! The gym was a simple "COLD" room, in every sense, with few tools and not all of them usable (in the morning I had to turn on the lights, the hot air and the tools myself)!!! The "EMBARRASSING" SPA, very dirty, tiny, boring, unkempt and unstaffed. The food was decent, but the Owner managed to ruin the only positive side of her hotel, with her lack of empathy and often rudeness. The Lady Owner with the blond bob, on the last day had the courage to offer us sandwiches to take away FOR A PAYMENT!!!! I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels (including in San Vigilio), but this 4-star one only has the (imposing) external appearance of the structure, but above all THE HIGH BILL! Before booking I read many positive reviews from other customers, but this time I was wrong to trust strangers who were probably used to being satisfied. PS. UPDATE POST RESPONSE FROM THE HOTEL GUEST: read their response carefully to REALLY understand WHO YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH AND THE SERVICE YOU WILL FIND IN THIS STRUCTURE. GOOD LUCK

03/06/2025: To start this review, I must comment on the dishonest business practices of this hotel after a very poor stay, the worst we have ever encountered in Italy. We left the hotel after one night of a three night booking. The room was significantly below the standard for a 4 star hotel. After leaving the hotel, the hotel called me and offered a refund of "50% of the third night" of our stay and sent the attached legal release of claims. If you read the document, you will see that they offered 300 Euro for a gag order so that I could not post a review on Trip Advisor or any other site. They had this legal document ready to go and clearly use this strategy to "buy off" guests with bad experiences to make their reviews look better online. There was never any contrition from the hotel for our bad experience and in my many years of travelling I have never encountered this lack of integrity and total disregard for whether we actually enjoyed our stay. I would prefer that other travellers are able to avoid this hotel and its manager. We paid 1400 euro for a three night stay in May for a Double with Seaview including parking. It was a very hot stay and the air conditioning did not work properly in the room. The vents were incredibly dusty and the filter clearly had not been cleaned in some time. We requested a fan from the desk three times and were refused. Overall the room was dirty and dingy and stuffy with poor air quality. The mattress was incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable and we struggled to sleep our one night there. The linens felt like plastic. The room was much smaller than the photos online and it was difficult for two people to move around. Many of the fixtures in the room and bathroom were cracked, chipped, and very worn. In sum, the room was very worn, dated, and needs refurbishment. The hotel also full charged my stay 3 weeks ahead of time despite their policy only being 7 days prior to arrival, a further dishonest business practice, coupled with a no cancellation policy (which can be waived by a hotel but which they chose to enforce). We returned to our prior hotel in Noto where we had excellent service and were able to salvage the remainder of our trip. Stay clear of any hotel asking you for a GAG ORDER and having such little respect for their guests. With so many options in the area, you should skip this hotel.

05/05/2025: The hotel is incredibly well located. It is old and has a lot of charm. Reception is excellent. Very helpful. Recommendations for dinner were excellent. Breakfast is great. You can order a hot item from the kitchen and or enjoy the excellent buffet. There were some special treats at breakfast. Overall, all things considered, would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

10/01/2025: Frequento questo pub da moltissimi anni. Ogni volta che ci ritorno è come fare un viaggio nel passato, un tuffo nell' epoca dei pub old stile, ormai rimasti davvero pochi... Posto accogliente, personale sempre gentile, ben frequentato, qualità del cibo ottimo e ottima la selezione di birre e bevande. Mi auguro duri ancora a lungo
