12/03/2026: Tonight was a truly wonderful experience for my daughter and I. We chose to dine at this restaurant, which thrilled us with its exquisite dishes—unique and truly regal! We really appreciated the sommelier, Kevin the Dominican, who welcomed us and guided us through our selection of dishes with great care and professionalism! I highly recommend it.

26/04/2026: On the beautiful island of Ortigia, we had a very delicious and high-quality lunch. I ordered a Diavola pizza, and my husband chose a four-cheese pizza. As expected in Catania and the surrounding areas, the quality of the ingredients was excellent. The pizza dough was baked perfectly neither burnt nor undercooked, just right. It could have been even better with a bit more tomato sauce, so the tangy flavor would spread more evenly across the crust. As for my husband’s pizza, it was flawless. Honestly, I could easily give this meal a perfect score, but to be fair, there’s always room for improvement. So my rating is 4.5 out of 5.☺️❤️ The staff were very kind, polite, and highly professional.🙏❤️ One small note: if you’d like to leave a tip, it can only be given in cash and cannot be added to the bill. There is absolutely no obligation to tip just something to be aware of. Wishing you continued success and great quality🥰☺️

17/09/2025: Fantastic atmosphere, the ambiance of the place, its decor, communicative, polite, smiling and helpful team, tasting the dishes served was pure pleasure, really worth it!

16/09/2025: Walk up the street from Archimedes Square... look around, turn your head to the left and luck will smile on you! At the end of a pretty little courtyard, a Chiodo waits patiently for you. The welcome is warm, the service very professional, the dishes very well cooked with good local products. Thank you again for this great lunch (I forgot the stylish decor and the interesting choice of wines).

12/05/2026: Great place to eat on the far side of town away from all the bussiness with some low key music. Delicious food and good vibes 🤙. All the food was good, but the Zuppa di Cozze (mussel soup) and the Polpo grigliato con purè di patate e insalata mista (grilled octopus with mashed potatoes) was out favorites. Both were cooked well and not chewy. But, nothing was bad either! I didn't notice till after, but they do have some outdoor seating on the side of the restaurant, so you can eat outside while not being next to traffic.

10/05/2026: Walking along the long Ortigia overlook, I came across this small restaurant and bar. Its semi-hidden simplicity enticed me in, even though I had very little time for lunch. The few tables were all full, except for one that a young American woman kindly shared with me, which led to a delightful exchange and company. I ordered an excellent orange, fennel, and sun-dried tomato salad with herbs, a very fresh octopus salad, and a swordfish risotto, which was presented as a large half-rice ball surrounded by herbs, fried, hollowed out, and filled with swordfish cubes topped with a delicious and delicate herb sauce. Everything was very good, and the price was €31.40 with coffee, water, and a cover charge, just right for the portion size and quality of the food. I highly recommend it; it's a restaurant that serves unusual and tasty dishes.

17/04/2026: We stopped for a coffee, but we quickly gave in to temptation and ordered a tiramisu. It was DELICIOUS! The establishment also offers piadinas and local products that look to be of high quality. Very friendly service!

09/05/2026: The food is excellent and served with great kindness. I tried the delicious lupini tempeh with seasonal vegetables and kimchi, and for dessert I had a chocolate mousse with dates. They also brought me whole-wheat bread and organic olive oil. Highly recommended!

04/05/2026: The best Arancini Ragu I've ever had! Generously filled with sauce and oozing with cheese... a real treat! Truly! The others were a little less impressive but still very good (caccio e pepe and prosciutto). Counter service was fine, and there are a few tables outside for dining in.

24/04/2026: The pastry shop maintains a good level of quality (nothing better), but the renowned rosticceria has significantly declined. The famous arancini, which people used to buy from all over the city, are now unappetizing, frozen inside, repeatedly coated in breadcrumbs and boiling oil, with overcooked rice and a tasteless filling. The pastry is too oily, and the pizzas have a poorly risen and soggy dough.

04/05/2026: The place is elegant, very sophisticated: perhaps you're in Paris, perhaps in the 1930s. But the owner's welcome is so warm and friendly that you immediately feel at home. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, the combinations are unusual but spot-on, and the presentation is meticulous: the best locally sourced produce, even the "cart" of aromatic plants, all strictly potted!

19/04/2026: I loved Dada Bar! The cocktails were amazing, crafted by a real mixologist, Davide, who was also incredibly friendly. We had such a great time talking with him. The service and atmosphere were fantastic. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Ortigia.

02/05/2026: Honestly, I can't explain all these positive reviews. It's total chaos, and they absolutely don't know how to manage it. We waited outside for a table, but they basically sat down with the first person to arrive, without anyone checking for priority. At one point, they tried to squeeze us into a table in front of the door: the place is tiny, and, as often happens here in Ortigia, they put tables everywhere without any sense of purpose to increase the number of people. It seems like a classic family-run place, in the worst sense of the word: lots of improvisation and zero organization. We stood in front of the cash register for several minutes, dodged by employees and customers in the general hustle and bustle, with no one paying attention to us. Perhaps the staff is too small for all those people, but the fact remains that we left without trying anything. A truly awful experience.

01/04/2026: Very kind, friendly, clean. Delicious food with adequate portions. Quick service and the option to order something off the menu. Highly recommend. The only thing I gave the "ambience" rating 4 stars was the plaster on one section of the wall that absolutely needs to be redone. Otherwise, everything was fine!

28/03/2026: Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The bottled water we received appeared to contain impurities/bacteria, which we only noticed after being served and already drinking from it — something that is completely unacceptable. As for the food, the quality was very poor. The seafood pasta (with shrimp and clams) made me feel sick almost immediately after eating it. It tasted unpleasant and far from fresh. The pizza was burnt, and the grilled sea bream was served without any side dish at all, which was unexpected and underwhelming. Overall, the experience was disappointing both in terms of food quality and hygiene standards. I would not recommend this place.

13/04/2026: It was exceptionally good. I ordered "parcheri con spada melanzane e ciliegino," which is large pasta with swordfish, fresh tomatoes, crushed pistachios, raisins, mint, and pine nuts.
