05/07/2026: We had a "baciata in teglia" (a baked pizza), which was delicious: soft dough, crispy lettuce, and flavorful chicken. Truly top-notch. The place is quiet, and the waiters are friendly and very kind.
10/06/2026: A wonderful discovery! We arrived at 9:30 pm in the small square in front of the church and were warmly welcomed by the waiters, who spoke perfect English and were very attentive. The food was excellent; I highly recommend it!

09/05/2026: We ate here twice on our stay. Very authentically Sicilian family run restaurant. The meals were delicious, the service exemplary and much care was taken for the food. They also have a great wine list. Book early. The home made pistachio tiramasu and lemon tart were fabulous.

There's no better restaurant in our opinion!
30/06/2026: They saw us arrive with two children and even gave us dirty looks. We didn't even go inside; my husband waited outside in the doorway with my children while I went in to ask. A complete lack of tact. Very bad.

21/06/2026: We stopped by as a backup plan and thought it was great.
Getting a table spontaneously for a group of ten is anything but easy, so we asked without much hope. We were warmly welcomed and treated like royalty. I've never had a pizza like it before. The flavor was more sourdough than yeast, and the tomato sauce was a touch sweeter than what we're used to in Germany... but it was absolutely fantastic. We'll definitely remember it for a long time.

02/07/2026: A small restaurant in the heart of Ortigia. For those who want to try quality local food, this is the place to go. From the cheeses—superb ricotta—to the parmigiana, everything is excellent. The fine local wines are another reason to return. The owner is super friendly and helpful. The price is reasonable. We'll be back.

14/07/2026: "Caught cleverly" by Mr. Gaetano, we hesitantly enter the restaurant. The place is well-maintained, without any stylistic flaws. The welcoming greetings, accompanied by spontaneous smiles, and the typical Sicilian menu convince us to take a seat. Warm bread bites with oil and vinegar (on the house), mixed fried fish, egg fusilli alla norma, caponata, pasta with tomato sauce and French fries: all delicious, no complaints. We didn't have room for dessert, but the sweet couscous piqued our interest, so we must return. A digestif is offered. Prices are reasonable. A pleasant final chat with the lovely Mrs. Carola is a pleasure. Those lucky enough to linger beyond the main course can try it for themselves.

Tip: Don't skip the raw fish appetizer under any circumstances, but leave room for the pasta. You'll leave feeling rejuvenated.
