13/02/2026: Good, nice, and cheap. The beef was tender and flavorful, grilled to perfection. The side vegetables and fries were delicious. The pasta alla Norma and the gnocchi with béchamel sauce and sausages were perfectly cooked. The waitresses were very friendly. The price was more than reasonable. We'll be back.
10/02/2026: Had an occasional business lunch during a trip to Sicily. The food was excellent, simple but very well prepared and tasty. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming and definitely informal. It's worth a try.

24/04/2026: It's absolutely my favorite place to eat in Rosolini.
I'll tell you why, following the order of my perceptions:
1) You enter the osteria and find a welcoming setting: warm lighting, artwork decorating the walls, local products visible from the shelves. Excellent background music. In short: elegance and familiarity at the same time;
2) The amuse-bouche is a caress you don't expect, objectively, in an osteria: beautiful (!);
3) Extremely interesting menu: I would have literally tried everything. My impression is that there is a culinary research effort through the preparation and valorization of local products. The ingredients are extremely fresh and of the highest quality, but above all, refinement without starvation: the portions are truly generous;
4) Selection of serving dishes: this too is a form of attention. The serving dishes are all different, all beautiful, all selected specifically for the dish;
5) The wine list is structured according to my ideals. Clear, with precise recommendations. Here too, I see an effort to highlight the local area.
The girls serving are excellent at recommending wines to complement the dishes and are very attentive in the tasting.
6) The service deserves a special mention: the girls in charge are extremely kind, knowledgeable about the food and wines, have excellent service attitudes, and are skilled at finding the right balance between discretion and attentiveness.
7) Value for money: excellent. The average cost is 30-40 euros, but considering the quality and preparation of the dishes, the abundance of the dishes, and the overall experience, I'd say it's absolutely adequate.

19/05/2026: An informal evening with colleagues, topped off with excellent cuisine. From the sharing seafood appetizers to the main courses and dessert, everything was excellent. The service was impeccable, friendly, and empathetic, which is hard to find these days. The atmosphere is simple, but that doesn't hurt on these evenings. If you choose Faretto, you're choosing it for quality.
17/05/2026: I had bruschetta, which was very flavorful, well-seasoned, and therefore delicious. I only had to add a little extra salt because I had a higher salt craving that day.
The mixed salad with everything was also a delight—fresh, crisp, and very well-balanced. It's just a shame that the salad came without dressing, even in a restaurant that is certainly above average. Unfortunately, many restaurants in Italy miss out on valuable points with their customers, whom they could impress with a homemade salad dressing. So, here too, I had to order sugar separately from the provided ingredients for my dressing. A salad dressing without a balanced amount of sugar isn't a salad dressing. Or, as a general rule of thumb in cooking, where there's salt, there must also be sugar. You don't always have to taste it prominently; often it's enough if it just subtly enhances the flavor.
My main course was a Pizza Capricciosa—and finally, after three failed attempts, I got a classic Neapolitan pizza. It was thin, with a crispy crust and large air bubbles, but unfortunately, the oregano wasn't in the tomato sauce; it was sprinkled on top afterward. Since my previous pizzas here always lacked oregano, I specifically ordered it this time. So I can't say whether it would have been included by default. It's clear that if it were sprinkled on before baking, it would burn. That's why it belongs in the tomato sauce. This flavors the sauce and distributes the oregano aroma evenly across the pizza. In particular, the untopped areas around the edge would also get the expected, typical Italian pizza flavor. This would make the crust even more appealing.
For dessert, I chose a lemon mousse. Unfortunately, it was semi-frozen, but the flavor was a sweet highlight. A real mousse should be airy and light; this one had a consistency more like ice cream. As a result, when scooping out slices with a tablespoon, the pretty, round mousse practically squashed.
... I ordered two 0.33-liter Coca-Colas to drink.
The real highlight came with the bill. Including the two-euro cover charge, the total was a very reasonable 29 euros. I'll definitely be back.

A very warm welcome from the owners (Gina and Sebastiano), who are adorable, as is the person who served us at table.
All the products served come from the estate, which Mr. Sebastiano was kind enough to show us around (we wanted to go for a little jog), and all the food is homemade and delicious.
The setting is charming. The room is very pretty and spotless.
100% recommended.

12/10/2025: I happened to be in Rosolini and decided to have dinner at this place.
The food was delicious; I had a tartare and a really good carpaccio.
The drinks were also top-notch, with a selection of over 50 gins, explained thoroughly by the excellent staff.
19/09/2025: The staff is super nice and helpful. Although they don't specialize in vegetarian food, they offered us many delicious options. The location is very authentic. All in all we liked it very much 😊

11/01/2026: Sicilian cuisine with influences, revisited in a creative and surprising way, with carefully crafted and never boring dishes. We had the dining room all to ourselves, an added bonus that made the experience even more intimate and enjoyable.
The chef guided us through the dinner, explaining each course with great clarity, demonstrating passion and expertise, as well as genuine friendliness. At the end of the evening, we stayed for a very informal chat, and he even offered us a taste of a truly excellent local gin.
A unique, welcoming experience, and highly recommended.

06/02/2026: I don't usually write reviews of places I visit. But after suffering from severe food poisoning the night I ate a sandwich at this restaurant, it's abundantly clear that the food isn't stored properly and is likely sold past its expiration date. I would never recommend this place.
