06/03/2024: The location is excellent, with adjacent parking. The place is very welcoming. The dishes were of quality and very good. The downside was the service.. After receiving the second course, at 8.50pm, they abandoned us until 10pm, without taking away the dishes, without bringing the dessert we were waiting for (already paid for), without asking us if we would like anything else (in their interest). If it wasn't for the disappointing service, the evening would have been perfect.

08/03/2024: What a delightful dinner we had at Capriccio! We were on holiday in Ortigia where good restaurants were closed for winter; based on the Guide Michelin, we jumped on a train to Augusta and Capriccio. It was 5 of us, including our 3 young adult children, on the occasion of our daughter's 18th birthday. We all had the Tentazioni tasting menu and everything was somewhere between excellent and outstanding, including a very original, subtle, lightly sweet almond-based dessert, which reminded me of desserts I had in Japan. (Our daughter's dessert plate had a candle and 'Happy Birthday' on it!) One of us had dietary restrictions that we had communicated upon booking and were taken care of in a very smart, barely perceptible way. In an extensive wine list, we chose a Grillo from Pantelleria, which was superb. To make everything even more memorable, Cappricio's prices offer value for money that one cannot even dream of in a large European city. We exited just in time for the last train back to Siracusa!

26/02/2024: Ritornare al CAPRICCIO è sempre una piacevole esperienza nel mondo della cucina di classe. Dal benvenuto dell Chef si intuisce il percorso ricco di sapori straordinari. La focaccia di pesce crudo, limone e salsa al prezzemolo ti porta in riva al mare. A seguire il polpo con macco di fave ed indivia riccia. Croccante col cuore morbido. L'abbinamento al macco di fave è un tocco d'artista. Le linguine con cicale di mare e peperoni. Un accostamento che potrebbe sembrare azzardato. Invece il sapiente lavoro dello Chef rende un'armonia di sapori da provare. Una ombrina con crema di zucca e giardiniera di verdure delicatissima. Dessert all'altezza.Il tutto accompagnato da un servizio di sala e sommellier eccellenti. Rapporto quaità/prezzo indiscutibile.

Spaghetti with crab taken from the tank ALIVE and cooked, excellent local oysters... there was all the sea of ​​Sicily inside 🇮🇹 The owners were exquisite and helpful people, the mother in the kitchen told us a few anecdotes about Augusta and he cooked for us excellently.
