09/06/2025: Ho scoperto questo ristorante tramite THE FORK e devo dire che sono rimasta contenta. Ristorante situato all' interno dell' hotel , piccolo ed accogliente. Servizio ben curato , camerieri simpatici e molto professionali. La cucina è classica non posso dire "WOW" ma tutto molto buono .

23/06/2025: Update: Following your response, I would like to point out that telling you that it was “for taste” was gallantry, the fish was so bad that it made both me and my partner feel sick I would add that I felt unwell as soon as I left the restaurant and had diarrhea and vomiting by the time I got back to my accommodation… Do some soul searching and reread my review as a “food blogger” as you called it, I’ve paid you too many compliments. Respectful restaurants not only avoid charging for two menus when only one has been consumed out of disgust, but they also offer sincere and polite apologies… Original: Last night (it was a Sunday) I had dinner at U Palangaru with my partner. As soon as we arrived, the restaurant, in a pedestrian area, looked good, with a relaxing atmosphere and attentive staff. We tried an appetizer consisting of six different “tastes” that were very tasty. First course strozzapreti with prawns, delicious and a dish of linguine with swordfish and prawns; the latter, in addition to being full of parsley to hide the fish not being fresh, we sent it back because we didn't like it; the waiter asked us if we wanted to change the dish, but we gave up because we still had the fried fish as a second course, and having been warned from the beginning that the portions would be abundant. The second course was decent but not exceptional. We gave up on coffee and bitter that would have been included in the menu because we were already nauseated and unfortunately both in the evening and the next morning we both felt bad.. When it came to the bill I had to point out that a first course had been sent back, I was asked if it was a problem with the dish but I preferred to say that we hadn't liked the taste as previously explained; in any case we were charged for two menus, a complete one and a first course, but all in all for €60 I didn't even want to argue anymore. We definitely won't be returning to this place, too bad because the potential is great, all it would take is a little more attention to the kitchen since they certainly know what they're doing in the dining room. 02/06/2025: Non è un posto per famiglie. Arrivati chiediamo subito al cameriere di poter ordinare per i bimbi. Ci ignora per le prime 3 volte, alla quarta viene e segna tutto. Dopo un’ora non è ancora arrivato nulla, quindi arriva solo da mangiare per gli adulti, sollecitiamo ma nulla. Tutto arriva in ritardo. Ordini supplementari mai arrivati. Chiediamo il conto, ma per mezz’ora non accade nulla. Paghiamo alla cassa facendo pure la fila. Il cibo non male, ma era passato l’appetito. Da evitare!

25/03/2025: The planned stay at this hotel was unfortunately disappointing for many reasons. The double room was very small, anonymous, without furniture and with a small and uncomfortable walk-in closet for two people, not to mention the terrible smell of mold. The bathroom was always not very clean and the shower tray was broken!!! The gym was a simple "COLD" room, in every sense, with few tools and not all of them usable (in the morning I had to turn on the lights, the hot air and the tools myself)!!! The "EMBARRASSING" SPA, very dirty, tiny, boring, unkempt and unstaffed. The food was decent, but the Owner managed to ruin the only positive side of her hotel, with her lack of empathy and often rudeness. The Lady Owner with the blond bob, on the last day had the courage to offer us sandwiches to take away FOR A PAYMENT!!!! I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels (including in San Vigilio), but this 4-star one only has the (imposing) external appearance of the structure, but above all THE HIGH BILL! Before booking I read many positive reviews from other customers, but this time I was wrong to trust strangers who were probably used to being satisfied. PS. UPDATE POST RESPONSE FROM THE HOTEL GUEST: read their response carefully to REALLY understand WHO YOU WILL BE DEALING WITH AND THE SERVICE YOU WILL FIND IN THIS STRUCTURE. GOOD LUCK

19/06/2025: Una vera scoperta! Questo ristorante di pesce è una garanzia per chi ama la qualità e i sapori autentici del mare. Il pesce è freschissimo, cucinato con semplicità ma con grande maestria: si sente tutta la cura e l’esperienza dello chef in ogni piatto. Abbiamo assaggiato i crudi, e la degustazione di cotti , i primi di mare, e i dolci e ogni portata era una sorpresa di gusto e leggerezza. Porzioni generose, ingredienti di prima scelta. Il servizio è stato cortese e attento, senza essere mai invadente. Atmosfera rilassata, perfetta sia per una cena romantica che per una serata tra amici. Se amate il buon pesce, questo è un posto da non perdere. Ci tornerò sicuramente (e molto presto)!

13/06/2025: Cenato qui grazie ad un paesano che ce lo ha consigliato. Ristorante con una veranda carina e sala interna climatizzata. La location non è il punto forte, a mio parere un po' troppo sulla strada, e all'interno davvero troppa aria condizionata! Abbiamo chiesto di abbassarla e ci hanno detto che lo avrebbero fatto, ma credo che durante il servizio si siano dimenticati. Pazienza, colpa anche nostra non ricordarlo. Queste le cose "negative", completamente oscurate da un menù ricco e semplicemente squisito. Antipasto davvero vario e tutto ottimo. Pasta con tonno e spaghetti allo scoglio della moglie con davvero tanto pesce, ho molto apprezzato le porzioni. Prezzo in linea se non addirittura inferiore alle aspettative. Bravi! Nicola

17/10/2024: Old-fashioned bar, the best granita eaten in Sicily, absolutely natural made with fresh fruit by a very kind lady. I haven't found it this good even in the most renowned places

17/10/2024: Mon mari et moi même avons déjà dégusté des centaines de granités dans toute l Italie et toute la Sicile mais comme celle ci jamais . Ce bar est tenu par une famille qui continue à perpétuer la recette de leur grand mère ils font la granite avec des fruits frais que l on retrouve en petits morceaux pour certains parfums. Nous avons pris comme parfums figues et amandes . Ce fut un extrême moment de bonheur, des granités succulentes et en plus à un prix dérisoire.
