18/10/2025: I ate there once and was really satisfied. So, one evening I decided to order takeout. Unfortunately, I received a mini pizza that was passed off as a gourmet one—the Pistacchio Bis—and, to make matters worse, it didn't have burrata. I called to complain, and I must admit, they were honest: they brought me another one made from scratch. Tonight I ordered the same pizza for takeout again, and incredibly, the same thing happened: a mini pizza and no burrata. Honestly, I feel cheated. I don't think I'll order from here again.

01/10/2025: The gluten-free pizza was pathetic. Not only was the cheese plastic, which was completely missing, but the dough was also disgusting. I absolutely do not recommend it, and the pizza chef is incapable of making a pizza topping.

15/10/2025: Small place (max 45 people), but that's okay. Scaletta Zanclea is a small town on the Messina/Catania coast, run by a husband and wife team. Egidia works as a waitress, and Mario is the excellent pizza chef. The pizzas are varied, the dough is very good and easy to digest, and the price is reasonable. If you're passing through Scaletta Zanclea, take advantage of it. It's definitely worth the effort. 😉

14/09/2025: Yes, okay, a nice place with attentive staff. A good effort isn't really a good job. The pizza was okay (but not really more than that). My fish arrived when my husband had finished his pizza (which wasn't prepared in a flash, since most of the guests here seem to only eat pizza): a "local" fish (forgot the name), grilled, for a whopping €31.50 (!!!) for 450g – about 150 meters from the sea or the harbor. But it was prepared with absolutely insignificant flavor and without any refinement (spices, herb/garlic butter, etc.), not a separate plate for the bones! Along with a few thin slices of run-of-the-mill white bread, and for another €7, a small plate with a handful of thin slices of eggplant and zucchini (I'd completely skipped the tomatoes). Salt, pepper, and oil were only available upon request, and toward the end, the staff (several times!) took your plates from the table while you were still holding your cutlery and chewing, regardless of whether you might have wanted to eat the remaining bread with olive oil, for example. Friends of Italian cuisine: I can get a meal like this in the middle of Germany, in Munich, hundreds of kilometers from the nearest sea, much tastier, more lovingly prepared, and even cheaper – that's simply unheard of! Completely overpriced and overrated.

07/11/2025: Great service. We ordered a tuna salad, zucchini tart, and picanha steak. Everything was delicious. The only downside was the dessert, a "cheesecake" that was actually made with cream. If you like cream, great, otherwise you're better off ordering something else.

29/10/2025: We stumbled upon this restaurant last minute. Food was amazing. We sat outside, waiter was great, bar menu was great, food was wonderful. Highly recommend

15/11/2025: Had dinner at this pizzeria on a weekday. The service was excellent. The only flaw was the pizza being so soft that it was difficult to slice easily. The pasta frittata was good.

19/10/2025: In 2025, remaking an entire sandwich menu without including a vegetarian option is, to say the least, backward. Making those same sandwiches unchangeable (i.e., you can't have it without speck, for example) means excluding two people at a table of ten. Only one unimaginative pizza option; otherwise, the best pizzeria in Messina proves uninnovative and inattentive to a changing world and the fact that traditionally, food, at least in Sicily, has a strong plant-based component. It was very disappointing. I hope you'll consider updating, and I'll be happy to reconsider my opinion.

14/11/2025: We celebrated our son Emanuele's 18th birthday in this dream location on October 24, 2025. Every detail was meticulously designed, with large outdoor spaces, a beautiful and elegant indoor dining room, and a spacious and well-equipped kitchen. The "grotto" was a truly unforgettable natural spectacle. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks and compliments to Cristiana, who assisted me before and during the event, ensuring everything ran flawlessly. It will definitely be our choice again for a future event. Moira

10/10/2025: A simple but beautiful location, with a large, well-kept lawn, an indoor building (where the bathroom is located), and an underground mushroom farm that can be set up.

03/09/2025: I came to this restaurant for dinner with my family (7 adults and 2 children). The atmosphere was quite elegant, the food (both pizza and restaurant) exceptional, and the desserts were phenomenal. The only downside was the biblical wait time between the meal and the dessert. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

05/10/2025: I went to this place last night, and since it was a Saturday night, it was obviously packed, so we were pleased with both the service and the food. Recommended, especially for the smiles. We'll be back to try the pizzas and other dishes. Nice atmosphere. Oh, and I recommend booking.

26/09/2025: It's worth coming for the entire range of fish "antipasto" appetizers. Served in small portions, one after another, on multiple plates :) Delicious and fresh, tried many times and always delicious. Spaghetti with seafood... mmmm :) I RECOMMEND P.S. 14/10/2025: An interesting place with good hot sandwiches and a party atmosphere. It's hard to get there in the evening. Google Maps leads you from a closed parking lot. You have to walk or drive to the highway junction and enter before it. Or take the street on the left, looking from the city, which is just past the railway viaduct and follow it. It's dark in the evening but peaceful. I recommend it.

21/09/2025: We paid €25 per person in advance by bank transfer for the evening, which was a partnership with Nennella. It was a complete rip-off. The menu included DOP buffalo mozzarella with tomato and olives as an appetizer, pasta and potatoes as a first course, seasoned bread (their famous and delicious seasoned bread) as a second course, and baba for dessert. In reality, they brought us a skewer of mozzarella and tomato bites along with a slice of COLD and ICED seasoned bread, a small bowl of pasta with provola and potatoes for the first course, and a mini baba for dessert. And the second course?! We never imagined it would be that. A piece of bread that arrived with the "appetizer." We were disappointed; it was our first time there, and we wanted to try the much-vaunted seasoned bread, but it was awful! What a shame! I won't be back!

25/08/2025: I stumbled upon this place by chance and it was one of the best ice creams I've ever tasted.

13/08/2025: While traveling around Sicily, we happily stumbled upon this amazing bar, ice cream shop, and pastry shop!!! A charming and welcoming location, superb granitas, a wide variety of quality pastries...and last but not least, the friendly and helpful staff. If you're ever in the area, it would be a shame not to visit. Highly recommended!!!

Each dish is an explosion of authentic flavors: from the rich and flavorful appetizers to the traditional first courses prepared with the freshest ingredients, to the main courses and desserts that reflect the history and heart of Sicily. The food was simply spectacular: plentiful, well-cooked, and attentively served. Each course made us feel pampered, right at home. The staff is kind, welcoming, and helpful, always ready to recommend the best dishes on the menu. A place that will stay in your heart, where tradition and quality go hand in hand. Highly recommended!

12/10/2025: Family-run restaurant, friendly and welcoming staff. Generous and tasty portions. It feels like being at home. From there, you can see the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell'Aiuto with a spectacular view of the Agrò Valley. I recommend it.
