05/05/2026: If you like standard Sicilian food served in large portions don’t go here! If you want something a bit different from the run of the mill restaurants, fantastic combinations of flavours and a fine dining experience you must go to this restaurant. The whole experience was wonderful, the service was superb, the presentation of the food a work of art. Can’t recommend it enough, the best restaurant I have been to in Taormina.

06/05/2026: The restaurant is very well-kept and the atmosphere is truly exceptional. The staff is extremely polite and professional. My girlfriend and I were greeted with kindness and a beautiful smile, and we also appreciated the advice on both the dishes and the wines. The fish carpaccio was simply amazing... a perfectly crafted combination of flavors, and the spaghetti with seaweed, anemones, and sea urchins didn't taste like the sea... it was THE sea! More than a dinner, it was an authentic experience, and I highly recommend everyone stop by to try the dishes, which, blending tradition and innovation, are sure to amaze you. 18/05/2026: I visited this trattoria with my husband, and from the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The homemade pasta was delicious, and the dessert was truly spectacular. I highly recommend this place.

Highly recommended for an aperitif while watching a breathtaking sunset or for a top-notch dinner. As the sun sets, you can dine while admiring the moon, and for those with a keen eye, you can even see the planets Jupiter and Venus, shining like two stars. 10/05/2026: The reservation went very well: I called ahead, specified the group size, and everything was perfect. The problem was that only when we sat down did we discover that lunch was exclusively a fixed menu—a piece of information that would have been helpful when booking, even if only to better organize ourselves or make an informed choice. I brought the situation to the attention of the dining room manager, who was helpful and found a reasonable solution. So far, so good. I simply added, in a calm and non-controversial tone, that perhaps it would be helpful to communicate the lunch format when booking. The response, unfortunately, was rather curt: I was told it was my fault, because "it's been like this for forty years," and I should have known better. A customer should never be told they're wrong for not guessing something they weren't told. As for the food, however, I have nothing to complain about: the appetizers are plentiful and truly delicious, very local and authentic, and the first courses are excellent. The portions are generous—perhaps even a little too generous for those, like us, who don't like to weigh themselves down. We hadn't planned on having the meat, but it arrived anyway, and we reluctantly left it almost entirely alone, especially since the only option for taking it home was foil—not exactly ideal. Another thing worth considering: with a set menu, knowing the dishes and allergens in advance isn't optional. One of the appetizers contained bell peppers, to which I'm allergic. If I'd had the menu beforehand, I could have adjusted. I understand it's not easy to manage, but it's something that would really make a difference. The place was packed, and the acoustics left much to be desired—it was very noisy throughout the entire lunch—but that's a minor point. In summary: authentic, quality cuisine, a beautiful setting, an overall pleasant experience. It's a shame about the way things were handled, something that could have been resolved much more simply. I recommend it to anyone looking for a different Sunday in good company, but knowing what to expect in advance.

05/05/2026: We came around 11 o'clock to ask what time they open because we wanted to plan lunch there - I heard that it's not a bar and they open at 11:30. We arrived a moment after this hour, we had large backpacks with us so we took a seat at a table for 4 people (me and my fiancé) - I would like to emphasize that no one was in the restaurant. The waiter came and told us to move to a smaller table even though there were no other people. The food and drinks were very good - I don't want to miss it. Then people started to gather - each table got a welcome treat, unfortunately we didn't - maybe a moment after opening they didn't have ready yet. 2x service was added to the bill - 3 euros per person, which in my opinion should count from a larger group or one service to one bill - especially since we took 1 pizza for half

07/05/2026: We had a horrible experience at the restaurant. I went to Castelmola many times and everywhere people were friendly. Elena, our server was annoyed just by the fact we entered with 3 children. The place was quiet and I said we're going to sit at the last table outside just to make sure children won't bother anyone. The question 'What do you want?' is unacceptable even if English isn't the first language for someone, but she asked also in Italian : Cosa volete?! in a hurry like we were on her way in a quiet place.... My 4 years old daughter was tired so she lifted up the plastic table cover and I told her to put it down. Elena in the other hand has told her off; stop it! Now your family can't eat here because of you!!! She looked at her so badly even though she stopped when I asked her to sit still. The pizza Margherita was okay and the 2 aperols as well, but the service....never again. My card didn't work contactless and she kept shouting it's NEGATIVE PAYMENT, NEGATIVE NEGATIVE....I said we can insert the the card of course and then it worked....never again, never!!!! Elena, educate yourself!!!

16/05/2026: It was recommended by our local host, Isabella. Casa Niclodi was easily the best meal of our entire trip—we’re still talking about it days later. Every dish was incredible, and you can really feel the care behind the food. The service made it even better—so warm, genuine, and attentive without being over the top. It just felt special from start to finish. Don’t miss this place.

05/05/2026: Amazing little restaurant tucked off the street. Amazing service with knowledgeable servers who are happy to explain all the dishes. We had a beautiful meal here and they even catered to our little boy who is only 11 months old. We especially loved the sea bass Sicilian style. Highly recommend!
