05/08/2026: Good food, rustic atmosphere (the shelves are a bit dated), very friendly staff. We had fried anchovies as an appetizer, followed by linguine with shrimp and scampi, and swordfish Palermo-style. Everything was delicious. I recommend booking.

26/07/2026: A small restaurant that caught our attention while walking around Lipari. We tried it and it did not disappoint. We tried two pasta dishes that were very delicious. It's like eating as a guest at a local's home. I think the reviews do it justice. The cannoli at the end is a must!

04/05/2026: We had a wonderful lunch at Ritrovo La Macina during our trip through the Nebrodi mountains — and it truly felt like discovering a hidden gem. Pippo welcomes every guest personally and makes you feel immediately at home. He took the time to recommend a menu for us — and it was perfectly curated from start to finish. We enjoyed a variety of local antipasti, followed by pasta with mushrooms, and as a main course the famous black Nebrodi pig — a true regional specialty. The food was exactly what we were hoping for: authentic, honest, and full of flavor. Every dish tasted homemade, using high-quality local ingredients and traditional Sicilian recipes. There is no unnecessary sophistication here — just real, typical Sicilian cuisine prepared with care and passion. Combined with the charming atmosphere and the beautiful setting of San Marco d’Alunzio, it made for a truly memorable experience. We would come back anytime — and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Sicily.

03/05/2026: In the heart of the jewel of San Marco D'Alunzio, we discovered La Macina. A down-to-earth cuisine made with ancient flavors and local ingredients. My daughter, while eating her pasta, exclaimed, "The tomato sauce is better than grandma's!" We'll definitely be back!

11/05/2026: Stunning view. Excellent food; if you have any intolerances, they'll substitute dishes with other options. We had a 13-course appetizer and a 3-course main course, all plentiful and well-served. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

07/05/2026: We're from Rome, we're used to traveling and eating well, but I say this from the bottom of my heart: I think this is the best restaurant we've ever eaten at in our entire lives. We'd never seen a place like it! ​We came here for lunch and had an unforgettable culinary experience. We chose the full menu, and be prepared, because you'll literally eat until you can't eat anymore! They brought us a whopping 14 (FOURTEEN!) appetizers, each more delicious and fresh than the last. This was followed by 3 spectacular seafood first courses and 1 second course. The quantities were enormous, but above all, the quality of the fish and the preparation were truly top-notch. And all this at a final price that can only be described as 'incredible'. A value for money that is unparalleled. ​A huge round of applause goes to the owner and all the staff: wonderful people, incredibly generous, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They make you feel pampered from the beginning until dessert and their fantastic amaro and limoncello. And then, the location... Eating on their terrace, overlooking what I think is the most beautiful view in all of Sicily, reconnects you with the world. If you're in Forza d'Agrò, stopping at Ristorante Il Padrino isn't just a recommendation, it's a must. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything!

08/08/2026: Hello, we had dinner two nights in a row. What can I say? We were satisfied. The food was excellent, there was a wide selection of unique wines. The prices were affordable, and the staff was professional and qualified. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was a great person. We will definitely be back. We highly recommend it. 05/08/2026: Great authentic food, friendly staff, lovely setting (we ate in the wine bar section and were grateful for the air con!) - we were guided in our wine choice, the daily specials were explained to us and the food arrived when expected. I had been dubious as there were mixed reviews, but we had a great evening and would def recommend Da Nino for an authentic Sicilian experience. Though please book ahead if it’s on your list - it was busy (and understandably so) 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

03/05/2026: We've stayed there twice now. Very nice, clean hotel. Well located. Short walk to the city center. Friendly and helpful staff. We were particularly impressed by the friendly and attentive ladies at reception. The only drawback is the toilets, which are much too low. Not ideal for taller people. A mosquito net on the window would be a good idea to keep out the annoying mosquitoes. Otherwise, everything was great. We'd gladly stay again 🙂

04/07/2026: My friends and I had dinner at this restaurant one evening on the terrace, which has a breathtaking view of Taormina and Castelmola. The food was delicious. What's more, everything is homemade! The owner was lovely, very funny, and incredibly attentive. It was a bit chilly, and he lent us some blankets. I highly recommend it!
