22/02/2026: We got married in Lipari on October 4th. It was an intimate civil ceremony, with 25 guests in total. Following an excellent lunch and some excellent reviews, we chose Sangre Rojo restaurant for our celebration. Nunzia guided us through the lunch menu and table settings, respecting our desire for simplicity and suggesting what she felt would be appropriate, but also gently and firmly advising us against what she deemed unsuitable. The lunch went very well, and we won't waste time raving about the raw antipasti, the octopus and bean soup, the busiate pasta with anchovies and fennel, and the citrus-stuffed calamari, because they simply have to be tried (no more fuss). A special mention, however, goes to the panna cotta with freshly picked figs, which overcame the feeling of satiety in all (all!) of our guests. The view, with the Lipari coast stretching into the blue sea, did the rest. A huge thank you to Nunzia, her family, and all the staff for their kindness and professionalism! Highly recommended! 30/01/2026: I've been to dinner several times, accompanying guests from the boat I worked on... the restaurant is worth it in every way... the view, the welcome, the professional, attentive, and friendly service... the carefully prepared dishes of an innovative cuisine that still maintains Aeolian and Sicilian traditions... the well-stocked wine cellar. You can also start the evening by booking an aperitif while admiring a spectacular sunset. The guests were enthusiastic and satisfied. We warmly thank all the staff who made our evenings relaxing and, above all, cheerful, always capable of providing a smile. PS: Book in advance... it's a very popular place.

One of the few places open at that hour, we sat down without the usual hassle of reading Google reviews. We've never made a happier choice! The very kind owner welcomes us and we enjoy an excellent pani cunzatu, bursting with truly delicious ingredients. Fair prices. A must-try!

09/04/2026: We only went there for a meal. It's a fantastic restaurant; the pizza was incredibly delicious, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. As is typical in Italy, you can get food here even late, making it a great place to stop for a relaxing meal after a night hike back from the crater.

09/04/2026: We only visited the restaurant and the pizzas were delicious . For dessert we tried the tiramisu and the lemon sorbet and they were so good I wish I had asked for the recipe.

07/04/2026: One of the best meals I’ve ever had! The service was impeccable, the staff were so friendly and kind. It’s in such a good location and has the loveliest atmosphere. We had the Spaghetti with Shrimps and the Spaghetti with Aeolian sauce - both were 10/10!

The views are serene, calm, tranquil, and breathtaking, and the sunsets here just hit differently — they’re something else. Pierpaolo is truly exceptional — attentive, genuine, and always goes above and beyond to make sure everything feels perfect. Thank you also to Marta, Maria, Lorenzo and the rest of the team for your warmth and kindness; you make every stay unforgettable. Truly one of my favorite hotels in the world.

02/11/2025: For me, there are no more beautiful places on earth. Here you are in paradise. The beauty and wild character of the island of Vulcano complement the sophisticated allure of the resort, with that dominant white typical of Aeolian architecture and those massive cubic shapes with flat roofs and terraces. The infinity pool seems to dive into the sea in a double play of blues of different yet equal hues. Divine cuisine, the freshest fish, and breakfast with endless choices. A dream. Because perhaps such beauty can also be found in the Caribbean, but the goodness of Italian cuisine and the charm left on this land by all the history that passed through it through the Arabs, Normans, and Bourbons can only be found here. I love it.

18/10/2025: Very friendly and delicious. Even in October, outside of peak season. We had swordfish and grouper, both extremely fresh and well-prepared. The dessert was also a delight.

03/02/2026: Not a positive experience, on the contrary!!! Very expensive. That day there was a fixed menu for €45 per person, which we didn't choose because it was too much for us. We only chose two courses from the menu, and were told that if we had chosen the courses separately the prices would have been different, but they hadn't imagined this. We had a lentil mousse and a main course: 1 shrimp with 1 artichoke and shaved parmesan. 1/4 bottle of house wine and a chocolate heart for dessert. €97 Luckily we got the 7-euro discount! Had we known, we would have ordered the full menu and spent even less, paradoxically. The dishes were a bit sparse. The receipt was unclear, very unclear, which bears witness to what was said. We don't recommend it. I'm replying in my own review because there's no other way to respond to the Osteria. I even more strongly discourage this place, and I'd add that we wholeheartedly welcome the advice to eat a sandwich because when we decide to sit down in a restaurant, we choose by looking at the paper menu or even online, but certainly by the prices listed, not verbally, without knowing the cost of the dishes. Indeed, a self-respecting restaurant that respects its customers would also list the costs of all dishes externally, or at least bring the menu to the table. And always considering a self-respecting restaurant that deserves to be called such, it doesn't issue a receipt indicating: Main courses €90 as an indication of the entire meal. And in response to the negative review, he commented: "Let's do the math together." Math isn't done together, it's put on the receipt!! I'd add that this place is only an Osteria in name. As for the compliments, they were undoubtedly deserved, and I reiterate that the dishes were good. In fact, I noted in the review, and I emphasize again, that the dishes were sparse, as you can see from the photos, and also expensive. We will definitely return, as I said, because the islands are very charming. We certainly won't choose this Osteria, but rather some other place that doesn't aim to exploit customers.
