It's an exciting journey through the flavors of the world. The large, open kitchen, directly connected to the dining area, is particularly appealing. The dishes are also a visual treat, presented with great style – a true delight!

02/04/2026: We had such a beautiful lunchtime experience at Ristorante Badia. The restaurant itself is incredibly aesthetically pleasing, colourful, vibrant, and full of authentic Sicilian charm. We ordered the Risotto alla Marinara and every bite was absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh, and the sauce on the risotto was good. We also tried the Tagliatelle rosso di Mazara e tartufo. Although it had to be substituted with local smaller prawns instead of the red shrimp, the price was adjusted accordingly, which we really appreciated. The dish was still delicious, full of flavour, with fresh, fragrant truffle that elevated it beautifully. After our meal, we were offered a delicious almond aperitif, which was the perfect touch to end a lovely lunch. The servers were warm, welcoming, and made us feel so at ease throughout. We would certainly recommend visiting!

01/01/2026: A memorable December 31st: we ate outside even though it was raining, warmed by blankets, the fire, and above all by the attentive staff who pampered us until the very end. Jacqueline was an excellent hostess.

21/12/2025: What an experience ! Fantastic apetizer (sardinas fried to perfection with a simple home made mayonaise) and ensalata de bacalao with grapefruit and olives. My taste sense just exploded. Luckily there was a glass of the finest sauvignon to help getting back to earth 🙈😇. Delicious it was. Thank you very much.

08/04/2026: A restaurant beautifully situated on Isola Bella. We went there in the evening without a reservation and managed to get a table. The menu was varied, but the prices were above average. Despite having a starter, main course, and dessert, we unfortunately left feeling a bit hungry. That would have been fine, as the food tasted great, but for the price, one naturally expects something different. The service was adequate. The single waiter tried his best to manage everything on his own while remaining friendly.

The setting, a terrace overlooking Isola Bella, is welcoming and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

17/04/2026: Had an excellent experience at Garden da Nino. The seafood (fish, shrimp, clams, and pasta with clams) was fresh and absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding—very attentive and welcoming. Highly recommended! The view in the afternoon was absolutely stunning and made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

12/04/2026: At the recommendation of a friend, we visited this restaurant from Piazza Armerina. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with extreme professionalism and warmth by the owner and the entire staff, who were helpful and attentive. 😊 ​Trusting their advice, we enjoyed some very fresh fish appetizers and a truly exquisite seafood first course, excellent in both quality and quantity. We rounded off the meal with excellent wine, both sweet and bitter, feeling pleasantly pampered throughout the meal. 😊 ​A perfect combination of courtesy and fine cuisine. 02/05/2026: The waiter was super friendly, the food was exceptional, and they've changed the restaurant's decor, which is much more elegant! Don't bother queuing for another restaurant further away, because this one is better :)

02/05/2026: After several days in Taormina, we ate at four restaurants, and this was by far the best I've had, along with Mama Rosa's restaurant. We had a fantastic evening! The pistachio and guanciale pasta was exceptional! Don't bother going to Don Nino's tavern a little further down; it's not quite as good as here at La Grotta Azzura. Thank you so much to the whole team at La Grotta Azzura!!

07/04/2026: We did a beautiful hike from Taormina up to the top of the hill, which was definitely the highlight of our visit. The views were absolutely breathtaking — we could see Etna, the sea, and the Teatro Greco. It was truly stunning. In the evening after the dinner we went all the way down by walk, very easy, comfortable and illuminated. The restaurant also offers a very nice view, but I would recommend going when the weather is warm and the windows are open to fully enjoy it. The service was very kind and welcoming, which we really appreciated. The food was good —around four-star, but we had slightly higher expectations when it came to the cuisine.

One comment for improvement, it would be great to have a smaller bottle of water as for 1 person 75cl is way too much! I ordered a fresh orange juice instead. 09/04/2026: My family and I went here twice in four days - that should speak for itself. Very easy and quick, and the food is delicious. Staff is also very friendly. If you sit outside, the people watching is great, as this restaurant is located on a busy side street.

22/03/2026: A Messina hotspot for beer lovers and a true gathering place. Angelo always has new things to offer, especially from Italian and Sicilian microbreweries. The 10 taps are always top-notch, and every time you find something new to discover. A place you never tire of. Thanks Beer Bang 🍻

11/02/2026: The beers are excellent, with a wide variety, as is the food, with various types of hummus and sandwiches. Reasonable prices and a relaxed atmosphere.

04/03/2026: In Messina, it's always the same story. Good pasta, for goodness' sake. But here they keep raising prices. And serving less than they used to. If you want to keep customers, you have to keep them satisfied.
