11/08/2026: I had two granitas and two arancini, one with ragù and one with spinach, both delicious. The arancini ragù was especially amazing, truly. Fantastic hospitality, I hope to return soon. Highly recommended!

11/08/2026: A quick stop at this bar up on the hill with a beautiful view of Tormine and the little square of Castellmola. The waitress was very friendly and pleasant. We ordered granitas and they were absolutely amazing. Special mention for the peach granita – a real treat!
07/08/2026: We happened to be celebrating a birthday, and they brought us a slice of cake with a candle. Everyone was so kind!

04/07/2026: My friends and I had dinner at this restaurant one evening on the terrace, which has a breathtaking view of Taormina and Castelmola.
The food was delicious. What's more, everything is homemade!
The owner was lovely, very funny, and incredibly attentive. It was a bit chilly, and he lent us some blankets.
I highly recommend it!

10/11/2025: Thank God it was so crowded in Taormina with heavy traffic so we ended up in this great place. It is the best restaurant I've visited during my 10-day visit in Sicily. You can have a very good taste of traditional cuisine and taste one of many wines they offer. The atmosphere in the yard is just magical

Le Mimose di Falanga e Santamaria

09/06/2026: House red wine from a Tetra Pak served ice-cold in juice glasses, the Maccheroni Norma were good, the service was unmotivated and grumpy, but the view of Naxos was fabulous.
Each dish was €1 more expensive on the bill than on the menu, plus a €2.50 cover charge.
Conclusion: Not recommended! There are many better restaurants in Castelmola!
27/05/2026: Stunning sea view, but the lack of customers should have been a red flag. The welcome was incredibly unpleasant, with cutlery practically thrown on the table.
The pasta was good, but the mussels in the risotto were clearly not fresh.
The service was deplorable, and the owners showed absolutely no friendliness.
The final surprise was the bill: the tomato and mozzarella starter was €27. Clearly outrageous considering the small portion. In plain terms, this kind of restaurant is a rip-off!
Absolutely avoid this place!!!

11/04/2025: Fermati a cena dopo una visita del posto per una pizza! La vista è fantastica,merita una tappa! Pizza buona! Servizio un po lento...migliorabile, ma ricordo che quella sera c'era un evento per cui probabilmente il motivo è riconducibile a quello.

25/05/2026: Excellent! The pasta in red sauce with aubergines was phenomenal. Prepared with perfection! Best pasta dish i have ever eaten!
We also had veal rolls with pistachio which was served with potatoes. What an amazing concept. And the connoli's made with fresh ricotta?! Indescribeable!Thoroughly enjoyed this experience.

24/05/2026: We were fortunate enough to have lunch on May 15 as part of a tour. The food was amazing! The pasta, cannoli, almond cookies and almond wine were incredible. The best we had in our time in Italy!

20/06/2025: We are staying at the Villa Sonia Hotel and their restaurant La Caverna is just fabulous and the staff are stars!
We have been made so very welcome by all the staff both at the hotel and restaurant.
The pizzas are to die for and we would highly recommend a visit or maybe two!
30/04/2025: Maria, the owner, was so nice! She explained all the foods and wines perfectly! The wine was very good but the food was amazing! We don't eat so much anymore, so she had the chef split all the courses for us. That was a good idea as we still could not finish it all! Very generous portions! Will tell all my friends and family while in Taormina this is a must!

15/08/2024: On s'installe en fin d'après midi pour une boisson. On demande le prix : 3€. Lorsqu'on veut payer -> 2X3 = 8 visiblement. Pour le principe ce n'est pas agréable. Ils ont finalement accepté de faire payer le prix annoncé. Sinon le lieu est assez sympathique, quoique vieillot. Un terrasse très étroite présente une très belle vue sur l'Etna. Bref, allez-y mais soyez vigilants et demandez les prix (qui comme d'habitude ne sont pas affichés)
